I think a semi fair way to handle skills Is to randomize a skill point budget in each of the 5 sections. That way there's still randomness involved but you get to pick the skills
Well that is a good point, preventing RNGesus from choosing your abilities would be an insult to the lord.
Only let it randomize perks that effect all
types of weapon/equipment/etc.
But the thing about the challenge is that it bot fair at all

I guess this shows, above all else, that Payday 2 is a hard and mechanically complex game, and the mutators are even tougher.
It also shows that your build GREATLY contributes to your success.

It also sounds like it’d be incredibly fun…and incredibly challenging. Bonus points if you forbid yourself from using the Yakuza speed boost…though really, it might not be doable without it.

At 16:04 you could've dominated the guard instead of killing him which wouldn't activate the Hydra mutator which would've prevented the heist from going loud.

I'm pretty sure there's a time window to dominate a guard in stealth but it's only like 2 secs, so by the time he got to him the window was long from over.

Would love to see a sequel video to this. Its satisfying seeing a speedrunner cope against randomized odds and in case of Payday impact of the randomization is uniquely huge

It's actually pretty nice to see a stealth heist going loud is no problem. Now it's one or the other, because of the build. Would be something nice for Payday 3 to stealth the heist and when things go loud that you can still finish it with a loud build.
Might be cool to have a deployable that switches you to a set loadout, although not really feasible in the way payday 2 works

No, you didn't overestimate the power of rogue, shields are just pure bullshit and i'm pretty sure they can bypass rogue's effects, because they hit way too much than they're supposed to

I got an idea for a challenge: Payday 2 campaign as a Bulldozer. This would mean using only muscle perk deck, and only the weapons that a bulldozer can use, as well as ICTV as soon as possible. It may seem easy, but stealth levels will be a pain. Access to the renfield means shotgun launching, though...
Also, do you think Payday 3 will be on ps4? I think so.
IIRC, someone from OVK did mention that, with the switch to Unreal Engine, console ports will be much easier and doable than with Diesel. And since there are games still releasing on PS4 currently, if it shows in 5, it should show on 4 as well.

Id love to see how far you could take a crime spree with this randomization. Early on it’d be fun and easy, but I can imagine how it could become bad quick. Obviously only build, load out, perk deck and the heist could be randomized (rolling a number between 1 and 3 for the heist offers.).

Here's an idea for another challenge: You can only use weapons with finite ammo, as in ones that can only be replenished by ammo bag. This includes throwables, you have to use ones that can't be recovered. Melee should be a last resort or to maintain stealth when absolutely necessary, the build cannot be focused on it.

13:48 I am pretty sure its because of the drill. Whenever i go down while fixing the drill i just know, no AI will even try to revive me. Must be an issue with the waypoints or something.

What about a Random Day of the Week where you try to complete a heist with those settings but you only have 3 tries per day/week?
reasons the civ wasnt detected on black cat: detection is only in the head, meaning if an ai cannot see anothers head then well absolutely nothing there lifes fine and dandy
the receptionists head had clipped thru the desk luckily and the guards dont have esp wall hacks so there was no body to be detected XD

Maniac is amaizing, pair it with Frenzy aced, underdog aced and bulseye aced, put on ICTV and wreck havoc as an unstoppable block of tungsten

I don't think I've ever actually had the AI come get me on Hox Breakout day 1, unless they were already on top of me. Not really sure why it happens but it gets annoying.
You should make this a series of randomised builds! It'd be a great way to do some filler content and I loved it

The reason the sausage that you got at 28:50 didn’t get sound was kiss detection in the head, so they couldn’t see the head of the character model of the civilian

Ah randomisers. What a love hate relationship you can have with them. The random skill point allocation reminded me of a comment I made a while back on one of your previous challenge videos, perhaps if you’d like to explore the idea of somewhat random point allocation for a future challenge.
My idea is this: You can use any weapons you like, but your point allocation will be restricted. You'd still be able to use the amount of skill points available to you at any specific level, but that amount is divided randomly into 5 numbers every 5 levels ups. the 5 numbers is how many points you can allocate to a certain tree. Eg: you have 40 skill points available, randomly divided into 13, 7, 8 ,6 and 6. until you rank up to the next level divisible by 5 (Lvl 30, 35 etc) this is your point allocation for your 5 skill trees. This could force certain strategies while also limiting crutch gameplay styles. The difficulty level may have to be adjusted, or having the availability of full perk decks, but this could be an interesting way to make builds for varying heists.

bad painday idea:
your perk deck and weapons, as well as the heists played and the throwable (if the perk deck doesn't use it), will be completely randomized; but you can choose your weapon's attachments, the skills, armor and, most important, the heister.
no way we're going through all that pain with rust's voice lines on top of all that, i'd tear a hole in my computer monitor

Would highly reccomend the better bots mod and tone down the damage they deal if you ever play with them again. Also don't know if this is a mod thing or not, but pressing f / shouting at the ai while you are down will have them run over to revive you immediately

I decided to give this a go, I'm kind of disappointed I spent like 3 hours organizing my inventory, buying 1 of every gun and modding it, and only for when the swap happens, I get none of my modded guns, I just get vanilla ones.
