Man that was a wholesome video! ☺ So awesome to see you get so many babies from both of the species already! I'm hanging for the next video update on the new tanks for them! Thanks for the shout out as well! I really, really appreciated it! ❤
I have to tell you, my kids are 2 and 4 and they LOVE your videos! Especially my 2 year old daughter! You and Tarantula Kat have taken over our tv! Thank you so much for what you do!
Ok, so I feel so much better about my temporary crab bin now. I had not really seen anybody setting up an environment in a bin. So I just decided to wing it. It actually looks a lot like yours with the little plastic bowls and everything. Thank you for showing this!!!! I did lose my only male in that bin because he got stuck behind the water dish. Now that I see your sphagnum moss setup, I think I won’t lose another one to the temp bin. Now to wait an Entire Year for Aquatic Arts to restock their White Mandarins to replace my male. 😢
The purple ones are cool but I gotta pick the red devils. I like the red bodies with yellow/white eyes, so cool. That poster is awesome. Seeing how many different colors there are. Very cool animal and good video.
Amazing Video with lots of insight on the species (as usual)! I've owned and bred Geosesarma dennerle myself and ran into the same thought process, about the deli cups and raising them individually. I found that the bigger "problem" about raising as many as possible weren't even the adults but usually the crablets themselves, that do cannibalise each other after a certain size difference establishes. In bins similar in size that you have I've successfully raised offsprings of up to 3 different females (at the same time and yes I had lots of space problems too haha) and with all that competition there still grew up about 60 to the size of around 1cm when I was able to more easily separate them and move them into different "school bins". My crabs absolutely loved hunting crickets and one of the males I had once even hunted a subadult migratory locust. They are absolute beasts! Ps. the female G. dennerle at 12:59 is pregnant (I don't know when that clip was taken as at 6:16 that same individual does not appear to be pregnant). Also the female at 16:54 is pregnant too!
6:18 oh my gosh, she has the cutest little smile shape on her back and it makes the most ADORABLE LITTLE FACE EVER!!!!!!! 😂🥹😆 It reminds me of the underside of a manta ray
We have hermit crabs and my 3 year old kept telling people mama has crabs it was horribly hilarious 😂 definitely can relate you at the beginning of this video
It's so fun to breed vampire crabs! I have G. bogorensis (which really just be a variation of G. dennerle?), and I wish I had space for more of the species. They are so beautiful, and I'm glad you're having such success with them.
I'm so happy to see this upload! I was looking forward to see how your vampire crabs were doing. Also can't wait to see if you set up a paludarium for them in the future! :D If I had to pick, I'd say I really like all the vampire crab colorations but the red really does pop!! thank you for the great video~
Hello I recently got vampire crabs and Im looking for a way to identify the different types. I saw you had a book at beginning of the video? Of if you know other references. i knew the shop keeper but they were just sold as random. I picked out 2f1m of the solid purple (I think) but I'd love away to identify different types. Book, Website, other reference???
Another great video, going off topic a bit have you ever considered doing a reef tank ? After keeping reptiles for many years myself I recently had a reef tank come into my possession and as someone who enjoys trying to naturally replicate environments for reptiles trying to replicate a coral reef has been the most interesting and rewarding experience I’ve had in animal husbandry plus nothing can beat the beauty of a coral reef. You’re very talented at terrarium design and I wondered if you’ve ever thought about being a reefer
Thank you for another great video! When I saw them in the pet store I didn't realize you could keep them in bins like isopods 🤯 I'd say purple, as an artist the yellow and purple contrast is just 👌
Dayyan why did you stop posting on UA-cam? Are you having issues with your channel? I know your profile on Facebook has been doing really well. But I’m sure everyone misses you here. These little crabs are so cool!
Ok! I need to get some...most...ALL of the different types of Vampire Crabs!!! So amazing! QotD: Of the two you raise, maybe the Purple? Tough call - but then you had to pull out that chart! WOW...💜
well I have to say that of the two i prefer the hagens, as I actually keep those, they are really cool crabs, and I've seen that they are great climbers, one of them has been living un top of the leaves of a chamadorea palm for a few days. I recommend a more tall enclosure if you can find it. Of the vampire crabs in general my favourite is the rouxi, they are more territorial and a bit fossorial, but the colors alone make up for it. Highly recommend them
I’ve been having an issue with my stenos like at the start of this video since February. No worries about the babies being eaten there but I sold off a bunch and may have more babies now than I have sold 😂😂😂
I think that the first species looks better, just because I have seen the second other times. I thought that all vampire crabs looked like the second species. Also I didn’t know that they are cannibalistic. They are always advertized as social.
@@Reptiliatus NONONO I MEAN IT LIKE THEY'RE SO PRETTY I COULD EAT THEM.. IT'S THE EQUIVALENT OF WANTING TO SQUEEZE A FLUFFY CAT 😭 Plus I'm allergic to all ocean animals anyways 😭
Question of the day: The Red Vampire crabs. That red color is just so intense and they obviously did not have a problem producing offspring in captivity ;).

sooooon. Sorry it's been such a wild wait!
I love crabs, I used to have hermit crabs when I was a teenager. I'm a ferret mom now, I've had 10 ferrets in my lifetime so far.
I don’t think I could ever have ferrets,at least ones from the US,as they are all from mills, and only live half the natural lifespan
@@bugloverspiderlover8490 I've had a couple that lived 10yrs, the others passed around 5-8 yrs.

I love your channel! And daayans of course. I'm a subscriber of you as well 😊
I've been wanting vampire crabs for a few years now and I'm so jealous! I could not choose between the 2, they are both stunning! I love them!
I have to tell you, my kids are 2 and 4 and they LOVE your videos! Especially my 2 year old daughter! You and Tarantula Kat have taken over our tv! Thank you so much for what you do!
The hi yellow vampire crab has a cute smiley face on her back! Nature is amazing. =0)
So true! Thanks for watching!

They are so small and cute 😊
VERY! Thank you for watching!
i know you said you should probably not keep them with other animals but i have seen them kept with mourning gekos do you think this could be possible

Is this an example of failing successfully? 😂
Love them all! Thanks for sharing more amazing critters with us. ❤
Lol! Literally! Thank you for the kind words of support and thank you for watching!
I can't choose which one is my favorite. They are like dart frogs, I want them all! So stinkin' cute.
I love the red devils! The colors are just amazing and the white eyes are so cool
I looooooove the purple ones. I always enjoy seeing your animals but I think these are some of my favorites you keep.
Thanks so much! 🦀🙏🏼

Love me some crabs! Great video as always! How's ghorme sabzi doing btw? :)
The red devils are really stunning. I am considering getting something as a dorm companion other than my fish tank.
Can I use any small plastic container? And how do you keep them warm in them ? Purple are my favourites that’s what I keep 😊
I am working on these vampire crabs bro. Hope to see more of topics related to vampire crabs 🎉
The vampire crabs are so cool & colorful! How do you choose. I live them both red & purple are my favorite colors.

indoor ecosystems is going to make me go broke making paludariums really want some of the denerle. the purple with the yellow are so nice
Couldn't agree more! Jash and his content are awesome and so inspirational!
My bad 😅It sure does get addictive though!
Those crabs are so cool! We actually carry them at our store and find them so entertaining to watch in their paludarium setup!
Awesome!

Are you able to keep them healthy for long period of times in those plastic containers?
These guys have been on my radar for a while, what size bins are you keeping them in?
Hey Dayyan where do u get their tubs from or what is the company?

Red Devils for shure! Would you do a video on your platstic bins setup? How do you provide heat and UVB when it’s needed🧐
cant wait to see your set up when you build it
Thank you! I'm really excited to get to work!
Very cool video 👌🏻❤️
Very interesting. Thank You so very much.
I am looking into breeding few of these creatures.
Hey Dayyan! Do these crabs need UVB lighting? Thanks!
I like the red ones. Great video as always

I’ve got the same problem with my Bombinas right now. I’ve got like 70+ tadpoles and more on the way lol.
Haha its a bitter sweet problem!
lol yes scary and exciting!!
Could i have the link to the tub and substrate?
They are both so cute...but my favorite color is purple and the color contrast of the purple and yellow is amazing so I would probably pick those

Thanks brother! There's one with yours, and Ryans names on them! Don't tell him 😉!

I like the yellow/purple vampire crab 🏖️🦀
Hello great video information Dayyan
Hello! Thank you as always. 🦀
Question of the day: I gotta go with the purples! It’s my favorite color, and our wedding colors were actually purple and yellow!
Good luck Brother I raise Red Devils..Purple Vampires...and Rainbow Vampires here in Az. And have well over 100...
I love them
Me too! Thanks for watching!
Purple is my favorite color. So you can only assume which one I prefer. The red are cool too.
Great choice! Thank you for watching/commenting!
They are both cute.
🦀✨🦀
I’ve been having an issue with my stenos like at the start of this video since February. No worries about the babies being eaten there but I sold off a bunch and may have more babies now than I have sold 😂😂😂
How often do you change the water for the crabs?
At least weekly if not twice a week usually
But ideally, you want a larger water area with some form of filtration. 75% land, 25% water
@Reptiliatus of course more like a paludarium right, I've got some research to do but I'm extremely interested keeping crabs
Are you going to be selling the red devil babies after they develop some more?
Most likely :)! I can't keep all of them, haha!
That's true lol
Damn. I want crabs now 😂😂

Fresh water :).

Neat idea! Haven't done one of those in almost a decade! 📚

Maybe someday! I'm quite happy with my tree monitors!
