Thank you for posting this! Just got a bottle of Montblanc PB myself, and the first impressions are not inspiring: the ink doesn't seem to flow well in my Visconti Van Gogh M and the pen produces a very pale, unsaturated line. It will only write well if I "prime" the converter.
Not sure if I should return the bottle or keep it. I may try running the ink in other pens, maybe it will flow better in my Pelikan m605.

I have had the same issue. I realized later that the ink was getting diluted by the water/moisture on the feed/barrel. Right now, my pen would start pale, but in a little writing later it goes to the right color. In fact, this ink is one of the darker blue inks. I was very disappointed at first....but now it is my favorite ink, and I have hoarded 4 bottles :😀. I do want to hear back from you later. Also, do try it in different pens. It is kinder to my montblanc pens that all of the Iroshizuko inks I have tried.

@@Shak-MD A quick update: the ink behaves much better in my Pelikan, so I'm keeping the bottle :)

I feel like the ink featheres just by itself by the particles used. It's impossible to write a "straight" line. You can instantly see it when you write "Pelikan"

This was composition type notebook, cheap. But does well enough. I use rhodia pad these days. I have an under the microscope video coming up showing how feathering is relative.

Did you have to tune the nib?

This is not a modified nib. They are pretty wet writers out of the box.

Hi, I have a question about Pelikan. Some people say that the modern green-black version of the pen is not translucent. That change happened somewhere around 2022. Some other people say that modern green version is still translucent but its just less translucent. Can you clarify whether ink level is visible in the modern green pen? Thanks a lot!

The newer one is completely not see through. I was unable to see any ink level with flashlight directly underneath.

Does this clog nib units as much as permanent black inks??

In my experience, no clogging at all on this pen. Even on MB pens. Plus, it is much much easier to flush out of MB pens than Pilot iroshizuku inks.

@@Shak-MD Okay, thank you. Will get a bottle tomorrow.
So far I've been using only black inks at work, as other colours are not allowed in.
