The only people sick of this question are the Pro-Hamas crowd. The rest of us love this question because it instantly tells us who we're are dealing with. I've heard Bassem say "ofcourse I condemn Hamas" but he always says it in a tone where you can't quite tell if he's sincere or not. Oct 7th has really challenged the people that support Palestinians due to the sheer brutality and barbarism displayed and they're trying really hard to somehow work through this cognitive dissonance of how can we support that cause given those behaviours. Otoh, Israel's war on Gaza is a pretty standard affair seen in any conflict over the last 100 years, battle on Mosul, Falugah, Mariupol, Bakhmut... Any war in a dense defended urban setup with a lot of civilians around. Required some extreme mental gymnastics. You can see the denying Oct 7th happened. Or saying nonsense how Gaza was occupied (was not). Just trying so hard to somehow justify the unjustifiable and now not condemn it.

He was more than an actor .... RIP robin Williams
The interviewer is not on Bassem's level. He interrupts him before he can make his point, potentially because he can't argue with it.
The sneaky "Piersy Morganey" question of " do you condemn Hamas?" has the gift of finding its way in every progandist pro- zionist interview.....
for some reason Hamas lovers have a problem with this question
Nope we don’t have a problem with that question. We just refuse to glorify your question with an answer. Because it hurts your feeling if we don’t answer.
Just like Israelis have a problem with answering the question . Do you support genocide ?
@@dondiegodeazambuja9410 answers to a question can glorify?
Nah, I think you have a problem with the question.
"Do you codemn Hamas" is not just a "guestion" but a propaganda rethorical question, which admits only one answer. As Bassam perfectly said "a moral checkpoint". Which makes this "question" a sad joke. As Gestapo would ask "you don't like our Führer?" Do you get it?
I have never seen a western journalist ask an Israeli if Palestine has a right to exist.
Palestine n'a jamais existé, c'était lès Philistins le peuple de la bande de Gaza, pas dès musulmans
Vaisey is no match for Bassem's quick wit. Bassem is a man for peace .
We are all so much better off because of Bassem, keep up the great work you are doing for those who don’t have a voice.
Good interview. Keep up the good work Bassam .
thank you bassem
Bassem is way too intelligent for this guy.
When Bassem speaks, he just carves the shortest path straight through all the BS around an issue and gets straight to the heart of it. Appropriately enough, for a former heart surgeon.
You noticed how the host defused the tension by switching to soccer. He knew that he had disturbed a hornets nest that he regretted.
Always the right and sincere answers👍🏾
Bassem should be the ambassador for Gaza !
دكتور باسم يوسف مذهل😍
شكرا جزيلا لإستضافة الدكتور 🙌
At 17.40 the interviewer wishes that he stayed home that day.😂😂
More like Bassem realized that this is a waste of time, talking to a brick wall

Basset is brilliant! What a cretinous interviewer, not listening, talking over Bassem in his haste to ask the checkpoint questions….
What does the tired question mean - does Israel have a right to exist? Did the regime of apartheid South Africa have the right to exist? Of course not. The solution to the gross injustice was to have a system of one person one vote, equal human rights for all. Same applies for Israel
Bassem Youssef is a national treasure.
My like is for bassem ONLY! terrible questions on and on!
I started hallucinating with these check-point kind of questions
Due respect to you Bassem and thank you greatly for your honorable stand

Well said Bassem. Every word true ❤
Interesting though that his show was not cancelled during the muslim brotherhood government.

I think many of them wanted to cancel the show but not all of them, specially the elite who have very progressive visions. Far better than the current government.. the political climate and economic stats were far better back then!

Thank you
Bassem chooses the right side of history ❤
Thanks for your courage 🙏
The Interviewer is so foolish.
Bassem is a hero for his ability to answer all these nonsensical questions. I have no idea where he gets the energy from.
If the people of Irealnd hadn't resisted with force after their land was stolen and half of them wiped out.. then they would still be living as slaves with an English boot on their necks in a freakin Raj.
Wonderful Bassem. He is the best.
I don't know much about Egyptian humour but I've seen the Panda cheese adverts - they're hilarious
Egyptians are legendary for their humor.
Lol they are
Those ads were insane 😂
The interviewer: enough, I learned my mistake
What an insult saying the Jon stuart of the middle east. He is 100% better & at least honest
Right on!
Terrible interviewer -- well done Bassam !
Amazing bassem as always very insightful
Mileikowsky is Netanyahus Real name.A polish man that is not even a semite
Thank you so much Bassem for your patience
I hate this reference “Jon Stewart of the Middle East”, every single interviewer repeats this like a parrot. He doesn’t need it, it’s like “Jon Stewart is the Real Slim Shady, all the other Slim Shadies are just imitating.” No! He is a brilliant comedian, communicator and intellectual and stands on his own. He doesn’t need any Stewart label.
I really enjoyed with this episode 👍
Excellent bassem ❤❤
Amazing the interviewer literally knows nothing about the conflict and lets bassem dominate him with waffle 😂😂
Bassem is someone who opened my eyes to Palestenian suffering when his video went viral in Piers Morgan
Man i went from Israel supporter to having sympathy for palestenian suffering
Bassem is amazing and gave Piers a taste of his own medicine !
Bassem is amazing !
He knows how to deal with their silly queation 😂out of no where askin him silly question !
They’re not moral checkpoints. If I’m an American citizen goes into Mexico or Canada, we go through customs why would it be any different to enter the country of Israel?
Bassem seems very cool, a cross between Jon Stewart and a little bit of Robin Williams. He's right on Palestine/Israel too.
Bassem has integrity and wit. Stewart has neither.
He’s wrong and his “aw shucks” act and fake humility are transparent as it gets.
The interviewer didn't give Bassem enough time to respond, without interrupting him.
9:23 Palestine / Gaza
15:01 "I mean actually it's a wonder for me, that like the 7 million Palestinians they didn't all join Hamas" - Bassem Youssef [~20 :10 End]
Really gross and detestable comment
Because he thinks like a terrorist
I am so impressed by this man.
Why didn't Egypt and Jorden establish a Palestinian state in 1950? Was the occupation legal then?
They wanted nothing to do with the trouble making and terrorism the Palestinians are known for. Lebanon allowed Palestinian refugees ,who were joined with a muslim terror group within Lebanon, and by the 1980s, Catholics and Christians were dying every day, and churches were bombed. Right now, there are young women of those religions being kidnapped to be sold for 2nd wives to muslim men. 2000 worshippers are left , but let's not forget Lebanon was the only M.E. state Christians could be freely accepted (I think it was about how much the churches gave to the government). Well, not anymore.
Why would they give over the state that already existed and capitulate?
A Palestinian State belongs in PALASTINE. Obviously.
Better question - why didn't Germany make amends for the Holocaust and establish a Jewish State in Germany?
@@angus7278 You guys keep repeating this nonsense. Maybe because Israel is the historical homeland of the Jews? What does it have to do with the holocaust?
@Blu-111 So giving the Palestinians a state in the west bank and Gaza would totally support this idea? I don't understand your argument. Ofcourse the answer is that the Palestinians don't care about having a state. They didn't care under the Ottomans. They didn't care under the Egyptians and Jordanians (who obviously didn't care either). The only thing they care about is Jews. If there were no Jews in the middle east there would never be a "Palestinian people" and there'd never be a "Palestine". This would be part of Syria or something.
Im surprisedk the interviewer didnt say 'khamas'!?! !??
Brilliant man Bassam
Bassem is brilliant! To the interviewer - the world is sick of the question ''Do you condemn Hamas?'' It should be ''Do you condemn Israel for over 120,000 innocent Palestinians killed and maimed by Israel in a mere 6 months of a genocide in Gaza?''
Where did you get these figures you threw about... ?
33,000 innocent Palestinians killed 2/3 women and children, another estimated 10,000 dead still under the rubble and approximately 80,000 confirmed injured Palestinians by Israeli bombs and weapons confirmed by the world health organisation.@@Bootsystem66

The only people sick of this question are the Pro-Hamas crowd. The rest of us love this question because it instantly tells us who we're are dealing with. People that justify indiscriminate barbaric violence towards children, woman, elderly, civilians, or people that hold some moral values. Hamas is like ISIS or Al-Qaeda.
