38:43 “We’re heading toward a self-proclaimed environment of injustice, disease and death. Be aware.” - Serj Tankian
With everything going on in 2020, that really spoke to me when he said that. This band could write an entire album about 2020. It’s too bad they can’t settle their differences.

First time to ever give SOAD a chance, except for hearing Chop Suey in the past & thinking it's an OK song. I'm mostly into 80s hardcore & thrash, but this band kills it. I'm absolutely blown away. Vocalist reminds me of a hardcore Freddy Mercury & sounds like someone I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe the singer for Crucifucks? He's very entertaining to watch, and very good at his craft.

14:43 Serj¨s scream always suprices me here, not that they don¨t usally mix it up live. But i always am caught of guard from that particular moment of needles in this live verson. So fucking raw, and a good example of his controll in energy.
He suddenly goes beyond what to normally expect.. I knew he was gonna cream hard, but he put that note higher than what he build it up to be. Amazing artist and person. Just sad to see noobs complaining about his voice not being the same today as before..
no shit...Who can keep up that same energy forever right? As the passionate and progressive person he is.
He might and probaly where more into it back then than now.
Not saying he doesn¨t feel it more, but we all should just be happy that they even came back in 2011 and that they stil are performing for us until this date..
And they even put out 2 new songs, which even i doubted would ever come out, same as everyone doubted..
I tought id never see even see Soad live, ever...I tought i was just born abit too late to catch them live, but i tought i was lucky enough to even have the oppertunity to listen toy all of their songs, while i was 8 years old in 2005 suz of my brother.
Even tho i got to enjoi them at early age, i kind of forgot about them until later age.
I remember i was singing ¨when angels deserves to die¨. While my good friends from childhood said, wtf are you singing man, as i didn¨t really remember where i got those lyrics from..^^
Kind of funny, weird lyrics at the time( As i just had a vague memory of their lyrics) even i didn¨t know where i got that line from haha.
But luckliy after some months after i sang that line of the song, barlely even remembering the lyrics. (mostly only remembered the melody)
I was lucky enought that my childhood friend found byob around age 12 in 2009 while we where practicing guitar.
I then realised some months later after my friend found byob. That those guys where the same people responsible for when angels deserve to die :PP
Long story long lol.. Soad in my heart, and i got too see them in sweden 2017 even tho i waited for them to come to norway where i was born, after they reunited in 2011. But I got to fuckings see them live, and was amazed. They are brilliant, just sad to see people even whining about uhuh his voice ain¨t the same blablabla, toughless and lack of respect if you ask me..
If anyone even bothered to read this random pulse of the love i have for soad, thanks for even bothering to read ^^ :) Soad is the reason why i probaly am who i am today. Bless them and their people in armenia going through hard times, when they blessed many of us through our own hard times.
    Thats all! finaly finished :)
Daymn tho...Note to my self, chill out man...

I just saw them a month ago and they were so awesome! The show was pushed back twice, once for Covid protocols, and then because Serg got Covid, but it was worth the wait. They were supposed to play with Faith No More but Mike Patton cancelled and we were stuck with three other band, one we missed all together, one that was ok, and one that we hated and went to eat while they played. I'm 42 and have been listening since the beginning.

I saw them a month ago in L.A. they were great, the only band in the line-up worth seeing after Faith No More dropped out. What wasn't great is that instead of regular security that actually does things like breaks up fights and keeps assholes out of the aisles and stairways, they had cops, with guns, who did jack shit about anything. The whole show was a huge fire hazard, you couldn't get up the stairs to go anywhere because people left the seats they bought and just went to the lowest place they could get in the stairs and aisles. It was kind of a shit show.
