    Personally, I can't think of a more plesant thing to do on a rainy day.
    Great job, by the way.

    Amazing! Love the Gore Grunta Fur for the horse!
    Question... any alternative contrast color recipes for horses if we want to add a bit of variety?

      It does! It Doesn't help that I currently paint in a garage with a naked metal roof that acts like a drum kit for the rain

    I did the mistake to glue the shield on 3 of my 5 Dawnriders. They are a pain to paint,but they look amazing!

      This is one of the very few miniatures where I saw it coming! Usually I make the exact same mistake because I get too excited to see the final build!

    Awesome video dude! I did this scheme on my Dawnriders too. Would you by any chance be posting a video on Lyrior Uthralle. I'd love to see a video on it 🙌🏼

      He’s on my painting desk as part of commission so if I’ve time to film a video when I come to him then sure thing!

  • @Gramsci

    I’m curious why you didn’t subassemble the riders? Is it “easy” (relative term) to paint fully built?

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  3 роки тому +1

      I did it basically because it’s how I paint pretty much everything. It’s probably not the easiest way of doing things, but it’s how I like to paint. I think if I was to do more of these, I’d definitely do them in sub-assemblies though as there were some parts that were tricky to get to.

      Eventually I want to do them it's all a case of time and money and persuading a friend he wants them doing as well as all of these other guys. Although maybe I'll just do them ;)

    Amazing work as always.
    I have a question. When you star to paint the horse, you use contrast medium.
    Is there anything else you can use? Like glace medium?
    Thanks for answer and thank you for your excellent videos.

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  3 роки тому +1

      Honestly I'm not sure on the answer. Contrast Medium works perfectly with Contrast Paints as it's designed to work just like the Contrast Paints do. You could try other mediums but I would be a little careful and try and it first to see if it keeps the consistency and doesn't separate out the pigments as water does to Contrast Paints

    Awesome job man! Question, what thinner did you use for Corax white?

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  3 роки тому +1

      Typically just a bit of water. I'll also occasionally use some Medium if my Corax White pot is getting too gummed up and overloved shall we say?

    Hello teacher, I am learning from your contrast + how to paint tutorials so thanks you very much for that. A question pops up in my mind since i'm painting my LRL's with your tutorials as a guideline! Why are you using Gryph Hound Orange on this dawnriders instead of the Guilliman Flesh you used on the wardens and sentinels on those warm gold details in your previous videos? (I hope the question is clear enough) thanks in advance for your answer! :]

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  3 роки тому +1

      absolutely it makes sense! the reason here is because After having done the GHO on the gold on Teclis I wanted to see what the effect was like on a smaller miniature. Both work just as well as each other so you could do either and you'll get a very similar result. The Gryph Hound Orange is just that bit warmer and more firelike

    • @narcis6452
      @narcis6452 3 роки тому

      @@Warhipster Sweet, thanks! Tbh i'll stick to the GHO better than the other since we're already using that on the flesh, it's a nice way to utilize a new color for me ;)

    Very nice painting 😍 what size of brushes did you use ?

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  3 роки тому

      Oof it was a while ago but it was almost definitely a mixture of the M Layer and S Layer Citadel Brushes and an Army Painter Insane Detail brush for the really tiny fiddly bits.
