Love this dish and would add potatoes if I am keeping it vegetarian. Other times, ground beef or Italian sausages. I went to Montrose Vidic even though we were RC so I am well versed in the holidays and celebrations. Still know more prayers in Hindi than Catholic.

Hi Chris in Trinidad when it’s Diwali it’s so much to cook and make you don’t know what to eat I made curry cabbage yesterday with dhal and rice to all my Hindu brothers and sisters happy Diwali to everyone .
now I'm craving dhal.

What I would like to know is, who makes that beautiful enameled cookware you are using! I assume it's cast iron underneath the enamel.
When our civilization falls, and the archaeologists of the future are excavating the remains, that cookware will be found, and with a bit of a clean, will still be serviceable.:)
