At the movies theatres in Ontario back in the early 80s, this video would play before the movie started. Everyone would stand for the national anthem. Happy times.
When I was residing in Detroit, I watched CBET TV 9 in Windsor and they would run this after their broadcast day. It would be followed by the colour test bars and call sign and 24-hour digital real time in the lower right side of screen. Glad to see this again remastered in Hi-Def....thanx!
Then at some point in the 90s (early 90s, I think), CBC began using an animated version with the seagull flying across Canada with the music in this clip being used for that sequence
Among the TV stations that used this national anthem film were: the Atlantic Satellite Network (now CTV Two Atlantic) CBC Montreal Global TV Ontario CKY-TV in Winnipeg CFCN-TV in Calgary CKVU-TV in Vancouver
It was used for Sign on and Off (Startup and Closedown) in the 70's and 80's including Global TV CBC TVOntario and Among other TV network and Stations across Canada and within Borders of the United States (Which is followed by The Star Spangled Banner Banner)
This is the best orchestra version of the national anthem ever recorded, beautiful and moving, the video is also very inspirational, however given the current sad state of the world, the politically correct nutters will go off on it because there are too many white people in the film.
