Mic don’t get discouraged, in the end these are just some minor setbacks along this journey. Can tell you and Lori are way happier working with this shop, you two are smiling way easier, and have to say these guys may be a young crew but then again when you’re 58 most people are young to you, they’re professionals through and through. The fits and finish I’m seeing are immaculate. This bud is gonna look way sweet when it’s all finished
What an amazing workshop.such a contrast to the last place. These people actually work!
haha yeah night and day difference
Ya casi finaliza la tapicería. Está quedando muy bonito. Ya quiero ver terminado todo. 🇻🇪😀
OMG!!!
Amazing upholstery team. So dedicated. Go Kona !!!
I remember my 1978 Honda Accord had same topping in 1990s.
LOL, Lori reminds me in 1980s her Scooby-Doo cooler.
Awesome topping work, it looks costly hours.
I am loving these interior episodes. So much work getting done, by such a skilled group of folks, working like a well oiled machine.
Glad you enjoy it!
Amazing craftsmanship!! Hard working and extremely skilled. Pulling all nighters shows how much they care about getting the job done right. The colors you chose are perfect for your build IMHO. Thanks again for showing just how much time and effort is involved in a restoration of this magnitude. Certainly one of the best ever.
Thank you very much!
Hope you fand you wife feels better!!
Great job!
and this guys works excellent!!!! 👌🏼👊🏼👏🏼
Thank you !
it looks nice. Really enjoy to watch from begin to end soon..
Hello, I live just a few kilometers from the birthplace of the VW BULLI. I think this careful restoration is excellent and a lot of fun to watch. My first car was also a VW Beetle built in 1951, it was already 10 years old when I bought it. Still driving a VW this time it's a TIGUAN. I'm already looking forward to the next episode.😃
I am over the moon with how amazing Kona is turning out. I'm sure you can't wait to be finished. This has been an amazing story. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Hi, thanks for sharing your aventures with your bus. The shooting dates appear on your videos! march 2022, 1 year ago! Do you drive it now ? Why so much delay between shooting and publishing? I'm honestly interested
@@pubar5834don’t make assumptions about others you don’t know 😝.. they are not dragged out on purpose , we post them as we have time . My channel started with other content than my bus.. and I’m not trying to post only bus videos .. that’s why I post other stuff in between 😮
@Gloubi06 Because I have a life other than editing bus videos .. I run three channels and have many jobs . I get to them as I can. Things in life and other obligations always come up pushing delays. When I was actively restoring the bus .. I’m filming it all day everyday .. no time to edit then. Just like a tv show .. film it all then It goes to post production.
These guys are magician's unbelievable craftsmanship......top notch work...
Absolutely!
Extremely professional out fit by this company --> West Coast Classic interiors = their staff skills are very impressive !
Man Mic!! So much action in this video!! Such a contrast compared to being at Skinners where you had to wait on someone to help you. I'm so glad to see some beautiful work being done on your bus! I can't wait for the next video!! Also, so awesome to see Lori happy and smiling again. Its good to be done at Skinners and moved on to the next stage. Bravo my friend.
No doubt!
a friend sent me here... he likes that van and deaf dude building it is an inspiration for all Deafies. thumbs up from me n him, peace!
Супер интересно фото большое видео ❤😊😊😊 лайк лайк лайк ❤❤❤❤😊😊
Looks to me like these rag roof kits are not exactly designed for the DIYer. Thats a lot of work for fitment
Glad I had them on the job!
Just so very 😁 happy for u mitch and Lori 💞, just luv seeing all these professional people doing there professional work, literally art in motion, and evan work at night to get the job done, can't wait for the Windows that will change everything 😁🎉💞have fun , God bless 🙏
Another great Kona video! I may have asked you this before, but do you watch Glenn (aka "The Duckman")? His '5? choppped Beetle "Eleanore"?
Thank you! Yeah! I've watched him over ten years now!
yeh dude. looking good :)
🤙 Thanks man!
Love seeing more progress you two and the people helping getting it done
You're almost at the end! I'm really surprised that the ragtop fit as well as it did with all of the modifications to the roof. It would have been better to fine tune all of the brackets and get it perfectly installed before painting, then it would go on easy. You did it the hard way, but it's done! Yay!
The attention to detail is amazing and they make it look effortless. So much progress. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much!
Bravo TOP Great job!!!!!!!💫👍👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪💪💫
Excelente episoden75...congratulations mig...
It must feel so good to see the light at the end of the tunnel! That bus is top notch, man, top notch! P.S. My son and his classmates at California School for the Deaf in Fremont, CA are following the build! 🤙 Looking so so good!!
Very cool! Glad y’all are enjoying the journey with me ! 😊🤙🏼
That ragtop segment was awesome 👍🏻! Quality workmanship right there! Fun to watch!
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow , looking beautiful, credit to everyone
Looking more and more like it's ready for the road!
You and me both!
Great job! What a fantastic group of people!!
Man, you're going to have heart disease with this car, you're going to develop stress that's impossible, be calm
Haha nah I am good 😊 👍🏼
Hi Mic! What a fabulous job the guys have done for you. Amazing skills and it 's looking amazing! Hope your'e both not too knackered? Looking forward to next episode. Take care of yourselves.🙂
Be encouraged my friend, anytime you do that level of customization you’re going to have 1 million little details come up in the process. In spite of the naysayers, I think you have shown great patients and understanding. Thank you for sharing the process. Prayers and blessings.
Thank you 🙏🏼 😊
Upholstery people are like expert magicians.
agree!
Dear Lori and Mic, at the final end you will own a wonderful, a beautiful, A UNIQUE VOLKSWAGEN BUS T1❣️ Made from your hearts and minds. You realy can be proud of! A T1 Bus for Life 🍀🙏🍀
Greetings from the home of VOLKSWAGEN!
🇩🇪WOFSBURG🇩🇪
Hi Mick and Lori, what a journey, you are nearly there. It'll soon be time to enjoy the bus life. Take care love from the UK.
Hey Mic, there's only one word to say:
WOW!!! 😎🤙
cheers !!
i can't tell, but did you guys get rid of the rubber bump stops for the doors on the outside of the bus? I just decided to remove mine for my bus, but need a way to keep the door from flying open with wind and hitting the other outside bodywork
Yes we had to get rid of them because we added deluxe beltline trims on and we will have door straps on so it will stop the doors going too far open, you will see in future video 👍🏼
Hey 😊 I c Kona is coming along nicely
Loving all the progress in these new episodes. Can’t wait to see it finished.
Beautiful work, amazing hands you have on her at this shop. You need to suffer quite a few nightmares to live your dreams. Its all going to be worth it. So stoked for you kids, you have put so much, so many years into this bus, Kona is the cleanest most beautiful bus I could imagine. You guys are killing it. Much love!
Much appreciated !
After a long time we are waiting to see how konas next birth.?
WOW Brah this shop is amazing!! I can’t believe how much goes into the upholstery of ur bus but these guys & gals make it look so simple but I know it’s not. Kona looks amazing !!
Right?! Thank you!
Fit and finish takes time, it will come you'll see.
Amazing skills the guys at West Coast Classic int. ….❤ cowboy hat guy
Couldn't agree more!
Skilled guys, excellent attitude
It's all about the attitude ! :)
Wow, it's coming together so well and so fast. I'm really glad you found such a great group to do the interior.
Us too!
Hello MicBergsma,
I also often use rubber seal softener in my car.
I am deaf. I come from Germany. Your Bulli looks better.
Greetings Tobi
This is such an epic build. All the details ❤ first class Mic! Great video editing too. So wonderful to see this new episode 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks so much! 😊
Hello Mic here in Brazil VW is called Kombi and your Kombi is stunningly beautiful, congratulations, this Kombi is looking better than ordered, I really liked it
Thank you! 👍
I`m calling you Mic Mountain Mama from now on. "Berg" mountain in German and "ma" mother. I hope you`re going to make a compact version of this say, a 3 or 4 film length episodes from start to finish. I bet you Mic, it will be a hit. It is the most in depth restoration ever filmed.
Thanks for this episode 😍 waiting for the next 😁😝 now mike you have to think about the next restoration, a vw for Lori 😅😁 !! ahahaha go go go
haha.. We shall see!
Fantastic job being done looks lovely only thing I would say is joints in seals to bottom of windows to stop leaks. Well it would leak in uk
Thank you so much! Are you talking about safari windows?
We are curious about work at night… I have my personal idea that Phil was not available at day and/or they didnt want to be on each other feet during the day, can you solve the mistery? 😊
They work at night to finish the job! Simple as that!
Boy you must have slept for at least a couple months after all them all nighters LOL
I see a light at the end of the tunnel..... and its not a train
haha for once!
Real Masters of theyr work - wich anybody gets they a silent airkompressor....
I love your videos
Looking very good. It amazes me how many small details are involved in this work.
incredible how complicated those interiors are. i can’t believe they mass produced something that took that much labor to complete.. good video!!!
I totally agree!
I love the ragtop!
The closer you get to the finish line the more you will find little details pop up the crew at the trim shop seems to be doing a great job
Excelente ya lo esperábamos saludos my friend..desde mexico
Hii, didn`t you put the front windows rubber sealant joint on the lower side????? And excellent job, you´re amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steve from Wolfgang Int. have safari window installation instruction say on the top and at California shop Robert started at the top too. Thank you and thanks for watching!
Thanks a lot!!! Love your channel!
Imagine binge-watching this channel from the beginning?
i love it sooo smooth i wish 1966 bus but my car is vw passat lol still love vw thing
I think this shop is a customer of Walter White's
Hi Mitch and Lori. I'm SO impressed with the loving care you two are putting into this restoration. Kona is a gem. This upholstery crew is top notch and seem to be very easy to work with. I'm enjoying every second of the vids and I don't care how long it takes to post them. I'm just happy you're sharing the process with us and if you're able to defray some cost via the videos, good for you.
My only regret is that I'll never get to meet you and Lori and I'll never see Kona in person.
Really appreciate your comment!
Beautiful good job perfect 👍
Excelente, pero no me gustan las terminaciones de techo.
master craftsmen at work, love it
Looking great! Amazing the amount of work you’re getting done in such a short period of time (finally, eh?) Can’t wait to see it done and on the road.
You and me both!
Yeh, these guys are pros.
Magnificent job Mic!!!
Many thanks!
The sad part about the Kona restoration series is that it's almost over. 😫
He must start another bus restoration and do all the work himself from all the experience he gained.
more Kona videos to come Steve!
Love From Kerala, Traction 4❤🥰
There's nothing like finding great professionals to do an excellent job on your bus.
Amen!
Love these peoples’ craftsmanship.
I was really enjoying watching you restore your VW bus until you switched off your subtitles I’m sorry but I don’t sign so I’m having great difficulty in understanding you so now I feel I’m missing out on such a lot that you are telling us could you please switch them back on again
The subtitles are there, please don't skip the beginning of the videos.. I have instructions for how to turn on the closed captions in your own language. Time stamp 0:13
Clearly that van is going to be vastly better than when it left the factory . Looks fantastic . ❤
Thank. you!
Mic é detalhista ao estremo
Never clicked so fast in my life, whooo hoooo #konathebus !!!!
😂❤❤
Almost near finish! fab guys did brill works, Wonder why work through all night?
I am curious about this too… probably Phil is only available by night for some other work/family stuff?or maybe just they want to be more productive and avoid to be on each other feet during the day? Can you solve us the mystery, Mitch? @MicBergsma
To get the job done !
Just what I envisioned a long time ago with the exterior and interior finished in those colors.
Every time I view those folks spraying adhesive, UNMASKED, I say, "Yipes!"
they like being high.
🤣🤣
Oh ya… 😷😷😷😷
You choose to do the hard thing!
Don’t ever give up ⬆️
Love watching the progress on your beautiful van, keep going NO MATTER WHAT! 🙏🏼🌞✨💖🙌😬
German Bus = German Gummipflegestift. The Stick for the Rubber. I like it. Greetings from Berlin Germany 🇩🇪 😊
Por fin el episodio #75...está quedando hermosa el tapizado de lá vw...mi padre tubo una samba t2 ...viajamos por toda Venezuela en ella en los años 1960...vw es una cultura ...vw es un idioma para los amantes de esos clásicos....
