    DISCLAIMER:
    HID and LEDs both are excellent for clear path of driving and regular use. I am a huge fan of LEDs which is why I personally prefer LEDs over OEM HID/ballasts.
    Please follow your state laws before any LED conversion. My province allows 70W LED bulbs, which is why I was able to upgrade mine ⭐️

    I love these lights. I replaced my foglight bulbs on all my cars and thanks to this video I'll be changing out the headlight bulb in the IS also. haha! I steered away from changing before because I was told at an autoshop that I would need to also buy a converter to convert from HID to LED.

      @@buildfixcars Maybe Lexus solved this problem years ago, or you have upgraded somehow. But as Tesla, BMW, Jaguar etc. Have this problem on 2024 cars with the latest sensing technology, you could make a lot of money selling this technology to them.

      I am an old school mostly but these LEDs are way better and cost effective than OEM HIDs with ballasts.. not to mention how expensive those ballasts and HIDs are.

    in my experience going from HID to LED is a downgrade. LED just doesnt produce the brightness.

      Led sucks, what he should have done is to replace with a new set of brand new koito or philips d2s bulbs.

    • @hamza3p342
      @hamza3p342 3 місяці тому

      You are right. After market HId will be better than after market LED’s. I’ve tried the best aftermarket led bulbs made by Philips and I’m still not satisfied. The thing with newer cars using LEDs. They use a design that contains lots and lots of LED diodes so they produce a lot of light. Whereas aftermarket LED bulbs tend to have 4 LED chips which won’t give you that brightness

      @@hamza3p342 I agree. The aftermarket hid game is extremely difficult as they all lie about their output. Have you found a good brand that you're sticking with yet?

  • @benwinters7147
    @benwinters7147 3 місяці тому +1

    isn't it a vehicle defect to change the nature of the headlamp bulbs? legally you can only upgrade with the same type , also FYI HID's are way better than led, if yours weren't then your hid bulbs or ballast wasn't working properly.

    • @buildfixcars
      @buildfixcars  3 місяці тому

      Thats a brilliant question actually. My province allows an LED bulb if its upto 70Watts, and luckily these ones are so I’m all good. I am a huge fan of HIDs too, been using all my life with the ballasts and everything. But I like these LEDs, a good change.
