OMG. I LIKE VW BUSES. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE IT WHEN IT RUNS. YOU GUYS ARE GODS MAGICIANS. 😍
Looking forward to seeing
YOUR RIGHT G D MAGICIANS ,, AND G Ds AUTO SAVEORRRRR.. BACK TO LIFE,,.. PEACE...
This was fascinating to watch. A bunch of guys pulling an old bus out of the woods. Hell no! A bunch of professional guys pulling one of if not the most iconic bus of all time back into the 21st century. I loved the time, patience and preparation everyone made to ensure the old lady would not be damaged. Seeing it climb up the ramp, it's like dragging history into the present day. I love these buses and I'm sure you guys will make it look like new. Thanks for posting.
Love your show , God bless you and your family . Before you decide to cut the roof and switch it to a 23 window bus consider keeping as a 15 window as they are more rare and would hold better value .
Agreed If you convert this you’ll severely injure its value to a collector. The 15 windows are much more rare than the 23 windows
I agree 👍. Keep the VW van. Future called vanagon / original👍 🙂.
Weren't the roof windows not a catastrophe in order to keep them tight/ dry?
In 1973, I bought a 67 split window. This does my heart good seeing you guys save this old bus from the grave.
This should be a fun one to get back on the road!
Can't wait to see you start working on this one.
In 1981 I drove across Australia from South to North and back again in a 1957 Kombi van on the main arterial road named the 'Stuart highway'.
That road was unsealed from near the turnoff to the Woomera rocket research base all the way up to around Kulgera in the Northern Territory and I reckon the extremely corrugated and pot-holed surface was probably as rough as some of the worst roads in the world.
That old Kombi travelled remarkably well all things considered but I learned most of what I know about them from fixing things that went wrong with it due to the literal hammering it took during the journey.
I also owned a 1963 model for a while from around 2003 and love those old vans but in the unlikely event you were even able to find a restorable example here now their value has become crazy high.
I still have the window latch and an old domed VW hubcap with a kind of a blade like you see on the old wire spoked sports car wheels across the hub I salvaged from the long abandoned wreck of a bus like the one you feature which I found out in the desert.
I don't know about anywhere else, but Kombi's with the little window's around the edge of the roof line like that derelict bus were referred to as the 'safari' model in Australia and when their value became so ridiculously high even that severely beat up and vandalised old wreck disappeared.
God bless and thanks for some great entertainment.
Looks like a 1963 Turkish Green Deluxe. Nice find….but rough!
Now thats a diamond in the rough... amazing find and amazing rescue....
Thats a great find.Love the show.No swearing, no tool throwing, no drinking.Just a hard working family..
Those VW vans are so cool. My cousin had one of those pop up camper VW vans back in the 70s.
They're still out there! Crazy.
That old boat is a classic. Save that too!
Thats a solid gold rescue.. worth insane nowdays
Awesome a VW bus, yay you found one to restore. ❤
Can't wait to see it restored.
A very lucky opportunity indeed !. This deserves full restoration because of its scarcity. Be gentle with it and restore it..
I love these buses!! One day I’ll have one, hopefully.
Go for it!

Hey Lance...& crew great job of getting the bus out of the wood's. I hopeyou can bring back to life? I love any thing to do with VW.... I prefer the split windshield Good Luck🎉
Great video guys! She's in really rough shape, but these old VW buses are about as good as gold. Even if it turns out to be more work than it's worth for you, I'll bet you will have no problem selling it for a pretty penny. Someone's going to want it for sure.
They make replacement panels for every inch of that old froggie
@@MaggieandMissyPugs sapo velho !? - seria melhor " 🦉 coruja velha ! Aqui no Brasil 🇧🇷 esse carro tem o apelido de " corujinha " ...

How can you not want to save these old Volkswagens , good on ya brethren
q bonito bus son de los mejores ya quiero ver como quedara Dios lo bendiga
Great find and video guys, old VW are awsome, rare too😎👌🇳🇴
Leave it as a 15 window; prejudiced, my family took a red and white one to Japan in 1964 and back to Waco, Texas in 1967. Was a real speed demon, 59 mph flat out going down hill fully loaded with 8 of us and our suitcases. Sometimes I can still hear that engine in my ears as my younger brother and I rode the rear seat all across the country to Oakland, CA and back to Waco three years later. Dad was a career Air Force NCO.
Wow…..some steel and sheet metal little bit of welding and of course a lot of love 💕.
Great 1955 VW Bus - we are looking forward seeing the Follow Up ! Lets see if it can be Restored and that it will Drive again after all those Years sitting Outside and Rusting away ! We think it can be saved ! Great Video and many Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
Great work.
So worth fixing up ..so cool
I had a ‘68 bus that was a camper version but it was gutted when I bought it. It had the roll out vent windows on one side. It was my “truck” for many years . It was very durable except for the brakes!
I sold it in 1993 to a guy who was making a dune buggy and he wanted the front and rear axle assemblies and the engine/transmission . There was a rumor that said the bus suspension was more robust than the Beetle suspension.
Fun fact: the tail light lenses were glass and not plastic.
Can’t wait for next video on this vw👌👌
Can't wait to see more videos of the w bus getting fixed n running
I used to drive the van version of these in the 60s, the split screen was a great characteristic of them and they were wonderful to drive and had a very distinctive sounding engine. Well done guys hope you save this, they are rare now and a beautiful sight to see on the road when you do see them.
Awesome video, can't wait for next one.
Just seconds into the video. You restore this. No words $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ God bless
I enjoy this type of videos you guys nailed it again
Oh yes, that's right. I had forgotten my window bus there. Thanks for finding him. When can I pick him up? Can be quiet after the restoration...

Great find guy's. You should not have a problem getting a Engine. You get her all gussied up she be a peeing away. God Bless you guy's love all you do!!! Jim from Connecticut
this was so short... but really enjoy !
Great save on the VW. I would like to see you get that Oldsmobile or Buick also, whichever it was.
Great movie guys. Love the old pontiac
Wow you definitely found the needle in a haystack. I had a 1966 Vw bug in the early 90’s. As a teenager it had a stinger exaust. I got pulled over by the cops for noise pollution. Swaped it out to single exaust system. I have a soft spot for those Older Volkswagen . Greetings from San Diego.
I vote for keeping it a fifteen window bus! For a while I couldn't think how 23 windows were put in these. Then I remembered the little windows above the regular ones. My bet is that 15 window busses are more rare than 23 ones as another commenter said.
Best is to restore it to original and thus keep the 15 windows. At least here in Western Europe, we like it to be original. My father had a 1974 VW camper van with the original camper interior. I drove it too, on several trips to Italy, and i liked the acceleration in the first and second gear.
Great Find! Looking forward to see u guys bring it back to life. 👍😎
Great find Gentlemen, a wee gem. You'll have her looking magnificent. All the best.
What an amazing find, I'm looking forward to watching you guys bring this old mini van back to life 🏴
You guys are a great team
Lord place Your joy over as they go in and out of all these situations
Can't wait to see what you guys do with it
Nice video🔥🔥
I left my VW bus along the side of the road back in 1969. Same corner windows and interior aluminum rods to hold the curtains against the windows. If it's still there; you can have it! Only 240 miles this side of Whitehorse on the ALCAN Highway.
Cool old bus, you guys need to get this back on the road. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
Great video. That old Buick back in the woods there. That would be a great one to rescue . Loved loved those old straight eights .
I can't wait to see the direction this rig will go
Watched this last night. Excellent video ! Wonder if more parts are in that gully? I agree with Peter Y, think about the change. Good Job pb
Another great find guys.cant wait to see you work your magic on this beautiful bus.take care and god bless you all.🙏 John from England.
Would so love to own this when it's finished. I'm still working on getting my driver's license, and this would be the best starter vehicle for me.
My father bought a new one in about 1964 when I was 1 year old! Will watch the restoration with great interest. Brilliant you have the skills and enthusiasm needed!
Easiest pull out of the woods, but the hardest will it start. lol.
That bus looks like it has plenty of potential. Well done.
THAT DUDE HAS A DEEP RADIO VOICE....
Always thought the 23 window was the Holy Grail but they seem more common than the 15. Looks rough but has structure so very much restorable.
Love love love your video 📹 ❤ absolutely amazing job 👏 ❤
Can't wait for you to restore this VW Kombi to its authentic self. Please keep it true to form.
That old Chevy is cool. That’s one I’d love to have. What a great body style.
I actually met a guy that rebuilt cars. He was virtually replacing every bit of sheet metal on a similar VW bus and a 1968 HK Holden Monaro. He was making every panel on each vehicle and with the Monaro he had to remake all the subframes as well.
Loved seeing the tree frog clinging and climbing up the drivers side window while the bus was being trailered!
👍👌👏 Very well done! I'm really glad to see some people doing a kind of "professional" rescue job and loading. Not like the guys with big forklifts damaging a lot. Or even try to drag the old vehicles out without shoveling and freeing the brakes etc.. Maybe you should've taken the big steel pipes and I- beams too (in Germany we call them double T beams). Steel/metal prices are still going up and those pieces may come in handy some day.
Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and health to all of you.
"At least the ground ain't to hard" As he hits a huge hard spot. LOL, Can't wait to see what you you do with it.
Yeah....this one was worth saving.
Great work!
Very good, this has been one of your easiest given some of your other rescues, I hope you guys are able to get this one going, she's a beaut.
It's good to See y'all again I love your show. I live near Dallas Texas it's terribly 🔥 hot for weeks now.. so watching your show makes everything better.. thank you. A Fan
Sweet it’s popcorn 🍿 time!!!
This show is the best. Your content is that of a real tv show. Thanks for that and keep it up.
Another great live video. Can’t wait to see what you guys do with it. Love you guys.
God Bless.
would love to restore one of these
add a transfer case, some lockers and go and stay anywhere
Oh my god, you find Gold 🥇🥇again in the woods. First the BMW Isetta and now the VW Bus with the split window which is really, really hard to find. Think you have right now all the luck in the world. 😁😁😁👍👍👍Greetings from Germany. 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪
Looking forward to y'all fixing it up!
Such a find 🤯but man, she is rough. I hope you guys can save it,👍🏻
You must have some Great connections to find all these Treasures.
Name for VW BUS is TOAD BUS.😊 Great job in that Texas heat of prep and load. Keep up the good work. God Bless You and Family. Trucker Ray. ✝️
Froggy looks pretty rusty. But I'll bet you all can bring it back around!
62 or 63. Great find
Enjoyed the picture show 😀
Marcijune on you tube has a split window bus she has a unique setup as to be able to turn the bus upside down and on its side I believe she used large cable spools to make it welding and cutting as needed she is able to get to whatever is needed for repairs to frame
Very interesting video…
Oh I wish I could find one I could afford. The prices are crazy out here. Good find. I'm sure you can do something with that. The Patina is amazing right?
This is going to be a great one 😁😁😁😁👍👍👍
