Wait till they go on sale. I have two copper and one stainless, and got them for $149. I think they're running a March Madness sale now at that price. BTW...I make Moscow Mules in the copper ones and Mojitos in the stainless one. Works great!
I’ve wanted one of these for years, they look terrific and a lot of thought obviously went into this. Too bad no thought has gone into their customer service! Most of the reviews I’ve seen are terrible with leaking issues and most importantly no response or assistance from the company! I don’t know how these companies think they’ll survive if they don’t address the issues with customers as they arise. Until they do, I’ll go without!
Special K aww that sucks, during Christmas time they make an 11% alcohol Christmas ale called “Mad Elf” delicious il send you one during Christmas if you review it!
Great review. I agree that it looks cool, and maybe it would get easier to take apart the more you do it....I'm just lazy. I'll stick with my Stanley for now.
Pretty cool. I like taking my Stanley vacuum insulated growler out camping to stop at new breweries. How long will beer last in one of these pressurized ones?
Do you make beer yourself? Do you pour it from the yeast tub into the keg instead of in bottles with sugar to make CO2? Or do you have to use beer that is completely ready with CO2 for the keg?
@@kybrewreview I have one and follow their cleaning videos that show very easy cleaning and have had absolutely no problems. I can link you the video if interested. Maybe they have changed how they recommend cleaning it.
@@kybrewreview Damn. Talk about defensive. All I did was point out incorrect/outdated information. Especially since it may help others. ✌️ Good luck to you.
Good review. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
we have a ton more to come!
Just got one for my bday thanks for the review!
Great Review!! Now thats a cool Growler!! My Growlers Really lack in comparison most are Glass!!! Enjoyed!!
Glass are ok if you plan on drinking your beer right away. I like this because I can get it filled with my favorite brew and drink on it for 2 weeks!

I've used it for years and haven't had any issues.
wonder how much user error is behind those reviews lol
Hell yeah, I love the longer videos! Thanks for the content. Have you ever had any beer from Troegs brewing company out of Hershey PA?
We have not. I don't think they make it down to KY.

4:11 - Seal of approval. 🤘
How about just running some PBW/Starsan cleaner through it?

Love the Stanley, I honestly think it has many connections, one is bound to leak at some point, especially being pressurized.
We found the replacement CO2 Cartridges on eBay for 12.99 a 10 Pack
Pretty cool. I like taking my Stanley vacuum insulated growler out camping to stop at new breweries. How long will beer last in one of these pressurized ones?
About 2 weeks, a little longer with stouts.
@@kybrewreview Thanks. Probably will be scoping out a sale in the future.

We make mead from time to time but not beer. I would recommend your beer being at the bottling stage before carbonating.
can this growler be kept in the fridge with the C02 cart installed?
Yup
hello can i fill ukeg with bottle of beer instead of draft beer?
You could but it would defeat the purpose of the ukeg.
I just got this for Christmas and it’s not pouring out very fast.... I just got back from the brewery and set to 6 psi, any help would be great.
I would make sure you have the co2 and cap screwed on properly, as well as using the correct size co2 cartridge.
Thanks so much! Wasn’t tight enough :)
Can you put beer in straight from the fermenter (without Co2)?
If it been filtered and cooled, though without co2 it's not going to come out without pouring it from the top
@@kybrewreview Ok thx, so its not able too force carbonate?
It can carbonate, though I don't recommend using it for that, the keg Smith stuff is better for that.
Where do you get the co2 at?
Amazon, or a restaurant outlet
It sells for $149 at the moment and I am tempted to get it...
@Sam Chadwick I did one on the uKeg GO, but it's in German.
I could see this working with a Mr. Beer Kit
We happen to have one, it may happen.
I’m new to this but do I place the co2 once I’m gonna start pouring or do I gotta put the co2 even if I’m just gonna store it in the fridge
For this particular unit and to keep your beer fresh i recommend adding the co2 as soon as you get home from the brewery.
What’s the name of the guy with beard?
That would be me, special K
KyBrewReview you are sexy 😍!
This would make a lovely addition to my creature-cave, lol.
It is a beautiful growler.
I could care less how it looks if it doesn’t work and the company doesn’t stand by it as so many reviews on Amazon have reported!
You do not need to completely disassemble it to clean. They even have videos showing how to clean it. It's quite easy.
Not really, you have to take the whole sight tube off. There are easier and less finicky pressurized growlers.
@@kybrewreview I have one and follow their cleaning videos that show very easy cleaning and have had absolutely no problems. I can link you the video if interested. Maybe they have changed how they recommend cleaning it.
I appreciate but we are good, we no longer use this one since we upgraded to a better pressurized growler.

And you have to make carbonated coffee and then put coffee liquor in it ...
We might do it sometime.
What 200 $ ?! Ima buy one tho
If you got the cash it, Keeps the beer fresh for weeks!
do you still use this thing?
Yup monthly!
Autoclave it.
