I never use leftover corn beef for this recipe. I like it so much I open a new can of corned 'dog' just to make this, then any left over I use to make sandwiches for tea with lots of strong mustard.

Slightly different to the corned 'dog ' and cabbage recipe you did in 2013. Both are good. I'm also inclined to add a dash of tomato ketchup to my version.

It's what we always called it in the navy. Just never got out of the habit of calling it that when I came shoreside, also still refer to decks, bulkheads etc etc.
