Rest in Peace John Wysocki. This band within the last six months has really resonated with me and it's so sad to see one of the founding members die at such a young age. I keep coming back to this live set over any other band's live set ever. Wysocki's style was bone-chilling, while it wasn't super complicated or intense, John's taken simpler drum riffs and fills and turned them into something else. Hopefully someone else can help me describe it

I think Aaron is crying while singing outside, there songs are so deep and heavy. unlike music today talking all about having fun and a good time. Staind actually puts time and effort into there lyrics.

Llama Face76 You’re goddamn right about that. Outside is a big heavy-hitter for me. A lot of songs of 14 SOG are extremely personal to Aaron, hence why I think most of them are rarely performed live.
I surely hope to see the boys gives us another album.

@@Divine_Serpent_Geh Outside is from Break the Cycle. And I saw their tours for Dysfunction, Break the Cycle, 14 Shades of Grey, and Chapter V and I definitely remember them playing plenty of songs off 14 Shades. I remember that concert specifically cuz I caught one of Mike’s picks at the end and they opened with Intro, which I was totally expecting even though it’s the last song on the album.

Aaron Lewis's vocals in this set have arguably never been surpassed at least by any of the live sets that they recorded. His vocal endurance and range were just fucking outstanding. The astonishing thing is he still sings c.2019 close to or at the same level while puffing on and inhaling the fumes of a combustible object. At the same time the band is definitely missing the powerful snare of Wysocki's drumming though. He just gave their music is an underlying momentum and deep pulsating energy that it is just completely absent now. The current drummer's great but I don't know whether its his snare tuning, or kit or just physical strength but it seems like an intangible component of their sound is missing.

Jon’s drumming on Break the Cycle and 14 Shades made me want to pick up the sticks. The grooves are precise and tasteful and fit the rest of the band’s performance like a glove. New drummer is still very good, but in my personal opinion he can’t replicate the lightning in a bottle that was their first 3 records

Masterful. Articulate. Humble. Talented. The band and aaron are so very underappreciated even by their fans. With songs that describe life so well. Songs so close to the issues we all face it hurts. I see a very introspective singer that has matured into the songwriter of our generation. Aaron is a more classic dylan songwriter than bob. We love you and may God bless you Aaron Lewis. And thank you for sharing the band's music with your fans everywhere....and the technicians that made it possible for us to see this. I was lucky enough to see them in tampa and aaron was kind enough to set in with linkin park.

I always felt the vision/production/mix of Break The Cycle was poorly executed. The drums - snare in particular- were neutered, papery, and flat; the mix as a whole lacked definition, and some of the performances were lacking energy. This show proves it. The songs are exactly the same but with more buoyancy. The material wasn’t the problem!

Haydn Wilson I don't think there's an HD version of this. This was before that existed, but it sounds pretty good.

JRC99 I don’t think that is accurate. I’d imagine his well documented appreciation for Layne Staley and a lot of his lyrics could lead someone to believe that, so not going to call them a dumbass.
When talking about Layne he stated he felt a connection to Layne, although he had never used heroin. Lots of things to be addicted to, pretty sure alcohol and cocaine were in the mix, but only he knows.

@@kevincoady5248 Pressure references Valium, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was addicted to that.
Here's the weird thing. Self Destruct and 4 walls from Tormented both have lines about needles and veins, but only those two. Not a single mention of it before or after.
