I am over the moon with how amazing Kona is turning out. I'm sure you can't wait to be finished. This has been an amazing story. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Man Mic!! So much action in this video!! Such a contrast compared to being at Skinners where you had to wait on someone to help you. I'm so glad to see some beautiful work being done on your bus! I can't wait for the next video!! Also, so awesome to see Lori happy and smiling again. Its good to be done at Skinners and moved on to the next stage. Bravo my friend.
Amazing craftsmanship!! Hard working and extremely skilled. Pulling all nighters shows how much they care about getting the job done right. The colors you chose are perfect for your build IMHO. Thanks again for showing just how much time and effort is involved in a restoration of this magnitude. Certainly one of the best ever.
Hello, I live just a few kilometers from the birthplace of the VW BULLI. I think this careful restoration is excellent and a lot of fun to watch. My first car was also a VW Beetle built in 1951, it was already 10 years old when I bought it. Still driving a VW this time it's a TIGUAN. I'm already looking forward to the next episode.😃
I remember my 1978 Honda Accord had same topping in 1990s. LOL, Lori reminds me in 1980s her Scooby-Doo cooler. Awesome topping work, it looks costly hours.
Be encouraged my friend, anytime you do that level of customization you’re going to have 1 million little details come up in the process. In spite of the naysayers, I think you have shown great patients and understanding. Thank you for sharing the process. Prayers and blessings.
Just so very 😁 happy for u mitch and Lori 💞, just luv seeing all these professional people doing there professional work, literally art in motion, and evan work at night to get the job done, can't wait for the Windows that will change everything 😁🎉💞have fun , God bless 🙏
Mic don’t get discouraged, in the end these are just some minor setbacks along this journey. Can tell you and Lori are way happier working with this shop, you two are smiling way easier, and have to say these guys may be a young crew but then again when you’re 58 most people are young to you, they’re professionals through and through. The fits and finish I’m seeing are immaculate. This bud is gonna look way sweet when it’s all finished
It must feel so good to see the light at the end of the tunnel! That bus is top notch, man, top notch! P.S. My son and his classmates at California School for the Deaf in Fremont, CA are following the build! 🤙 Looking so so good!!
Beautiful work, amazing hands you have on her at this shop. You need to suffer quite a few nightmares to live your dreams. Its all going to be worth it. So stoked for you kids, you have put so much, so many years into this bus, Kona is the cleanest most beautiful bus I could imagine. You guys are killing it. Much love!
Hi Mitch and Lori. I'm SO impressed with the loving care you two are putting into this restoration. Kona is a gem. This upholstery crew is top notch and seem to be very easy to work with. I'm enjoying every second of the vids and I don't care how long it takes to post them. I'm just happy you're sharing the process with us and if you're able to defray some cost via the videos, good for you. My only regret is that I'll never get to meet you and Lori and I'll never see Kona in person.
I`m calling you Mic Mountain Mama from now on. "Berg" mountain in German and "ma" mother. I hope you`re going to make a compact version of this say, a 3 or 4 film length episodes from start to finish. I bet you Mic, it will be a hit. It is the most in depth restoration ever filmed.
Dear Lori and Mic, at the final end you will own a wonderful, a beautiful, A UNIQUE VOLKSWAGEN BUS T1❣️ Made from your hearts and minds. You realy can be proud of! A T1 Bus for Life 🍀🙏🍀 Greetings from the home of VOLKSWAGEN! 🇩🇪WOFSBURG🇩🇪
Hello Mic here in Brazil VW is called Kombi and your Kombi is stunningly beautiful, congratulations, this Kombi is looking better than ordered, I really liked it
Hi Mic! What a fabulous job the guys have done for you. Amazing skills and it 's looking amazing! Hope your'e both not too knackered? Looking forward to next episode. Take care of yourselves.🙂
Love this video, the roof mechanism video really helps me, as I have to do this on my 1960 Samba and I've never seen a how to video before. Thank you for all your videos. Best wishes from England.
WOW Brah this shop is amazing!! I can’t believe how much goes into the upholstery of ur bus but these guys & gals make it look so simple but I know it’s not. Kona looks amazing !!
Your color palate is absolutely outstanding. The beachy, bright neutral is so peaceful. The Aqua color with the warm white is the most fitting color for Mitch! As wild as it looks its a color that does exist in the finest waters of the world. I'm very impressed with your vision for Kona.
You're almost at the end! I'm really surprised that the ragtop fit as well as it did with all of the modifications to the roof. It would have been better to fine tune all of the brackets and get it perfectly installed before painting, then it would go on easy. You did it the hard way, but it's done! Yay!
What craftsmanship! Upholstery can be such a finicky beast to tame. These fine folks have the skills, and patience, honed over years of practicing their trade, to really make KONA’s interior pop! Y’all have made great choices in the repair, fabrication, and finishing shops for KONA. Cheers from Dallas!
Some things happen, it is what it is, by the looks of it the van doesn't look far of from being finished, keep pushing through stay strong and you'll get there 👌👌👍👍
Just bought and received your 3 beautiful Kona t-shirts ! Can’t wait to wear them soon when we go to Australia for 3 weeks at end of March ! Will send you photos !
Hi, thanks for sharing your aventures with your bus. The shooting dates appear on your videos! march 2022, 1 year ago! Do you drive it now ? Why so much delay between shooting and publishing? I'm honestly interested
@@pubar5834don’t make assumptions about others you don’t know 😝.. they are not dragged out on purpose , we post them as we have time . My channel started with other content than my bus.. and I’m not trying to post only bus videos .. that’s why I post other stuff in between 😮
@Gloubi06 Because I have a life other than editing bus videos .. I run three channels and have many jobs . I get to them as I can. Things in life and other obligations always come up pushing delays. When I was actively restoring the bus .. I’m filming it all day everyday .. no time to edit then. Just like a tv show .. film it all then It goes to post production.
Por fin el episodio #75...está quedando hermosa el tapizado de lá vw...mi padre tubo una samba t2 ...viajamos por toda Venezuela en ella en los años 1960...vw es una cultura ...vw es un idioma para los amantes de esos clásicos....

Congratulations to the new workshop and good work to everyone.
Subtitles are there ! Instructions are shown twice in the beginning of the video to turn them on 😅 for several videos now .. are you not watching the intro ?
@@MicBergsma I watched it. And turned them on. It only shows subtitles for everyone else. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but it doesn’t show what you’re saying. It used to. I thought you added them to the videos.
