thanks! trying out all the new features u mentioned, great way to explain the way the retrace works. I will be watching more! plus I think u and I have similar style interests so it will be great to learn from you. thanks much keep it up!

I agree....very mellow voice. You are well prepared, cover a lot, not too fast. Background music could be a little less volume, but still can understand you very well. Great teacher! I learned a lot in just the 7 min. Thanks!!! 😉👍
bro, tysm for all your info on EEVEE and now EEVEE next, I've been wanting to learn how to use it cause I feel it's just as valid to use as cycles so long as you know how to use it. your last video and this one are perfect introductions into it, so thank you again! one question I do have is how you made that handheld feeling movement to the camera on your quick render with your emission cubes and the extruded in cube? it looked really good lol. anyway, would love to see more tips and tricks, and can't wait to see updates on your short film, your trailer looked gorgeous! keep up the good work mate!
Thank you! I will make a video about camera movement, probably my next video. I will remake and re-render an old first person horror animation I made with realistic camera movements, and I’ll show you how I do it
Going into the Film settings and turning on + increasing the overscan feature can be really useful as well, when the limiting screen-space nature of the GI becomes noticable. It basically just computes and renders a certain amount over the camera border which can be really useful if reflections seem to be cut off or shadows shift and disappear.
I couldn’t find an actual date on their website but it says something about the next few weeks. It’ll be out soon, but you can go ahead and use the beta version until then. It’s fairly stable
The biggest problem of Global Illumination is the rendering of light sources that are only in front of the camera, everything behind it does not work. This problem could be solved by baking the light. But I couldn't find such a feature in EEVEE Next. Or, аm I wrong?
There’s a light baking system in eevee next similar to the one in legacy eevee. It used to be called irradiance volume, now it’s just volume. But I haven’t tried it out yet
@@void_visuals_ Glad to hear good news. I'll check what I can do. But I hope you will also make a video about it, because there are not many videos about it now.
It's not global illumination problem indeed, because Eevee next uses( Screen Space Global Illumination), so it just shows the light bounces through the camera not the world space like Cycles for example because it's using path tracing😅
Does anyone else think this release is unstable? It looks pretty decent in the viewport, but I get some bugs with the lighting in the renders like flickering.
@subhanamjad9148 I made a community post about my absence lol I was jobless when I started this channel and shortly after posting my last video I got a job as a 3D artist and animator for another UA-cam channel and that was taking up 105% of my time. So last month I was finally able to make a much needed PC upgrade so now I have more free time that I’m not wasting on rendering. And I’m already wrapping up pre production on my next video and it’s going to be special! It’ll be all about cinematography and how to apply its real life concepts in Blender
switch to cycles. eevee next is so slow and still has artefacts all over the place. legacy eevee is much faster, and good enough for its use: the viewport.
@@nm-com I was using cycles only for like 2 years, now I switched to Eevee and I’m getting really good results, especially with Eevee next which is not slow at all for me. Also I’m getting no artifacts. And as for its use, it’s called a render engine, so I’ll keep rendering with it lol it looks great, I don’t see why not use it

Thanks so much for this video. I am just about to jump into EEVEE NEXT after spending all my short time in Blender in Cycles. Liked and Subbed!

Awesome Video ❤
great vid, many thanks
I'm using 2.9 but might update. this looks pretty AWESOME
super and easy sir
Just two more days till the official release!
It's still limited by the screen space solution. However the irradiance volume is blazingly fast so it will help.
EEVEE - 💪
Do you know how i can make the ambient occlusion of the raytracing the same, because when I move the camera the ambient occlusion looks different.

Newbie query: If you use EEVEE raytracing then do you still need light probes?
Nope, like I showed it in the video, it’s all realtime now.

But baking is not a good idea for any animated thing in the scene. Still, amazing progress on EEVEE.
@@VentelHD But if static meshes are baked and animated objects are rendered with Global Illumination, it can become cheap high quality.

How to make glass in new Eevee. There's no screen space reflection and blend mode.
Just mix a glass bsdf with a transparent bsdf with the mix shader node, then turn on ray traced transmission in the material properties ;)
