I can't get out much anymore, and I'm an outdoor person, so I feel I've been outside watching you. Such a cosy way to live. Ga.USA
So glad you're enjoying them Dianne
Such a wonderful way to share with so many folks who would love to be out there w you. Happy floating.
You are my tribe and sound just like me ☺ My tiny will be in the hills or rural areas 🏞
My sister worked at that Nestles factory in the early sixties.
Home made toast ... Ha ha ha , that was funny . And also it should be boat made toast :)
Pleased the honey is going down well.
Kevin
Thanks Kevin it's wonderful x
Floating Our Boat
My pleasure
you two do make me chuckle..!!! always smiling and happy....thats the way life should be. XXX
"Marmalade on homemade toast" I started making my own bread some 5 years ago and haven't bought a loaf in any shop since. I also make my own marmalade (I live near Seville where the "proper" oranges come from!) Will be going back to UK for Xmas, near to the Basingstoke Canal (upon whose banks I grew up) but not looking forward to cold weather. Here, currently, we are getting daily highs of 20C or 21C. The trees have yet to drop their leaves, uncanny.
Hello from Belgium, thank's for your videos and your joyce.
Hi from New Zealand, Looks cold over there. Great Videos.
I think you are one of the most lovely couples on the planet...really love your videos, really love how you've made such a beautiful lifestyle; I think this has to be my favorite you tube channel ever xx
Aaaaaaawwww thanks Patricia. Thanks for that and for watching xx
The nestle factory will soon be a distant memory and covered with over priced housing sadly. The times they are a changing, as the wonderful Bob Dylan says! Great vlog guys, you finally look relaxed again
I’ve been with you from day 1. You know I’ll follow you anywhere (in a non stalking way) but my word, I’m glad you’re out of London. It was almost painful to watch. Though Hampton Court and the Gasommiter flats were quite interesting! More relaxing times ahead, I’m sure.
Totally agree with you. I too have breathed a sigh of relief that they have left London!!
Another good vlog guys, well done 😁👍👏👏👏
Thank you for doing London - if I ever buy a narrowboat I won't be tempted...
Ha ha. We enjoyed it but won't be going back in s hurry
Hi Rich from Napier in New Zealand. Along with your home made toast at 3.09 I spied a bowl of Sherddies. I love those cereals but they are so difficult to obtain over here. Enjoy your breakfasts. Barry
Great I am halfway. I started at ep 65 but then started at the beginning.
Well thats made our decision an easier one when we get our boat in 2021..... avoid London!!! Anxiety, stress, litter and more stress is all we could see in your London videos!! All that plastic in the water!!!! I bet you have not been back since !? Lynette x
There were good things about being in London too, but we feel we have done it now and won't be in a hurry to go back
Thanks for the update. I’m looking forward to your journey up north. When Rich said “up north” he sounded like me, a true northerner! I think it’s great to see towns and cities from the canal but in the case of London I think it’s better at street level. Having said that, a trip on the Thames is great and the clipper is a very cheap way to do that. The canal already looks much better.
when i see you in that flat cap i think of Fred Dibnah :D
Ey up :)
I Used to work at there a nestle in1977 good job but got sick on milky bars...great vlog...
Lived in London as a child, and again in later life when I had to work there. The old buildings had character and warmth. The new buildings seem designed to be as ugly, angular and cold as possible. The city just grates my senses when I visit. I have lived in and visited a lot of other cities, none seem anywhere near as repelling and charisma free as modern London. I can easily understand why you couldn't wait to get out.
Completely agree with you Andy unless you really know where to look for the hidden London
Nestle is in hayes if u remember rightly
You are probably going past Harefield and Denham village etc
Love your videos as you're both always smiling and living the dream
Just watched your map intro and the description of your journey so far.
Very pleased to hear you're coming oop north! It seems that very few of the NB UA-cam vloggers come north. Please give a big wave when you pass Huddersfield and I hope you travel up the Calder valley as it is my old stomping ground and the reason I love narrow boats so much. 😁
Happy journeys.
So glad you got out of London, i spent some time there many moons ago, i was very homesick for Sydney and missed the bright blue sky and the sun very much. For me the City and narrowboats and canals are something of a contradiction, it must be the mind set i have about them both i guess.
You have kept Bee's? I'm a Beekeeper here in CT USA.
Lol I used to work for the government and travel to London two or three times a week from Hill I’m so pleased I don’t do that anymore I just don’t like London or Big cities you do right to run (Motor) Up North 👍 keep up the good work 😀 best regards us 3 Up North 👍😀🐾
Thanks for watching - looking forward to hills and stone walls x
It does look a bit chilly but it's even colder her "up North" "eeeee ecky thump", I struggled a bit with some of the audio ( I have poor hearing even with my bat wing ears!) but I got the gist, then at the end when you took the train I got full bore ha ha, never mind interesting as usual, the dogs looked like they were having a great time and glad to be in the relative countryside again, running a stove is an art, usually turning down the airflow to prolong the burning time does the trick, just finding the right setting is all it takes and a bit of experimenting, you will be able to say Hi to David (cruising the cut) when you to Braunston as I think that is where he is based, I was thinking the postman is going to have to be fit to deliver your Christmas cards!, hope all is well, stay safe, Albert
try headphones if you struggle with the sound :o)
Yes I do sometimes, normally the audio is fine, just this time on the back of the boat it seemed quite, but thanks for the advice anyway.
Hi Albert - I think The mic may have been pointing the wrong way and the engine was being heard too much. Thanks for watching.
No worries, I could hear but not the usual clarity, I know how it is, I have spent sometimes 20 minutes chatting away thinking I had pressed record and hadn't (some cursing goes on then I can tell you!), all in the rich tapestry of life, have a good day. Albert
You'll be back, I'm sure.
Hi Fran and Richard thanks for the update keep safe and warm this winter ps have you any hot water bottle we use in then in camper van in winter keeps us nice and warm last weekend. And few 🍺🍺🍺🥂🥂🥂🤔👍👍👍
Just seen this , my wife and I are planning to get a boat in two years . She is however like you an obsessed beekeeper , do you get to visit and apiaries on your journeys to keep your hand in ?
Is there a vlogers Christmas lunch this year? And are going if there is. Glad to see abit more countryside again. Keep warm, its going to be 40 degrees here in Adelaide Australia tomorrow. Whew!!!
Hi Raymond. Xmas lunch been postponed until new year. Phew 40 deg!!!
Thanks for watching.
You can't beat a good pootle, we like pootling in the van.
Are you having any problems with condensation now we are in to winter, and if so, how are you combating it?
When will we see you in Nottingham, any plans for getting up this way?
Hi guys. No solid plans yet after Braunston. We're not suffering with condensation too badly just wipe windows every morn. Keep on pootling.
Wheres ya bobble hat Richy Rich? And what’s happened to the wheaty bangs for brekky ?
I bet you glad to get out of that rat race .bk out in the country NICE ONE
when do you think yyou'll reach leighton Buzzard, would be nice to wave as you pass by :)
Great video as usual. Did you conciously opt to do without a TV? respect for that.
Hi David - yes we did. We have catchup on laptop but still hardly watch. Thanks for watching us though :)
The smiles are so much broader now you are heading to gods own country....I was in London over the weekend at no2 sons place (DIY'ing) I like to say I've been but I like to leave and my point of view canals are for tranquility and as you say in London are a low cost style of living - nothing wrong with that but not for me - enjoy the cruise north or east because those middle levels are supposed to be worth a visit !
Nev Wells gods country is everywhere not just up the north sorry but give me the south anytime
You didn't say you could sing Rich? London's not on our list at all. I'm like you bab far too stressy. The north awaits your safe return... We'll get the bunting out!
