Cabbage is one of my favorite green leafy 🍃 vegetables 😋. I love it served like this, as cole slaw, or steamed to perfection. You can pair it with Bar-B-Q, baked or fried chicken, roast, or a stand-alone one pot wonder with a slice of cornbread!! O soo versatile and delicious when properly prepared. You must be careful not to over cook it. I prefer it tender, but not mushy and brown. Mr Make it Happen has done it again!! 👏 👏 👏
I make this about every 2wks. With and w/o the sausage. Top with some sautéed shrimp, rotisserie chicken, steak, whatever is in the frig. Even with the sausage, I'll add 🍤! 😋 Thanks for the tip on adding the better than bullion roasted garlic, got some, and the W sauce. Level up!
One pot meal, cheap and really healthy for you. Fried cabbage or cabbage soup are some of my favorite dishes. I like the addition of the smoked garlic in there, nice touch👌
I enjoyed this recipe. Only thing I did different is I added some Yukon Gold potatoes. I pre boiled potatoes in chicken broth for about 7 mins Will make often! I also used smoked pork sausage and Napa cabbage because that was what I had in fridge.

Nope. This ain't it. All you need is cabbage, fat back grease, stock, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper and some corn bread. I'll say it again, NOPE. This is not southern fried cabbage.
Looks good. A southern dish that I grew up eating and making. Of course PORK 🐖 was always used in some form. I am not mad at ya as it is always good to switch it up, if you are able. I don't add the peppers, we use cajun seasoning, and at the end a dash of AC vinegar. Served with hot sauce and chow.

@@MrMakeItHappen well this is absolutely depressing news lol. I follow so many bbq guys it's by far my favorite food. Unfortunately here in Detroit we don't have the best bbq, it's few and far between so if I want good ribs or brisket I typically have do it my self and I'm always learning!
