Just installed LASFIT LAplusD2 bulbs in a 2010 IS250 Convertible . (The original bulb was an HID D4S bulb. )They come with a pigtail so if you have to replace them you do not have to pull the head lights off (or the Bumper) They are very bright , I spun the bulb so the beam was up and down not side to side seemed like a better light beam . the pins on the Lasfit bulb connectors were long and went right into the original ballast connector. I taped them up really good to make sure they would not come out. Also the ballast plug for the original bulb is bulky and could bounce around. So I didn't want it to bounce around so I used the foam the led bulbs came in and secured them with the foam out of the way.
any problems with beam pattern or brightness after you installed? I installed a similar LED bulb in my IS250 headlights, everyone was telling me to position the beam side to side but the beam looks horrible and narrow, maybe adjusting it to up and down like you said might fix my problem
@@4859carcar We made ours go up and down beam I once the are in the head light it is hard to adjust so we turned them both ways sideways and up and down the up and down sea med to be the better beak
Hi man, I’ve been searching for good explanations for replacing hid to led and you are probably the best, i just want to confirm that if i pass by ballast it may throw an error and AFS won’t work in this case. I have aurion2009 similar to Lexus
Eventually I did the upgrade myself, I have aurion2009 similar to lexus on your video, my heart was racing until I turn on my car and the LED works perfectly!!! Yet there is no errors like afs or anything on dashboard! No mechanic was interested for this work !! It took me about 5 hours and I really appreciate your knowledge and precise explanation ❤
You're welcome, I think you need to add resistors to retain the AFS, the LEDs draw way less current and the car thinks the headlights are off/dead. I removed the fuse for the system
When you bypass the ballast does the auto leveling set a code and give a warning on the dash? Also, do these bulbs come with the harness that has the power and ground leads? Thanks. Great job on the video.
So the Depot headlight doesn’t have an awful ballast? It comes with H11 bulbs or the LED bulbs? What is a H11 bulb? And will and LED bulb short out by dirt and deposits flying in from hairline cracks on Lens if I choose to wire an LED conversion kit?
I have a 2007 ES350. The low beams have HID bulbs inside a rotating lamp (cornering). I don't have $1000 to spend on new assemblies. What options do I have?
Hey quick question, my 2007 is250 ballast is burnt out too. I bought the Bulbs in your description 👍🏻. Do I have to remove the whole light assembly to get accession the ballast power wires for the new led lit ?
these are the exact bulbs I used, and they are OK. They have spade connectors on them which allow you to bypass the ballast amzn.to/48htLDm These are a newer LEDs bulb which look like they plug into the HID ballast connector if you dont want to eliminate it. But im sure you could cut the connector off and still by pass the ballast if you wanted to like i did amzn.to/41MTS2P
S is for projectors, R is for reflectors. D2 runs at higher voltage, D4 runs at lower voltage and does not contain mercury. So while a D4S bulb will fit in a D2S headlight, they are not electrically compatible due to the lower voltage of D4S.
Hey Freddy, after purchasing these lights I cannot get the DRL or high beams to work. I have it connected to the battery. What am I missing and how can I test the harness fuse? Any ideas? Wiring is not my strong suit.
@@PoorManMods Yeah, that's pretty much the video I was referencing. I should have been clearer. What is the instrument you used to provide power to test the high beams? I'm thinking of taking everything apart and re-installing again.
You do realize the reason why your headlights keep killing the ballasts is because you are getting water in the headlight. It’s a well known problem with just about every second Gen Lexus IS 2006-2013. The most common leak comes from the upper tab, it cracks and then water gets in to your headlight and the ballast sits on the bottom so it gets ruined.
2 questions:
What brand led lights would fit.
What type of harness is that.
Thank you for this video, I'm looking into doing this for my GS 350.
Wow you've really upgraded from b15 to beast. Proud of you 👍😁
Thank you!! The b15 was a good stepping stone
@@PoorManMods I hope you get another one
Will you be posting a video of what the bulbs look like after. I am just curious what it would look like

Can you post link to correct fitting led bulbs?
Looks like the Depo headlights are out of stock, (stuck on a cargo ship) lol, Which other led headlight kit would you recommend? : 2007 Lexus is250
Darnnn, you could try Vlands
Do those bulbs fit with the oem cover, i mean it can be close easily ???
I had the same issue with my wife’s car and bought some new aftermarket LED headlights. Do I need a wiring harness adapter/conversion kit?
Thank you so much for the vid.
I do wonder if this will preserve the AFS.
You're welcome, I think you need to add resistors to retain the AFS, the LEDs draw way less current and the car thinks the headlights are off/dead. I removed the fuse for the system
Hi, im having the exact issue with the ballast. Could you please tell me the part number for these bulbs? The amazon link expired you have listed
Following
Can I cut the wires on the OEM plug and wire them the the new led bulb without pulling everything apart ?
nope you need to remove the head light to remove the ballast and cut the wires to the ballast
When you bypass the ballast does the auto leveling set a code and give a warning on the dash? Also, do these bulbs come with the harness that has the power and ground leads? Thanks. Great job on the video.
I heard that you have to remove the fuse for that under the dash so it dows not throw a code
@@Daniel-gi1cy I guess we will find out soon. I ordered a set. Will post a video to my channel on installation.
Hello brother can tell me about isf250 2014 first both light are working After 5_6 second light shut down anad first one too less then usely
Have video before in night?

Unique style racing’s website says the low beam is an h7, but you said h11 like the OE halogen from lexus. Can you confirm?
I definitely installed h11 bulbs in the video
@@PoorManMods ok thank you!
So I installed them and connected everything but the Daytime running light isn’t strong
Its not very bright

hi thanks for video, i have lexus is 220d year 2006 and xenon lights. will this headlight work on my IS? thanks
It should
Did you do a video with Marty Motoring on installing Vland headlights on the Lexus Is? I can’t find it but I swear i seen it ages ago
Yeah the video is on his channel

yes unfortunately the bumper then the headlight have to come off

Looks like neither link works.
Do you have a link of current bulb that will work?
Thanks
Do you know if the led bulbs will fit a 2010 es 350. Also, the link to the bulbs doesnt look like the ones you have in the video
You’d be better off just upgrading the whole headlight housing brother
Hello, What is the difference between D2S D2R vs D4S D4R? I have a 2007 Lexus IS250, which one should I order for low beam headlights? Thanks

Will this bypass method work for 2006 Lexus GS300? I Fuggin hate this HID Ballast BS 😡 😤
I cant say for sure since i never opened that car up, but i would imagine it would be extremely similar.

The water is going to kill the LED light as well eventually
