I think you should make a video about if fallout 76 had workshops like fallout 4, what would 5 (maybe more or less) good settlement locations be. if you are gonna do this you should do it soon because there is currently an event happening that lets you build *almost* anywhere. (You can't scrap anything tho and the building finiky. I built something under a catwalk and it appeared on top of the catwalk after I placed it.) I have a couple. 1. Overseers camp/Wayward exterior Pretty much all the workbenches are present. A lot of open space, but not that flat. There is a lot of trees and other stuff to scrap for resources. Could be used as a tutorial for settlement building as you go here immdiatly after exiting Vault 76. 2. Gilman Lumber Mill The main building is mostly destroyed, but if the major rubble piles and obstacles were scrap able, then the building could be remade into a new building or some outdoor thing. There is a much more intact building on the edge of the place, which could be ideal if not wanting to build a new building. If you do, then there is a (not that big) open area next to the buildings. There are also some places to build wood extractors in the area (i think) to collect wood. 3. Site Charlie Exterior (Technically it's the R & G Processing Services lower building) The main building is pretty much entirely intact. It is very cluttered, but could be very useful if most of the clutter was scrappable. The parking lot is on a slope and has a a shed in the middle, but with the ability of scrapping the shed and large truck, a building on a foundation could be created. There is a small but flat truck docking area in the back, but (I think) it’s better as like a workshop or something. There is some open areas behind the site and could be used. There is a building on top of the cliff next to site charlie, but I think it’s an entirely different location and I haven’t been there so I don’t know. Probably not important but site charlie is one of 3 active middle silos in Fallout 76. 4. South Mountain lookout Unique building in the settlement: Watch tower thing. There is a lot of open space around the tower, but it is very sloped. There is a bathroom shed on the side with a damaged wall. With a couple foundations and smart placing of things in the tower, it could be a pretty good settlement. 5. Morgantown Airport Runway It's a runway. A large open space with some tent/hanger things on the sides. The main airport building would not be part of the settlement as it is a interior cell. 6. Charleston Capitol Building Courtyard It's actually a horrible location. Charleston was completly destroyed in The Christmas Flood of 2087. There's rubble everywhere and almost none of the terrain is flat. I say this place because it could be a good place for lore reasons. A mission to claim the courtyard, scrap the rubble, and rebuild some homes could be pretty cool. 7. Vault 94 Exterior Open bumpy open area. There's a bus, a small farm, an outhouse, some shipping containers, the enterance, the vault hut stand thing, and a bit of scrap. I think it could be a cool place to set up a small farm and a couple homes. 8. Bastion Park It's a children's park. Pretty flat area but with a bunch of structures. If the structures were scrappable, then they area would probably be very good. Plenty of ground for farms and water pumps. It is somewhat split into two flatish areas. I do believe that it is on the edge of a cliff, but none of the pictures on the independent wiki show if it is and I haven't been there in game yet. 9. Appalachian Antiques Just outside of the heckhole that is Watoga. The roof has a preety big hole in it and some of the walls are pretty damaged, but the building is still standing. The area is flatish and there it is ideal for new structures (I think). It could be quite dangerous setting up a settlement here as Watoga and the very hostile robots in Watoga are 3 stones away. 10. NAR repair yard Small area on the tracks at a switching station just down the tracks from Watoga Station. It's open and flat, only having the switching station, a small hanger thing, and a completly destroyed house a stones throw dowm the tracks. 11. Fort Defiance/Allegheny Asylum Courtyard It's large and open. There are many Brotherhood defenses in the middle by the enterance, but they would not be a problem if scrappable. Among the defenses is a large surface to air missile, which could be cool to have an option to repair and be able to shoot against scorchbeasts and other enemies. Similarly to what I said about the Charleston Capitol Building Courtyard, could be a mission to take back Fort Defiance for the BOS.
so i have a video idea if there was a settlement system(FO4) for fallout 3 or new vegas what places would be buildable settlements and you should make a discord

You've done a great job on your video on the topic talking about just this, but... the thing that _Nuka World_ impressed upon me is that I was _de facto_ playing my character as a violent, power-hungry psychopath intent on conquest... and it still made more sense to go with the Minutemen / Institute combo than to build a raider empire with _Nuka World._ However, I'll find this video useful if I build a new play-through around the goal, because it seems like a raider empire would best be achieved by that.
God but the _Prydwen_ would be such a prize for a raider crew. Same for the Institute, now you can print serfs. Too bad Bethesda doesn't believe in anything like long-term planning.
@@dividewalker5673 I don’t think raiders are sophisticated enough to maintain and operate a vehicle such as that, maybe if they had captured pilots and technicians but that is risky.
@Voltboy1449 I would agree, but they aren't just any Raiders. That one raider in survival be like: The RPG-7 is reusable single-shot smoothbore steel tube with a diameter of 40 millimeters. This recoilless, shoulder-fired, muzzle-loaded launcher can shoot a wide variety of rockets. Optical and iron sights generally come standard, although night vision sights can be used. The middle of the barrel is covered in wood to protect the operator from heat and the two handles are located close together in the center of the weapon. Another advantage of this versatile weapon is that it can fire inside buildings due to its relatively small back-blast. Nonetheless, this weapon gives off a highly noticeable flash, noise, and smoke. After 10 meters, the rocket’s internal rocket motor ignites and four stabilization fins fold out, giving the weapon a maximum muzzle velocity of 300 meters per second. Normally, the RPG-7 is operated by a gunner and an assistant who holds extra rounds and defends the gunner from attack. The RPG-7 has a maximum range of 920 meters at which point the rocket detonates. Nevertheless, it is only considered effective out to about 200 meters, at which range it is estimated to have about a 50% chance of hitting a slowly moving 5 by 2.5 meter target. During its nearly 60-year service life, the RPG-7 has been used to knock out tanks, destroy armored personnel carriers, buildings, fortifications, attack infantry, and shoot down low-flying helicopters. Furthermore the simple RPG-7 brought down more helicopters to date than most man-portable air-defense missile systems. Also, insurgents have made extensive use of “small boats” armed primarily with RPG-7s and machine guns. Oversized rockets are mounted on the very end of the launcher. Weapons of this style are sometimes called \"spigot mortars. " Rockets used include PG-7V baseline 85 mm High Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) rocket. It penetrates around 260 mm of rolled homogenous armor;
PG-7VM improved 70 mm HEAT rocket. It penetrates around 300 mm or armor. This rocket flies faster than the baseline PG-7V and is more resistant to crosswinds, hence more accurate;
PG-7VS is a 73 mm HEAT rocket. It is a further improved version of the PG-7VM with increased armor penetration. Yet it preserves weight and dimensions. It penetrates up to 400 mm of armor. This rocket was adopted in 1973 PG-7VS1 is a cheaper version of the PG-7VS. It penetrates up to 360 mm or armor. It was adopted in the mid 1970s PG-7VL is a larger 93 mm HEAT rocket. It has effective range of up to 150 m against tanks and 300 m against stationary targets. It penetrates up to 500 mm of armor;
PG-7VR is a 105 mm rocket with tandeam HEAT warhead. It has effective range of 100 m against tanks and 200 m against stationary targets. It penetrates up to 600 mm of steel armor behind ERA and 750 mm without ERA. The same warhead is used by rockets of RPG-27 single-use rocket launcher and RPG-29 reloadable rocket launcher. This rocket was adopted in the 1980s and was intended to counter latest Western main battle tanks of third generation, such as American M1 Abrams and British Challenger
