    I have to say, I’m following this tutorial for my Lumineth army and it has been so helpful. They look far better than stuff I have painted previously. It has certainly challenged me and although mine look a bit messy still and not even half as good as yours, I am happy with them and I couldn’t have done it without this video. So thank you.

    I'm halfway through my first unit of wardens (also my first miniatures ever). I fully assembled the leader, then cut off the backpack and primed the spare from the sprue, as I really didn't see how I would make a good job of it with it already attached!
    Thanks for the great video

    I'll be painting mine in Zaitrec paint scheme, as I'm terrible at white colours, plus their lore is class.

    I think that if you add some null oil on the scale armor it would look more detailed and it's a quick thing to do and then you repaint most of the scale silver. I know you put some oil but I think that the null oil directly after the base colour and then you add silver back and then Drakenhof oil and then you do your last couple of silver layer

      @ThePaintingCoach  4 роки тому +1

    Hi, Firstly I just want to say thank you for the guide! As somebody completely new to the hobby, I was drawn to the Lumineth army however I was initially overwhelmed by how complex the models looked to paint. This step-by-step guide has completely eased my concerns and I am now confident enough to take the plunge!
    I do have a couple of questions if you would be kind enough to clarify for a poor nooby! Firstly, you state that you primed the models with Wraithbone. Was this done with the spray can? Did you prime them Corax white first before applying the Wraithbone or was it straight to the wraithbone spray?
    My other question was regarding the sub assembly. Did you drill a small hole into the head in order to do this? And as for the regular troops with the shields at the front, would you also recommend painting those separately as well as the heads?
    Any help would be massively appreciated. Thank you again for the guide and I will be sure to subscribe and keep up to date with your videos. Craig.

    • @ThePaintingCoach
      @ThePaintingCoach  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Craig - thanks for the positive feedback - I really appreciate it!
      Yes I primed with wraithbone spray straight on the plastic- it's a primer so no issue doing this.
      I can't remember off the top of my head but I think I drilled the head and used a pin and cork - you could just pop it on some sprue
      And yes leave the shields separate - much easier to paint everything
      Hope that helps!

      Do you mean the fleshy areas? To me that looks like a mix - best approximation might be rakarth flesh, a thinned wash of reikland fleah shade and then a thin highlight of pallid wych flesh
      You could also start with gorthor brown as the base and mix some karak stone in - I'd try experimenting on some spare parts if you have them

      @ThePaintingCoach  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the comment Adam! If you want to go white you've got two ways:
      Pallid wych flesh and white scar highlight gives a warm white
      Ulthuan Grey and a White Scar highlight will giveb a cold white - this will also need to be shaded with a colder colour like very thinned drakenhoff nightshade

    • @ThePaintingCoach
