Due to Demi never actually being ordered to take over the world and how he views Ain'z, Demi under the belief that Ain'z has a plan that, while not fully knowing what Demi is doing, has a plan that will work with his plan. If you haven't noticed yet the things Ain'z does always seem to work out and on the surface we just take it as luck but its actually more than that. Due to Ain'z character build he has a special trait called something like 'wise man' that, while nothing more than a role play trait that has no actual game function, helps Ain'z act accordingly and make decisions that benefit him in this new world. It might also be the reason his emotions keep getting suppressed but thats just speculation on my part.
It's a bangin’ show for sure.

In the first season and first half of season 2 Ainz was really on top of things. Everything was going according to his plans. Then suddenly it shifts to Ainz having literally no idea what’s going on and everything going to Demi’s plans. There was build up to that of course. Right from the start Demi decided that Ainz would take over the world and started plotting. But still.

That is correct. Evileye is a vampire princess who fought alongside 13 heroes who are also players 250 years ago. She has another name: ``Destroying the country.'' Even though she felt that she didn't need love because her age stopped at 12, she ended up meeting Momon. Why did she become a vampire? Why did she destroy the country? Although unknown, it may be related to her talent, which is kept secret even to her friends.

Everybody wants a piece of Momonga, because he has 100 Charisma. Man is a walking NPC magnet.
The scene with Evileye falling in love with Momon was even more extreme in the novels. She starts envisioning herself as Momon's lover and even has a moment where she thinks about how she can't have his kids and accepts that he'll probably have to have other lovers besides her, but that she would be okay with that as long as she gets the most affection.
It was such tonal whiplash from how we came to know her up to that point that I was laughing my @$$ off when I first read it.
Also, there's a theory that the reason Evileye fell so hard is that because Lord Ainz is an undead Overlord and because she's an undead, she could sense is true nature and power, even though he'd switched classes and was wearing the armor, and she was feeling what it would be like to be in front of a god to her.
That’s always been my best theory too. Undead recognizes undead game. Can’t resist his ultimate power. It’s not like it came out of nowhere though. She said in an earlier episode that she would fall in love with a man who’s stronger than her, and her companions joke about how that’ll never happen.
Really appreciate you reading and responding to all the comments explaining the show,Demi and ainz were just playing around and putting on a show. It doesn't look like it in the anime but ainz really cares a lot about all the NPCs he treats them like the children of his cherished friends. The main motivation behind him not allowing the NPCs to go and fight shalltear in season 1 was that he did not want to see them kill each other. Evileye( the girl in red clothes) is a vampire, a popular theory is that the reason evileye instantly fell in love with ainz was because of one of his passive skills.overlord covers 3 full lightnovels in a season so it will never end on a cliffhanger, every arc will always be completed. @@yozarian86 The Vampire Princess of the Lost Country actually gives a lot of in-depth lore of Overlord. So, if you like Overlord, the world of it, and want to know more - it's worth to read the spin-off.
35:45 A great part of the comedy of Overlord is that, despite being intelligent and having a lot of experience in the game, Momonga is just a regular office worker that does not necessarily have the best skills to manage people, even less be an overlord, so he ends up roleplaying to fulfill his subordinates expectations. However, his subordinates see him as such a high entity that they always assume that he has a master plan that they are unable to comprehend.
and no one can blame them really, since everything does end up going greatly in favor of Ainz somehow (Ainz's 3 day visit to the Empire for example)
Finally, Luke got it. Ainz is *not* an omniscient being, who can plan everything down to the tiniest detail. Most of time, the Nazarick Guardians misinterpreted his intentions and words and do things on their own, thinking they acted accordingly to Ainz's plans.
Can we have a moment to appreciate how Ainz's plan was to search the land for his friends, but he slips up by saying "World domination" next to Demiurge and then BAM ! Overlords entire plot begins.
In fairness, he is an excellent tactician and a pretty good peacemaker which is why he was originally made head of the guild in the first place. So some of the things he does are pretty clever.
...it's just that a lot of the time there is no plan and he is totally winging it.

Momonga (AInz) has very good peacemaker instinct, even though he feels like he doesn't deserve the "leader" position it's heavily implied that Ainz Ooal Gown would disband way faster if not for his "lets chill and be friends" negotiation skill.

The thing with the princess is that she is a massive psychopath, she usually maintain a proper princess image, almost saintly actually, so when she lets out her psychotic expressions it scares the hell out of people, and if I remember right, only her brother and the marquis know her true self...
I read her more as both a genius and autistic without an ability to empathize with other human beings. So more of a sociopath. This is why she has to practice her facial expressions because she's always hiding her true self.

Clarification for Evileye: she is a vampire, this was explained in the books when she told Climb not to give up his Humanity for power. She keeps it a secret, which is why she wears her mask, and I believe the only person she's told is her leader.
Btw, I think Ains 2 greatest traits are information gattering/learning (the dude have memory for every single thing), and great adaptability... so everything goes always according to his plans, even when not
That's literally how he fought in Yggdrassil too, he'd let himself get killed by an enemy, study every single skills and whatnots they have, then proceed to destroy them by countering every single action they take😂

Luke - The way the princess looks isn't meant to be scary, they're just trying to convey through her expression that she has a twisted personality that she's been hiding all along.

He was also suuuuper pissed off when Shalltear got mind-controlled. I think that's the only time in the whole series when the emotion suppressor had to be activated twice because he was that angry that it didn't fully take the first time.

Clarification time:
1) Evileye. Ok so I will be using some light novel information because it wasn’t shown in the anime. By this point we have learnt that Evileye is a vampire. It’s sort of hinted at in the anime where she tells climb “don’t throw away your humanity for power” and this episode where she says her heart stopped beating long ago.
Without going into too much detail, she is very old (couple centuries) but has a body of a child/teenager.
A person’s ancestry (species) determines their power detailed in point 2.
2) Ancestry and power. In the game yggdrasil players and NPC could only put a certain amount of levels into class levels and the rest had to be put into Ancestry (race) levels.
Ancestry levels determined how good of a species you were and unlocked characteristics for your body, such as Shalltear’s fingernails’ durability. That likely came from an ancestry level. We also know that Cocytus got his extra arms from ancestry (race) levels.
The new worlders tend to be quite low level, so they can’t afford to put their limited levels into their ancestry (race) and instead put them in their classes.
Some people call this race, but I prefer PF2e approach of calling it ancestry because it’s more inclusive term.
Basically, if you had 5 levels, would you rather be a level 5 human or a level 5 warrior?
3) Ancestry example. At the end of each of the Light Novels we get some stat pages of a few characters. These pages only offer a small glimpse and not all of it is explained. Some details are missing.
In Light Novel 1 we get Momonga’s stats. We learn he had 100 levels, 40 levels are dedicated to ancestry (race) levels and 60 to class levels. We learn he is 15th level skeleton mage, 10th level Elder lich, 5th level Overlord, 10th level Necromancer and 10th level Overlord. The remaining 50 levels are unaccounted for.
4) Evileye and Momonga. I will keep this brief. There is a side story (non canon. It’s a what if story, written by the author) detailing Evileye in a lot more detail.
Without spoiling it, Evileye really likes the knight in shining armour trope. She goes out of her way to listen to bards sing songs of that.
However, Evileye is one of the strongest Adventurers of the kingdom so it’s pretty dam hard for her to find a knight to save her. She basically wanted to be a princess who was rescued by a knight in shining armour and had pretty much given up on that dream. Until Momonga stepped in.
5) Side note: ok so this comes with the disclaimer that this is a fan theory and has not been officially confirmed.
Some people believe that the Overlord ancestry (race) that Momonga has causes undead to see him in a more favourable way. We know learn that the skeletons in the graveyard didn’t attack him because he was undead.
Some people believe that Evileye saw him in a more favourable way unconsciously because of that. This is a fan theory, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Ainz is so brilliant even he himself can't figure out his own plans.
The best part about Climb kicking Succulent in the bean bag is Climb has a metal boot on and Succulent only had a maid outfit and panties as a defense.

I just recently saw a meme regarding Sebas's fight with Zero that i found pretty good. He goes "Luckily I was just a tiny bit stronger" then they put a galaxy between his fingers tips.

On top of the loyalty to Nazerick in general and her disgust of humans, the pleiades battle maids are sisters. She just heard Evil Eye confess to attempted murder on her family, it's a wonder she remained as calm as she did.
Princess Renner is definitely human. she has classes in Genius and Actress. her facade as princess is there to avoid freaking out people in her vicinity

They also talked I don't remember if it was in season one with the Shalltear event or if it was in season two about a Vampire princess that caused the demise of her kingdom which earned her the nickname Landfall.
Just so you know, Demiurge, Albedo and Pandora's Actor are the most intelligent people in Ainz's gang. So whenever Ainz does something without any plan, They just assume that he has some masterplan behind it and brainstorm what it could be, which ends up them connecting everything Ains says or does to an actual mastermind planning. Later Ainz also just goes along with it. Its so funny everytime it happens 😂😂
You're right, this is all Demiurge's plan and Ains has no idea what's going on. But Demi thinks Ainz is playing 60D chess and expects him to know and understand the plan without having to tell him. Thankfully, the next episode explains everything for us.
I love how the most of the time Ainz' evil plots involve solving problems he started, he's like the perfect politician playing both sides, only you can relate to him more ironically.
Demi and albado both make plans that are built from assumptions of what Ainz would want. Ainz rarely knows the details and gets buffled by where the concepts come from. he is in constant fear that if the floors guardians realise who he really is, they would kill him or leave him to be alone

People often say that Momonga's (Ainz') Luck stat was at max before the transfer to this world. It seems to explain how things always go his way, even when he has no idea what's going on.
Sebas telling Climb that'll he'll return the favor some day, to hear that again after knowing what happens at the end of S4, really makes me wonder what's to come.

Evileye is one of my favorite characters in Overlord, probably my favorite outside of Ains himself. She doesn't match up in strength to the guardians, but she does reach up to the lower level battle maids.
There is also a spinoff novel where Momonga enters the new world completely alone at a much earlier point in time than the true continuity. He saves Evileye when she is young, and they become true comrades who adventure and form a guild together.

Also, the firewall (flames of Gehenna) is a boosting spell. I don't think it's ever mentioned in the anime, if it is my bad and please forgive me, but it boosts demons within its borders. So it doesn't deal direct damage but it still does stuff other than look cool, which is also does.
Two important things to always remember in Overlord.
1) The intelligent leading Nazarick NPCs have massive and complex plans they are enacting.
2) Ainz is a not-very-intelligent human who is faking being a super genius, so a running joke is him trying to get the NPCs (especially Albedo and Demiurge) to explain their complex plans to him, mostly failing, and then seeing him blindly interfere in illogical ways which somehow work and get the NPCs to see him as an actual genius.
Demiurge absolutely has a plan. Ainz does not. You were correct when you suspected Ainz was truly interfering with his own allies' plans randomly.

"Demiurge" is a figure in Gnosticism that created the material world, but still a mere subordinate of higher being. Because the physical realm is full of impurity, some sources say the Demiurge, as it's creator, is malevolent.
And "Jaldabaoth" is said to be another name for the Demiurge.
"Gehenna" is a valley in Jerusalem where kings performed sacrifices by fire. Many of Demiurge's skills have religious connotations to them. Which is why the Flames of Gehenna skill he used will serve as his killing field within the city. Inside the flames, demonic races will receive many different kinds of beneficial stat bonuses, etc.
