A beautiful country with amazing people. I would love to visit again from the US when the border reopens. For now, let's work together to end this pandemic.
I like the scene where two politicians who seemed to not get along put aside their differences and shook hands seemingly for the good of Canada. We need more of that sort of bi-partisanship in the present day in Canada, the U.S and the world in general.
@@BucyKalman pretty sure that's meant to be George Brown who was a political rival to Macdonald but temporarily did cooperate with him during the early talks of Confederation... Cartier was more of a close political ally to Macdonald
It made me smile too that two rival politicians shook hands and worked together long enough to found Canada and assemble its government for the good of Canada.
It angers me dearly. They are TRAITORS and should be charged with treason. My ancestors are legal assimilating immigrants to Canada but I bow to our Queen and would die for Canada. God save the queen and love live the Canadian dominion.

However, in his time, he was a Canadian icon, and I think his actions need to be put into context. Again, I disagree with what they did, but it’s not that they were ungrateful.
