My last therapist couldn't understand why I couldn't talk about an event that happened recently. Thank you for explaining why.

Just that I couldn't talk about it yet and I needed to go at my pace not with what he wanted.

Please make more videos. You're literally better than ANY therapist or psychologist I've ever listened to.

I really enjoy your videos, Mark. Your voice would be up there as a.s.m.r. standard - sooo relaxing I often have to play your videos two or three times, as I keep falling asleep. So when I can't sleep I put on a video I have already heard. You are very listenable, credible and your pace of speech is so measured and calm. It is great too the way you never um or ah. Plus your accent - and you never talk over our heads. I struggle with depression and anxiety and even pursued a counselling course to try and get a better understanding of my problems - so much for that. It feels like I've been on the receiving end of every kind of abuse you can imagine and some you just couldn't. Your videos are very valuable and supportive for me. Thank you so much.

I am a registered psychologist and clinical hypnotherapist, and I would like to just say, this is really a beautiful, concise and well-documented presentation. Also your voice is so calming.

One of the predominant messages I got from this really helpful information is that I must be weak for being one of the 25%. (Which I realize is not at all the message of the video)

So, I was wondering what if a person doesn't remember a lot of the trauma, but the sibling remembers things that happened to the person, so they at least know it happened.. but the person still experiences triggers, has some resurfacing memories and has like symptoms of dissociation and depression? I guess I can't remember a lot of what happened in a narcissistic abuse situation growing up. But I still get triggered I think but I can't put a memory on it. It's frustrating

What if you think you have trauma but can’t remember what it was? I don’t like opening up and sharing myself with nobody else but my mom and my mom only. Literally the only one in the world I feel best with

I'd like to know if my young son has developed emetophobia due to being traumatized (by a vomiting bug several months before onset of his panic attacks). Does he need to be detraumatized?

    • @halfmoonyogi4997

I also have struggled with emetophobia for what feels like my whole life. I wish my parents had taken me to get help, and I resent them for not doing so. So follow your intuition and take him to a therapist, whether it is emetophobia or not.

4:55 This isn't true for everyone!
I've had Clinicians ignore my descriptions and explanations and it feels insulting. Like they don't care and they just wanna finish the assessment or whatever. Fuck that! I need a witness who believes me! You need to understand that we're not all the same.

Put criminals and crimal parents into prison, protect the victims and give them all practical support in life they want, give them enough money so that they can live an active and comfortable life, build unconditious bridges so that they can experience love in their life, help them find a partner, who is able to listen and unverstand, believe me that's so mach more helpful than anything else of the shit that is provided out there...
