Been listening to Staind since the 90's. Its so crazy how a person can smoke cigarettes for so many years and still sound amazing and have that much lung capacity to belt out those notes and make it through a concert. Just crazy.
He CHAIN smokes too. I smoked for 3 years and vaped for 10 years and then quit but that was all it took to damn near lose my falsetto (it’s back but very weak and breathy with poor control) you can hear his falsetto is still decent but not perfect on “right here”
Aaron sounded amazing at Rockville except for the end of “Outside” . The fans killed the last verse right to the end. So awesome to see so many people in one place enjoying rock music and getting along together like the family we most are part of the rock music family!
nobody has made it look easier than Aaron Lewis, leisurely strolling the stage and belting those vocals takes talent that few possess. Chester, C Cornell, Taylor, Draiman, and Gontier have fantastic vocals but nobody makes it look easier than the man/myth/legend Mr Aaron Lewis! I cannot wait to see you at Mystic in Mpls!!
Well I believe one of his, Taylor, Chester n Gontier biggest influences was Layne Staley n it doesn’t get more powerful and effortless than that guy. Dude sat on stools, leaned on mic stands and still blew the roof off! Aaron Lewis def Rocks!
You have problems if you are comparing this man to Chris Cornell??? Are you crazy?? Lewis is great sure but on the same level as CHRIS CORNELL??? please stop.
@@rybo9383 Cornell is top 3, but I would put Aaron Lewis top 10. Especially with how he sounds now. Its insane what he does to his vocal chords and still sound this good.
The last time I saw Staind I was right in the front. When they played Crawl. I said out loud in the count of 5 “ everything falls apart “. Aaron heard me and started laughing. He looked at me and he did his scream thing but laughed during it. It’s a moment I will always treasure. Also, watching this makes me feel old but at the same let’s me realize I had a good youth. I’ve seen this guys soooo many times! The fact that Aaron sounds this good still blows my mind.
This was a phenomenal set, So glad Staind is back, and they are as heavy as gritty as ever. The last album from 2011 reflects that too, but just so happy that they're back and starting right where they left off.
Mike Mushok had the energy level cranked to 11 the entire show. So happy to see Aaron come back to where it all began. Hope to see it live for myself. Amazing set all around.
During Open Your Eyes (and all subsequent Dysfunction/Break the Cycle songs they played), it hit me that songs and lyrics that artists like Staind have put out 20+ years ago are STILL relevant to this day. Not gonna find lyrics like that in today's popular dumpster fire that hip-hop and rap has become. All hail rock/grunge/metal!
Yes absolutely agree with that, I truly believe it was the best festival I have ever been part of in my many years of attending and working live outdoor music
Live from grunspan germany 2001 floats on every track in front of my eyes .... as if these 20 years hadn't happened! You can see how the guys get high on stage from what they themselves are doing. God bless you, Aaron, Mike, Johnny ...
Aaron is still my absolute number 1 artist. And Mike is freaking incredible! In Right Here, he just looked like he goes “well I’m f*cking insanely amazing at playing 1 guitar, so I’ll play you 2” 😂. I will always love Staind!
love that they're still kicking Crawl live. the last and only time I've seen them live, back in 2014, they played it halfway through and made my year. it was such a great performance too
Аарон Льюис, у тебя образ простого, мужика, а не рок звезды. За это тебя любят в России. Здесь все любят простых мужиков. В твоей группе нам нравятся все) вы все крутые парни!
This festival took top place of my 30 plus years of working on or just attending since the late 60’s . Absolutely surreal and Aaron took my second first place. Outside was eepuc

Mike Mushok is the most underrated guitarist around.
Bro big facts I'm 23 years old and I always felt like mushok was underated. Seen him live with saint asonia still has the same energy to this day
@@trepriester2394 also 23, been playing music since I was 9, mike is undeniably underrated. Has major chops.
