Man, this ending was so powerful and thought-provoking. For me the most haunting thing about this was seeing Tsumugi’s cosplays as all the past characters distinguished by them having V and 3 in each of their eyes. It looked as if they were all ghosts or were brainwashed and reduced to henchmen under their control. It was honestly heartbreaking to see Hajime and everyone else like that and to hear them say all that.
From when they said everything was a lie, from that point on kokichi was telling the straight truth from when they got their talents. As well as Kokichi is my favorite character those lies he said proved that he knew more than everyone else, he probably remembered that they agreed to join a killing game (show) . Kokichi was probably leaving hints to let other people know that everything that was said was a lie. Therefore, if im correct, Kokichi would be a secondary detective.
I feel like this perfectly describes how the fandom is. I mean look at us! We create original characters and have them participate in killing games. We create executions and murder scenes for them. A personality and a backstory. We don’t think much of it because we know it’s fictional. Now..... Imagine this.... That character you created experience these killing games you put them in as real. That once you join that killing game. You’re no longer yourself. But the ultimate sketch artist for example. With a whole different personality and backstory. Suddenly you are put in this situation where you are fighting for life and death. You don’t remember being yourself. Your someone else. And that’s what makes this game so much more deep.
Super Shiny Star but... Kodaka even said that the "fandom"in NDRV3 isn't supposed to represent the fandom. The difference is, we aren't actually harming anyone. It's all fictional which doesn't cause anyone to actually die. But in NDRV3 the fandom went so crazy that they're killing actual people. The ending was supposed to say that fiction and lies have the power to change the world as much as truths. It had nothing about "Yea you guys are sick for enjoying a killing game"
Yes we certainly don't use real people, but the fact remains that even though we like seeing good triumph over evil, we keep craving that simulated conflict, these killing games and battle royales and survival stories that no longer seem to have any point other than to give us the elation of loving characters, losing them, and punishing the responsible... It's kinda like bullying. I mean just look at The Walking Dead, what initially was an exploration of human nature in that kind of setting eventually becomes a colisseum, wondering who will die next. Shock value sells, the more realistic, dramatic and unfair, the biggest the elation of retribution. Would our boredom lead us to accept a new form of this depravity under the excuse of "consent" in the future? This is why V3 could only end this way after the Hope arc was finally done, for the "hope vs despair" theme was (and it had already become) a mere motif for a commercial franchise. You could also say that in itself is wanting despair. Wether the author adheres to this message in the future, it's up to him.

I've never liked the killing game part. Sure I like the trial parts, but I hated seeing the victims dead and the executions have always be something I could never look at after the first time.

Evett Vajh I found her suspicious because of how purposely "plain" she was as a character. I found it weird how SHE survived this long. Usually the ones who survive long are the ones with strong personality traits, and the "normal" ones end up being the protaganist. I didnt know what, but I knew there was something up with her and keebo especially since keebo was a robot.
No, I think the whole point of the final trial is to show us what this “hope” really is. These characters, albeit fictional, feel and understand and exist within every experience in the Danganronpa franchise. Even if they’re fake, “lies” that a company has created, this fiction is strong enough to impact us, the viewer and consumer. Lies are powerful enough to change us and our truth. This isn’t in just the final trial. Shuichi lies throughout all of the game’s trials for one sole reason: to attain the truth. These lies can become the truth. These lies are the truth.
Somewhere between an hour and ten and an hour and fifteen the outside world says "you should've died instead of Kaede" That must have been so painful for Shuichi to hear :(
Reminder that in Shuichi's audition tape he kinda seems focused slightly less focused on murder (despite the gruesome and blackened comments) and more focused on him wanting to die for the sake of the killing game (being the blackened, and executed) which is just very sad to me

I actually wouldn't mind if V3 was the last Danganronpa game. I mean, the characters... They all deserve to be free. They all deserve for the killing games to end. They don't deserve to be stuck in a game where they suffer continuously.
this ending was really strong IMO These "fictional" characters would be willing to defy their own existence, because to them, what they suffered through, the friends lost, the deaths, the tears, to them all of that was real. the tragedies may have been fiction, something that would not affect reality, but no matter how much of it is a lie, even though their existence is a lie, what they experienced is a lie, they would fight because to them it was real, to them that is their truth.
Even if this was "fictional" I was right there with the "characters". Even if they were "fictional" I was sad to see the dead victims, I hated finding out the culprits because that meant sending them to a horrible execution I wouldn't wish on anyone real or fictional! Like the "fictional characters" this game was a real tragedy to me and my heart.

I feel like this perfectly describes how the fandom is. I mean look at us! We create original characters and have them participate in killing games. We create executions and murder scenes for them. A personality and a backstory. We don’t think much of it because we know it’s fictional.
Now.....
Imagine this....
That character you created experience these killing games you put them in as real. That once you join that killing game. You’re no longer yourself. But the ultimate sketch artist for example. With a whole different personality and backstory. Suddenly you are put in this situation where you are fighting for life and death. You don’t remember being yourself. Your someone else. And that’s what makes this game so much more deep.

The difference is, we aren't actually harming anyone. It's all fictional which doesn't cause anyone to actually die. But in NDRV3 the fandom went so crazy that they're killing actual people.
The ending was supposed to say that fiction and lies have the power to change the world as much as truths. It had nothing about "Yea you guys are sick for enjoying a killing game"

Yes we certainly don't use real people, but the fact remains that even though we like seeing good triumph over evil, we keep craving that simulated conflict, these killing games and battle royales and survival stories that no longer seem to have any point other than to give us the elation of loving characters, losing them, and punishing the responsible... It's kinda like bullying. I mean just look at The Walking Dead, what initially was an exploration of human nature in that kind of setting eventually becomes a colisseum, wondering who will die next. Shock value sells, the more realistic, dramatic and unfair, the biggest the elation of retribution.
Would our boredom lead us to accept a new form of this depravity under the excuse of "consent" in the future? This is why V3 could only end this way after the Hope arc was finally done, for the "hope vs despair" theme was (and it had already become) a mere motif for a commercial franchise. You could also say that in itself is wanting despair. Wether the author adheres to this message in the future, it's up to him.

This game ending has gotten me so depressed.. And honestly it kinda outlined that part of me that.... Wanted people dead and mysteries solved. That's just the depraved part in all of us watching this series. Like, we love the characters and then see them die, they get avenged and punished, then we laugh and cry. It's just a big shit fest of emotions and darkness in the human heart.

I've never liked the killing game part. Sure I like the trial parts, but I hated seeing the victims dead and the executions have always be something I could never look at after the first time.

I found her suspicious because of how purposely "plain" she was as a character.
I found it weird how SHE survived this long. Usually the ones who survive long are the ones with strong personality traits, and the "normal" ones end up being the protaganist.

These "fictional" characters would be willing to defy their own existence, because to them, what they suffered through, the friends lost, the deaths, the tears, to them all of that was real. the tragedies may have been fiction, something that would not affect reality, but no matter how much of it is a lie, even though their existence is a lie, what they experienced is a lie, they would fight because to them it was real, to them that is their truth.

Even if this was "fictional" I was right there with the "characters". Even if they were "fictional" I was sad to see the dead victims, I hated finding out the culprits because that meant sending them to a horrible execution I wouldn't wish on anyone real or fictional!

The first deaths in DR1 and V3 had me feeling depressed... Not so much for DR2 since its the only good outcome that was all in a virtual world.
@@GorgeousGirlGenius i really like dr2 because it makes you relaxed, since dr1 and drv3 are trapped in a school.. it triggered my claustrophobia and i don't feel safe at all (i guess it was intended tho), dr2 is still my favorite to this day, but the negative part is that nagito is the only crazy one and it made people mad at him and he got misunderstood easily.. while in dr1 and drv3, the difference is only that either there's no crazy person, or there is couples of crazy person
