How I Made Ancient Battles... in Blender! (Breakdown)

- In this breakdown video, I go over the techniques and workflows of building one of the biggest battle shots for my Heroes of Bronze shortfilm.
From deconstructing the environment, to showing my character assets, Rokoko mocap recording, compositing, and more - I go over every single element that it consisted of.
This is not a step-by-step tutorial, rather a breakdown - but if you have any questions, or if you want me to break down a specific shot or technique in the future, definitely let me know in the comments! :-)

The way your organize your large complex scenes is really ingenius, thanks for the insight!
Thank you 🙏😊
I deeply admire all your work and dedication. You're awesome! Keep up the gold work!🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Always enjoying at the same time learning extremely a lot from you. Keep on Breaking the scenes on this end I will keep on building from what you break. Thanks Martin
Thank you for the breakdown.. That motion blur trick will certainly be handy!
These breakdown videos are always amazing, packed with a lot of tips and tricks! 🔥
Glad you like them!
these are really eye-opening, I'll definitely be employing some of your methods! Thanks!
Continue to do the great work, 3D art has always provided a great escape to so many of us and to have these videos of yours has provided valuable in excelling my knowledge and many others. Appreciate the video
Thank you very much! Appreciate the comment :-))
Great explanation as always 😊 keep up your great work 👌
Incredible, loved that cube - tracking tip :)
Haha, its basically a failure to find a more streamlined B3D->AAE import option, but Ive been using it for years 😀
Thank you very much for your generosity in sharing such valuable information! Greetings!!!
My pleasure!
great video thank you! I use iclone for my Rokoko clean up and its amazing!!
It is, one of the best purchases I've made!
CPU rendering this scene would have taken ages!!
so good
I think it might be an add-on that adds the export>after effects as jsx, but I found it worked perfectly once you set the scale at 10 instead of 100 in the jsx export settings. With some empties I think it's the fastest way to place 3d layers exactly where you want in Ae in one click with the 3d cursor in blender, just copy pasting the position value once in Ae.
Do you know the name pls?
This is so mind blowing! I want to use a clip from the battle scene (about 1-2 sec) in my book trailer that I am trying to put together. Can you please tell how can I do that (i.e. what permissions etc will I require)? Thank you!
Thank you, but sorry, since I use these to promote my own historical fiction, I don’t want the shots used for other stories, hope you understand…
Completely understand. Thank you for the great work!
high level
Can you give a step to step tutorial for this??
Great insight video! Thanks so much for sharing... just one question, why adding weapons and armor directly in Blender and not bring them from iClone, along the character?
I made my own weapon and armor in Blender, and I put together my scenes in Blender. Therefore, I wanted it to put everything together there, importing to iClone would be redundant. :-)
Pls can you do a step by step tutorial
Could you create something and pay for it, be it an army with other soldiers in my style?
Great job..and I will try to work on the same mechanism, but I will replace the blender with an unreal engine....CAN I ?
AND What is your opinion and comments?
Oh yes, definitely, you can, but I have no experience with Unreal. But it is very popular and a good choice of a software to learn.
I notice hair gets messed up when I transfer my character to Blender. The strands look like snapped lines instead of smooth curves like in iClone. Any way I could fix that?
2-3 years time.
Adobe A.I. filmaker : Prompt- spartan battlefield, camera surging through bloody crowd, dust particles, embers and light flares in the style of ray harryausen..
so cool
BlenderAE - the fastest way to export track data from blender as ae script (.jsx)
I don't know why your videos get this much low views! For me, your videos worth getting millions of views🥲❤🔥❤🔥
Appreciate that, I must be doing something wrong 🙈
@@MartinKlekner Noo!!You are doing excellent with your videos!!!🔥I learnt a lot from your videos❤️
@@rashmikadushan6499 So glas to hear 😊 You can share this one or any other to help spread the channel 🙏😊
UA-cam algorithm prefers stupid, clickbait titles, low value videos rather than quality videos which are becoming rarer on UA-cam nowdays.
I was literally wondering how this was free
