Thank you! That second one was the first I did a few months ago! Give this new one time, I'm confident it'll grow in beautifully! Thank you for watching!
Beautiful! Both the enclosure and the spiders of course! And nice rehousing! Just made a bioactive for my A. avicularia. Tho I’m planning on letting it cycle for a while. It’s a juvenile and I had an exo terra nano tall. Way too big for it. But I just had to make it. Will be well planted and lots of springtails by the time I put it in :)
QOTD: OBT, H. purchipes, Lesser black, Curly ❤ This new series is fantastic! It’s hard to find T content with these husbandry standards. I love how you love these creatures!
For the QotD I would vote for Aragog to get the next bioactive. My goal eventually is to do bioactive enclosures for my three Theraphosa in the future when they get to adulthood (I have a blondi, a stirmi, and apophysis), but my two pokies and my Psalmopoeus species may get them first after seeing your terrarium build for yours. Great video!
Subfusca (Lowland) is one of my first tarantulas, can't wait for it to be juvenile, my favorite poecilotheria along with the ruffilata & regalis of curse 🙌
I vote for Aragog! I would love to see her in a beautiful giant setup! Also if you're looking for a country fitting name for your new girl I think Chanda would be a very cool name, it means Moon/Fierce/Passionate which is very apt for a dark Pocie girl 😊
I love bioactives. Those are both amazing enclosures and beautiful spiders! I have a few slings in semi-bioactive enclosures. Bio Dude substrate, leaf litter and springtails, but the plants are fake. When they get a little bigger I’ll definitely go all out.
I didn't realize there were other "red leg" tarantula species besides the mexican red leg or fire leg tarantula. This coasta rica species is so beautiful. I'll have to look more into them.
I vote for either your Cyriopagopus lividus, Aragog, or a Poecilotheria rufilata. I’ve been needing to redo my mature female C. lividus enclosure, and I will definitely need to rehouse my Theraphosa apophysis juvenile and P. rufilata subadult very soon, so I’d love to see your takes on their setups
really loving what I see. where is it you are purchasing your plants and round cork? working on a Poecilotheria formosa and really like how you went about with the round cork bark.
QOTD: I'm not a terrestrial invert person (apart from isopods, awwww,) so I just vote for whichever spidey friend deserves a beautiful new enclosure the most.❤❤❤
To explain my comment: I keep a marine reef aquarium! I have multiple species of coral (all species which propigate readily in captivity, nothing I have came from the wild,) rose bubbletip anemomes, two berghia nudibranchs, two blue-eyed hermit crabs (named Skitter and Scat,❤) seven or so brittle starfish, an astarina starfish, and tomorrow I am hopefully receiving my first ever emerald crab! I LOVE crabs so I'm really stoked to be getting my first crabby-crab since I've really just had hermits before and I will probably call it Jade.❤ Because I plan on adopting a sixline wrasse (parasite predator which also sometimes preys on shrimp,) I'm holding off on shrimp adoptions for now.😊 I also have two Amphiprion ocellaris clownfish named Moby and Cousteau, a striped fang blenny (venomous!) named Convict, a yellow watchman goby named Clyde, a green chromi named Mer (short for 'Mermaid,') and Skittle the clown goby (who is poisonous if eaten which is the source of their other common species name of poison goby!) I'm almost done building my reef and I'm really stoked! Just two more coral species to add and a few more fish and my reef will be complete after a year of work. ❤
Hi, good day. Love these animals. They are beautiful. You showed 2 spiders one was a high land and the other a low land. Since these are the only 2 I know of since you showed them. Either of them get my vote.
Springtails help keep the enclosure clean so it’s beneficial for the spider . They live in a small plastic box don’t you want your animals living the best life you can possibly give them
I have tons of springtails, I’ll likely add some soon. The only reason I didn’t is because despite spot watering the few plants in the terrarium, I’m concerned the enclosure will be a bit too dry overall for them to do well in Poecilotheria parameters.
Beautiful spider!! the enclosures look really good. I need upgrade my c.versicolor and my p. regalis enclosures, so this was good inspiration. Does anyone know what kind of cement that was and if its water proof?
Awesome video man. Really loving this terrarium. Can you tell me what the clay stuff you use is? I'd like to get some to use in my beardies enclosure. My tarantula is still too small to rehouse
hey Dion I have a question for you, you see I'm planning to start keeping tarantulas and wanted your opinion, what is the best small starter tarantula species
@ethansilve5508 you won't see much of the C.Elegans or H.Formosa sp Columbia as they can be quite reclusive and hide most of the time. T.Albo, B.Hamorii or A.Chalcodes are your best starter Tarantulas. And all of the ones I have mentioned are excellent display species 😊 ps...I have all 5 species listed above 😉
How about giving Strawberry shortcake, your female Brazilian giant blonde tarantula (Nhandu tripepii) a new naturalistic home? They're such pretty fuzzy Ts yet they're rarely showcased on anyone's channel (not that I watch anyone else's channel... 🙄)
So if this tank was going to be watered or misted frequently, I would add one but since it’ll just be me manually mistaking and controlling that, I’m not concerned at all! There won’t be overwatering

I don't have any bioactive enclosures for my Tarantulas but I do like them to look naturalistic.

I had no idea there was another sp of HL. She is absolutely stunning.
I have 17 pokies so I understand lol.
The enclosure is beautiful!!
Yes! Thank you so much!
QOTD: I can’t remember the name but the tarantula with the gorgeous, electric blue legs. That’s my vote for the next enclosure
Electra! She is my electric blue tarantula (Chilobrachys natanicharum)
@@Reptiliatus YES! Electra! She’s my favorite and sooo beautiful. (Can this comment be counted as a second vote??🤣)
@@loriw2661 haha, sure!
Aren't they a (very) rare breed from Thailand that has just been discovered, living in empty trees and even bamboo stalks?
Beautiful! Both the enclosure and the spiders of course! And nice rehousing!

Beautiful animals! I hope she and the male breed for you. I enjoyed the raga-like music in the background, dreamy and appropriate for the species.
Thank you! So glad you liked the video!
Amazing set up! Bioactive for the win!
Thank you friend! Made possible to maintain and do with ease thanks to your acrylic replacement lid! 🙏🏼
👌👌👌👌Awsome Terrarium....awsome T ❤
My vote is for Electra! Such a beautiful blue T!

I'm so jealous! I want a subfusca but it's been impossible to find one here so far. Beautiful enclosure and spider!
The soothing music does not help me with the heeby jeebies! Beautiful animals, I respect them for what they are, but not in my house!
Thank you my friend! Haha, I respect that too! Thank you for watching despite your fears!

Hi, good day. Love these animals. They are beautiful. You showed 2 spiders one was a high land and the other a low land. Since these are the only 2 I know of since you showed them. Either of them get my vote.
I didn't have a photo to use for the P. subfusca highland form. There are 3 recognized forms! :)
The best way to mount hardscape like that is the cotton/superglue method, imo.
Great tip! Thanks!
Springtails help keep the enclosure clean so it’s beneficial for the spider . They live in a small plastic box don’t you want your animals living the best life you can possibly give them

Thanks so much! I actually showed it in the video! It’s called Stone desert substrate by exo terra :)
I think you should give a new enclosure to your favorite in your collection.
That is hard to decide in itself! haha
hey Dion I have a question for you, you see I'm planning to start keeping tarantulas and wanted your opinion, what is the best small starter tarantula species
Exciting! In my personal opinion, I'd strongly recommend Tliltocatl albopilosus, The Honduran curly haired tarantula.
@@Reptiliatus I was thinking of more like a heart butt or a pumpkin patch

I looove arachnid/insect content
I appreciate the update on the other viv. I looove seeing updates on bioactive setups.
Happy to hear that! Thanks for watching!

How do you do lighting on those acrylic tops?
LEDs work well. The acrylic is high quality and almost 2 inches thick. The other lid looks perfect after several months of use and zero warping!
I just got a Poecilotheria striata
Awesome species!
@Reptiliatus she's a confirmed female 5 year old breeder and is 7inch. Absolutely amazing
Do you not need a drainage layer in there if bioactive?
So if this tank was going to be watered or misted frequently, I would add one but since it’ll just be me manually mistaking and controlling that, I’m not concerned at all! There won’t be overwatering

What was the name of your clay?
Stone desert substrate

Which species though? 😉
You should name her Lakshmi
Great name! :)
Theraphosa Stirmi Female for the rehouse 🫡
Aragog! Great choice!
You should name her Lakshmi
