By the way, why did Saihara reveal the trick and killer instead of letting Ouma win the killing game? He clearly said that it was to beat the real mastermind after all.
Uhhh, they can use last names if they want to. I use their last names myself, since I'm used to typing that then their first names. If you like using their first names, good on you. But not everyone does, okay buddy?
Cap'nCinnamonBun I thought Monokuma would only execute everyone if he himself knew who the culprit was and guessed the right person in the Exisal. Because of the electrobomb Monokuma also didn't know whether it was Ouma or Momota who died. Ouma's goal was to purposely make it confusing to get Monokuma to announce the wrong culprit and then have Momota come out to show that Monokuma was wrong. Did Monokuma change his rules and say he would execute them either way if the survivors also guessed wrong?
XboxDazzle I'll pass on your "advice." And I'm going by how they say it in the Japanese version because it was originally meant to be that. Sorry, if you're triggered by someone not doing things like you want them to. I mean you were triggered when someone put subs in their own video saying last names with honorifics.
Carl Turallo Yes, he was going to execute them no matter what. This actually becomes important in the ending later on. You'll see if you haven't already.
This death is so sad, Kokichi is my favorite character and his plan was just to die a way Monokuma could not figure it out..His scared face almost makes me cry. OH GOD I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT.
But Saihara realized that he shouldn't have thought of that. He really is grateful for what Kokichi did. Otherwise, why would he go to his room and take his will? But yeah, it was triggering XD. At least, Saihara knew that, in the end, Ouma did help him, even in death.

Thinking about this, Shuichi kinda messes everything up. if he'd never figured out it was Kaito: 1) Kokichi's death would not be in vain. 2) the killing game would end. 3) Kaito would not be executed.
@@gubnaby The entire killing game was rigged from the start. Kokichi's entire plan came to the fact that neither Monokuma nor the mastermind could break or bend the rules. However, this was proven false the very next trial, as Monokuma was convering for the mastermind. If thr game was fair, everyone would've been axed in Trial 1. Shuichi uncovering the whole case, which may look stupid at first, may very well have been the save of the whole game. And considering that Monokuma said that all of the students were easily replaceable, just extras for his game, there was no real worry for Monokuma or the mastermind at all. People would still want more.
When Shuichi did his whole naming the blackened thing during my first playthrough. I instinctively thought Shuicui was gonna say “Kaito Momota, Luminary Of The Stars” instead of his usual naming the ultimate talent and the killers name. 😅
True, but as you said, Kaito crushing kokichi wouldn't be a kill, since kaito didn't do anything to kill kokichi, and If kokichi is dead and Kaito didn't kill him, then maki is the killer right?
And if they didn't flush Kokichi's clothes down the toilet. THEN it would've been nearly impossible to solve. Had Kokichi just worn them when he was crushed then that would be absolute whack for Shuichi and the others. I'm not saying they should've done that. The case of course needed to be solvable, but that would be a lot more logical otherwise regarding to tricking everyone including Monokuma.
I can't even begin to explain how i felt watching this..i thought Kokichi was weird at first but when i started to learn more about him, he became my favorite character. When i found out HE was the one who died, i couldn't stop screaming. He was so nice too even though he was kinda evil- Watching this made me feel sick, sad, angry, and another emotion was added from the funny comments. "Happiness". I literally couldn't stop shaking..I dont know if i should hate Maki or not. I just feel bad for Kokichi. This death was too brutal. *Thanks for reading even though i bet u didnt*
I was watching these up and down. I watched the 4th one, but then the 6th one was next on the list below the video. so I looked up the 5th one and I cried for 45 straight minutes. Now I know why UA-cam didn't put this on the video list. Kokichi is my favorite and seeing him in pain, seeing him worried ( 9:33 ) and seeing him die I just couldn't anymore
Why the hell are you guys blaming Kaito? He was perfectly following the script even after Shuichi solved the entire case, but Shuichi ruined it all with his half-assed lie at the end lmao, Kaito noticed that Monokuma wouldn't believe so he decided to confess everything, Shuichi's act could fuck everything and it was not worth trying
@@dolaranna Not really because of that.......On the part where he told his conversation with Kokichi especially his last words, he directly made everyone think that it might be a lie towards everyone, even though that the evidence is clear that Kokichi was being genuine with his words......That's my reason, and I dunno with the others... My statement above just only shows my slight annoyance when he was stopping Shuichi for lying........
@@ellagabrielle7173 he didn't "directly made everyone believe that Kokichi was lying" if that was his intention, why even quote Kokichi's confession in the first place? the only person who was convinced he was lying was Himiko, Kaito and the others were in doubt about it
Uh-huh Ok, here’s why I think Kokichi is a good person. Kokichi had the opportunity to save himself and let Kaito die with the antidote. Instead he gave it to Kaito and carried out his plan to end the killing game. This isn’t really evidence but I believe the theory about Kokichi’s personality being a lie.
@@dimas-dvdru Haha, I forgot all about this comment, but seriously ikr. My understanding of the series and it’s subtext has changed drastically throughout the years and… also I’ve finally played it myself instead of going off of the minimal information I got from character summaries and let’s plays, lol. I have come to view him with a lot of misplaced complexity. I think they could’ve handled this mystique of his motives and who he was as a person a little better as ultimately it is so vague and intentionally misleading that I can’t tell whether by the end his murder of Miu and arguably Gonta if he was truly trying to be a hero or just make a final point, that everyone was fighting for life for a lie. The game puts it the best, I think. He’s an embodiment of a lie. It doesn’t mean you know what parts are fabricated or real and it doesn’t mean every intention was harmful. He’s so strange. I hope you’re having a nice day, by the way.
Everybody’s talking about Kokichi, but what about Kaito? Imm not saying this just because he’s my favourite character, but like... he helped Kokichi with his plan and had to stay hidden pretending to be him the whole trial. He was on the edge of feeling despair when Kokichi pretended to drink the antidote and agreed to his plan because he wanted to help the others too, it definitely might have been a bit selfish, but I definitely cried in this trial more than in any other. R.I.P, Kokichi Ouma R.I.P, Kaito Momota
Kokichi was extremely amoral, yet trying to do the right thing. His death made me feel both sad and that it was somewhat deserved after his actions in the game
I cried like a baby at this chapter, poor oma, poor kaito, personally I’m more of a person for Kokichi but kaito didn’t deserve this either. “At least I wasn’t boring, right?” Will always get me. Rip best boi Kokichi
I'm crying, my baby Kokichi died in such a heroic way... I'm always attached to characters that end up dead... WHY ME, WHY HIM, WHY EVERY FICTIONAL CHARACTER FAN?!?
Seriously, rewatching this case filled me so much despair and sadness...i legit raged and cried the first time i played the game. Honestly, if Kokichi wanted to really create an impossible murder, they shouldn't have shown Kaito's sleeve and they shouldve added Kokichi's clothes in the press, it would've been IMPOSSIBLE since you can't figure out who the victim or muderer is (but i guess Team Danganronpa iust did it to make things easy). The thing i HATED about this case was the fact they didn't care about Kokichi despite knowing the truth behind his lie. Our grape boi didn't deserve this😭 i mean, it was so badass at the same time sad. I'm so attached to Kokichi idk why T^T
I started crying like he didn’t have to do it but he did it anyways just to stop this killing game, I bet now literally everyone feels bad for how they all treated him cause he did all of this for them?? Kinda- like he literally sacrificed himself for this he could’ve just continued lying and survived but he was like nope ima choose death to end the killing game 🥺
He’s seen as the antagonist, and he is. But truth is, he was just someone who was scared, vulnerable, and wanted to help. Gonta was the only person who really talked to him. Kokichi had been writing the book since the beginning of the game, and knew he had to find some way to win. Since miu was targeting him, he needed her gone so that he could finish the plan. Gonta helped.. at the trial, you can see Kokichi’s face turn black and he fell quiet. Gonta was his only friend and you could tell he actually regretted it. Now imagine regretting something, then everyone is telling you how much of a liar you are. That’s just one part.. Next, KOKICHI’S death. Kokichi decided that dying himself was the only way the plan would work, since he had no one else left. (Even if he did, it would’ve been like the Gonta trial. He’d regret.) Most people hate him. But what would they have thought of him if he won the game? He was only acting like a ‘jerk’ to others because he wanted to appeal to monokuma. The ones who don’t appeal, get killed off. So Kokichi wanted to live as long as he could. He was smart for that. He was told to make the game interesting. In reality, he was just trying to help the others survive without getting attached like he did with Gonta. He wanted no one in his way.. now if you think about it, if he wanted the plan to only make him live, he wouldn’t have made the plan to kill himself off. If he wasn’t even alive, he wouldn’t survive. So what was the point of his plan?... To help everyone else escape in trade for his life.. Next time someone says “I hate Kokichi, he’s so inconsiderate.” Just think about this.. Now tell me that’s not the saddest death..
To add on to the sadness, Kokichi could've let Kaito die and STILL make an unsolvable murder. But he didn't. He saved his life, saved Maki from becoming the blackened, and tried to save everyone. The last part would've happened, if Shuichi didn't wasn't so desperate to search for the truth
Just imagine the afterlife after this “Yo Kaito, did it work?” “Nah I sold it at the end then died mid execution, Monokuma was PISSED” “Lmao good enough”
I know this was Kokichi's plan, but it still makes me so emotional from the way he died...

The fear in Kokichi's face before he dies seems real and that breaks my heart 😩
This is the most confusing shit i ever seen

Obituary
Name: Kokichi Ouma
DOB: Unknown
DOD: Unknown
COD: Poisoned and then crushed by hydraulic press.
Occupation: Ultimate Supreme Leader.
By the way, why did Saihara reveal the trick and killer instead of letting Ouma win the killing game? He clearly said that it was to beat the real mastermind after all.
Carl Turallo
Because even though it went against the rules Monokuma was still going to execute everyone if they got it wrong.
Carl Turallo
Yes, he was going to execute them no matter what. This actually becomes important in the ending later on. You'll see if you haven't already.
This chapter gave me the most despair 😭
At least kaito didnt die the way kaito wanted.
@@theatrenerd197 fuuuuuuuuuuu-.... ye
This death is so sad, Kokichi is my favorite character and his plan was just to die a way Monokuma could not figure it out..His scared face almost makes me cry. OH GOD I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT.
I love Saihara but he really triggered me when he assumed Kokichi was being selfish
But Saihara realized that he shouldn't have thought of that. He really is grateful for what Kokichi did. Otherwise, why would he go to his room and take his will? But yeah, it was triggering XD. At least, Saihara knew that, in the end, Ouma did help him, even in death.
I like some characters in the game but what triggered me is that they haven't cared for Kokichi before and after his death being revealed.
@@ellagabrielle7173 He lost everyone’s trust, especially after what happened to Gonta. He was never their favorite person because of his constant lying and unpredictable nature.

Thinking about this, Shuichi kinda messes everything up. if he'd never figured out it was Kaito:
1) Kokichi's death would not be in vain.
2) the killing game would end.
3) Kaito would not be executed.
Monokuma would have executed everyone if they didn't figure it out.
@@ringyz I believe that the intent of kokichi's sacrifice was to get monokuma to announce the wrong name as guilty, so it would be a kind of paradox?
@@ringyz also don’t forget Monokuma didn’t know who the culprit was either

When Shuichi did his whole naming the blackened thing during my first playthrough. I instinctively thought Shuicui was gonna say “Kaito Momota, Luminary Of The Stars” instead of his usual naming the ultimate talent and the killers name. 😅

I’m just wondering....
What if kokichi died before turning off the hydraulique press?
Then maki will become the blackened and the trial will be very confusing
Well maybe there would have been 2 blackened kokichi killed kaito and maki killed kokichi
they wouldn't know
неадекват фанат Няшки флеша If that’s the case, then why is kaito the killer and not maki?
True, but as you said, Kaito crushing kokichi wouldn't be a kill, since kaito didn't do anything to kill kokichi, and If kokichi is dead and Kaito didn't kill him, then maki is the killer right?
What do you mean I paused at 9:14 at stared at Kokichi shirtless for 15 minutes?
Snider Petz and Ponyz couldn't relate more
creepy...
@@Tropicality. It's normal if your a weeb!
Omg I did the same bruh-
Because youpause to see kokichi shirtless "0_0
This trial would've been 10x more difficult if Kaito's jacket wasn't there.
@@Immy741 Mr. "I must believe in my friends!!" really ruined the entire plan.......😑😒
@@ellagabrielle7173 he didn't "directly made everyone believe that Kokichi was lying" if that was his intention, why even quote Kokichi's confession in the first place? the only person who was convinced he was lying was Himiko, Kaito and the others were in doubt about it
DAMN IT KOKICHI WHY ARE YOU SO DISHONESTLY NICE
This is why Kokichi is actually a good person. He saved Kaito’s life.
Not really he knew he would die
Uh-huh Fair enough. If I had the time I’d make an argument.
Yeah and also killed Miu and Gonta just to ruin the game nobody wanted to play in ch 5-6

The feels, where my boy died
Next time someone says “I hate Kokichi, he’s so inconsiderate.”
Just think about this..
Just imagine the afterlife after this
“Yo Kaito, did it work?”
“Nah I sold it at the end then died mid execution, Monokuma was PISSED”
“Lmao good enough”
