- عن أبي موسى رضي الله عنه قَالَ: كَانَ الْيَهُودُ يَتَعَاطَسُونَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجَاءَ أَنْ يَقُولَ لَهُمْ يَرْحَمُكُمُ اللَّهُ فَكَانَ يَقُولُ: (يَهْدِيكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بالكم)
The Jews would deliberately sneeze in the presence of the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wassallam) hoping that he would say: “May Allaah’s Mercy be upon you”, but instead he would say: “May Allaah guide you and set your affairs in order.” Saheeh, see Al-Irwaa, no. 1277.
