I recently bought my wife a brand new suv. It came from the dealer with a ceramic coating, which is great. The problem is that the car has swirl marks on it from improper washing techniques at the dealership, and the ceramic coating is on top of the swirl marks🤦♂️

I don't get why cars don't come with some sort of paint protection or sealant from factory. You'd think with how expensive vehicles are getting, especially with some paints, that they would take measures to protect it. At least for a few months to a year's worth of protection. Anyway, I enjoyed the video. I already knew a lot of that stuff but I still really enjoy seeing different techniques from different channels
You know its funny Ford recommends that owners of the Ford GT PPF the car before driving it. I'm thinkin like FU Ford you charge a half million dollars and you guys can't PPF the damn thing when it's apart?? Also, Bentley and Rolls Royce do some polishing at the factory but not to perfection, it's a kind of a half ass job.

I’m really trying to learn how to polish my cars and trucks, and I really like your methods but I have a question concerning pressure on the polisher, I’ve heard someone say 14 to 15 pounds pressure and you mentioned only one or two lbs pressure? is there a happy medium do you find less pressure is better
Have you noticed Audi has crap paint ? I got one tiny rock thrown up on my hood the other day and it took off the clear cote and paint all the way down to the primer . I don’t want to pay that much just to do a rock chip . I got paint marker from Audi and clear cote pen . I’m still debating which is best the car is brand new I’ve had it two months . Should I do throwing marker and then wait a day and polish the crap out of it or get the whole hood painted ??? 🤬😫
Therealdeal84 it’s white I decided to paint it with the marker and clear coat then waited a week and wet sanded it to level it then used a cutting pad to buff it and then a polishing pad to finish looks brand new .
Can you machine polish dealer-installed Zurich Shield? Either they did not correct the paint before applying or this stuff is just not very good which seems like it gets a lot of bad reviews. I would like to remove and apply the graphene coating.
Rub finger lightly over paint. If you feel bumps, then yes. Some people recommend running your finger in a plastic bag over the paint for more sensitivity
@officialtjtrev8910 Sounds like you don't need a clay bar then. Clay bars are for removing particulates, but not swirls. I'd start with a light finishing polish Meguiar's M20532 Mirror Glaze Ultra Finishing Polish then go over that with a wax or ceramic coat
Microfiber up have less surface area then then laying down I disagree with what Adam is saying. It will cut more with more surface area. When it is full of spent compound and clear coat that’s when it doesn’t cut as much.
