Hey, I’m a BMW Product Specialist in North America. Here are a few things that could make the bike feel weird for you. Make sure the wheels are properly balanced and on factory spec pressures Make sure all suspension components and frame components are properly torqued. Isn't it stock suspension tho'? He talked about changing it for something non-stock. The dealer also replaced it under warranty, which I'm assuming they wouldn't do, if it wasn't OEM.
I would say the tire became out of balance by another cause, 2 rear shocks leaking would cause the tire to bounce and become out of balance, why did no one check the tire balance on the old tire? I believe your static sag is off or was off and the rear shocks caused the rear tire to go bad. BUT there is something else wrong and I would go through rebound and damping on the front then snap a line on the floor and check front to rear alignment. I think and it is just a guess> your alignment from front to rear is off causing the geometry from front to rear to be off and the rear is offset from the front making the rear trying to play catchup with the front> gives you feed back. another thing to check is rake and trail on the front. The bike has an issue with geometry that is why the rear is blowing shocks. Putting a new tire on is only a bandaid. Talk to some crew chiefs that have raced bikes for years. You have connections
Listening to the RPM warble, you've got an out-of-round wheel. Or tire. It's rare but it happens. Glad you got it fixed. And these bad boys are hard on clutches, too.
called this, bmws are great but not reliable! AND D, a pleasant reminder that better help is almost a scam. Their "therapists" aren't certified. There have been a lot of cases of poor service against them, with multiple UA-camrs also coming out against them. Check the alignment of the sprockets, check the chain for stretch, check the pitch of the sprockets, drive and driven, swing arm bearings. Just a thought......😊
Literally had a similar issue on my s1kr. As soon as i changed the tire, issue was gone. Had to go through and diagnose everything. Very frustrating. Glad you figured it out
Check for stuck links and excessive play in the chain components. On a bike this new unless you got the chain soaking wet and let it rust it's probably not the issue, however, I just changed the chain on my bike after all kinds of weather and commuting and track days and it cured my vibration and oscillating problem I had. My bike is butter smooth now and my issue was gradual so I didn't take it into account until it got really bad.
Same thing was happening to my H2 and Travis swapped out the rear hub. I'd check that or maybe if you hit a pothole too hard the rim itself is no longer circular. Easy way to test that is put it on a jack stand and set a fixed point on the rim to see if the rim moves out of the fixed point when you rotate it.
Get the over suspension that Jake had on the 765 you test rode. It works as a counter weight to the wheel chatter/vibrations and cancels it out. hhrperformance oversuspension
Balance the wheel WITHOUT the tire on it....make sure its not the rim (check it and make sure its not out of true (betting this is the issue..should be easy to check.)....other than that then its the swingarm bearing.... IMHO...
Also, back in the day my friend did a chain and spocket conversion on a 600cc yammie putting a 520 chain/sprocket on it which caused vibrations. On my 05 GSXR 1k I had I changed the front sprocket from stock to 1 tooth down for drag racing. The stock sprocket had rubber on it to help with vibrations and smoothness. The after market sprocket was way more clatchy and ruff and there was a lot of more vibration. Hate to see you ditch it for something that I am sure is an easy fix.
Sell it, & get the RR-R!!! Almost the same as far as performance goes, from what I’ve been seeing between the BMW and Honda! I think you won’t regret it! Plus, you still have the H2 & the R1! Will you really be missing out on anything, besides how beautiful Mona looks and sounds? Especially when you start losing confidence in riding your favorite bike. Safety is always priority #1! I say get the RR-R in your stable bro! It’s gonna pay off well
Well well. Lots of people telling you to sell. But do they got the same bike since they know that Honda and BMW is almost the same? Thats the biggest BS ever. I got the M1000RR myself with a ton of mods and tune. Had some chattering, but that came on my bike after 2000km. Had the bike at the shop and they found out the chain had a 20mm+ stretch. I upgradet the sprocket and gears and went with a 520 racing chain instead and now the bike is way more responsive and way faster in the low end. It has meant that I have to clean and lube the chain more often but.. its a carbon bike so I do that anyways. Less rotating mass now and less vibrations. Sure id love to also have a Honda, ridden both of them, but the leg positioning while riding for a taller rider is less agressive and better on the BMW. Electronic wise, the BMW is still far better when it comes to comfort solutions or rider assist. But both bikes are unique for what they are. Its simple, i do not expect BMW to make a bike that feels like a Honda or another japanese bike. That would be like Harley making a bike feeling like a triumph. The brands just do not want their bikes to feel exactly like their competition. Then it would be no point or make no sense. Be patient with the bike, and do the right upgrades and enjoy it! In the meantime put the ride time into the other bikes. After all we love to see you on all your bikes anyways. And btw business wise, if you ever want to work with the brand again, keep the critisism constructive and polite. Cause no brand that gets pissed on in these types of UA-cam Channel videos will do you any extra favors. Dont think that will be any issues for you and your channel. It is strictly meant as a pointer for the people commenting these videos. When I grew up I learned that you never shit or piss where you sleep or where you eat. People got to undestand that this is one of your incomes. Nothing to get played with. Have a nice one, love your videos.
World wide ceramic bearing if you haven’t changed the bearing yet. Check the inside of the wheel for any deformations (common when street riding carbon wheels), check to see if the sprocket is on straight if it was torqued on improperly then it could have a wobble that could cause the chattering, check the caliper piston as well. If it’s sticking (frozen) and it’s pressing on the rotor it could be fighting the wheel. It’s hard to diagnose what it could be without being there or riding the bike but those are just something’s to think about
I think you said happens at all speeds but does it get worse when you accelerate, slow down, constant speed. Any situations when it’s not happening? I don’t think it would be suspension setup personally. Anyone you trust to ride your bike that’s a lot lighter that can duplicate issue and to your point try testing another M1000RR
I know your pain. When you do everything under the sun to fix it and months later you'll find it was something super simple after tons of money and frustration. Hope you get it fixed
I would check the rear axle. It might be a lil bent or a high or low spot on the shaft. It has to come out every time the tire comes off so I would take it out roll it on a table see if it does anything weird. I used to run the Firestone u passed at the end of the video lol. My friend Kyle still works there as a tech if u ever need anything go talk to him. He know Travis if you want to ask about him.
Only thing I can think of is maybe one of the bearing either for the rear shock or swing arm is bad. Or if you didn’t, you can get both sides of the rear tire balanced
For what it's worth, I just helped a friend of mine with a vibration on the back and what we found out was in that particularly bike the chain has to be like 3mm tighter than what the manual says and surprisingly the vibration is gone. God knows why, we also check for sprocket specs torque just in case but everything was ok. Good luck

I remember a similar problems on the previous gen s1000rr because of the electonic suspension and for racing use had to be replaced because that would shake like crazy leaving turns, bmw has a problem with suspensions both front and rear, that sure is uncommon, but maybe the shock is having some kind of leak of gas not oil it is pretty messy to deal with bmw bikes, there is usually some kind of issue with them
ride adobo motos aprillia 🤣, also its really noticable when you hit the powerband.... so im nit sure if thats linked to suspension or not it could be a minor alignment issue or like you said somwthing so simple that is being overlooked
ZX-10RR my man! More uncommon than the Honda RR-R and holds the record for liter bike Horsepower from Brock's at nearly 215Whp on MR12. Benefits of the Kawi FULL Titanium system from the factory, even the headers, easy to remove CAT because Kawi knows their buyers, Marchesini forged wheels, cruise control AND heated grips! Not to mention way more comfortable than the RR-R. Kawi also probably has the best OEM tuning catalogue with a whole slew of engine internals and track parts. If you don't like the green just wrap it!
@@6misery Any reason for this very informative reaction? Kawi literally copied the BMW playbook with the new generation ZX-10 but has a much more powerful engine and far larger and cheaper aftermarket collection. I don't think you know how good the RR is, it's a $31K bike and rivals the V4S SP2 with the race Tune on regular 93 Octane with a basic tune and slip on. A decat + M4 Slip-on + high flow filter usually gets around 199-204whp depending on the tuner that's like 220+ at the crank.
I mean D is coming from a BMW which has the most "boring" liter bike engine out there. Boring really just means smooth and composed without any quirkiness which some people really love. S1K's feel like rocket ships because of that, you'll be going 100+ and won't even feel like it and remember he's considering a CBR1000RR-R any standard i4 liter bike gets labeled "boring" nowadays because we have the crossplane from Yamaha and the V4's from Aprilia and Ducati which all rumble and bark. A ZX-10RR will have way more character than the M1000RR but still have all the creature comforts D has likely grown to love unlike the others. Trust me cruise control is a game changer on a liter bike! It also has completely redone internals that are ready for tuning and more power unlike the blown M1 and RR-R you see. Hell both 44Teeth AND Yammienoob had their bone stock RR-R's explode and stop working. The Yammienoob instance was pretty infamous because they caught it all perfectly on camera because Yam was behind Spite who was riding it when it happened. As for 44Teeth it was in their Isle of Man liter bike comparison video from a few years back. I think the poor guy is looking for a new bike that won't be plagued with issues. The M1K and RR-R are both dream bikes but issue free they definitely aren't.
Ohlins! My favorite bike on the channel by far and I’m a Ducati guy, or I used to be. I bought a M after watching your vids. The stock shock is the longest shock I’ve ever seen on a sportbike. I’m sure Tampa Bay Cycles looked at the swingarm and wheel bearings. It may be worth throwing another wheel on the back to see if it’s any different.
That's sucks man. I really hope you get it figured out. Its funny you mentioned how slippery a new tire is. I just did a track day at barber on new tires and it absolutely downpoured to boot. Scarey as hell.
you don't have to scrub those tires in.. the Michelin Power Cup 2 are ready to go as soon as you mount them.. but good vid, I hope the issue gets resolved.
I just have to commend you on promoting Better Help and talking about mental health. No one is immune to mental health issues. I’m from a generation that did NOT talk about mental health, and we suffered for it. I hope your generation appreciates the courage of people like you to bring this important issue to a forum that might otherwise overlook it. Kudos! And, of course, awesome bikes and content!
I can assure you that what you are experiencing is absolutely normal… All BMW motorcycles have a slight vibration either in the handlebars, the foot pegs or the rear wheel. Chain and sprocket adjustment is very crucial to minimize what you are feeling. I recommend you go to a completely different dealership and test ride the exact same bike save yourself and aggravation. Once you can accept this slight vibration it actually gets a lot better as you put miles on the bike, I love your content, and I think you are absolutely one of the best on UA-cam. And always remember, my friend attitude is everything and that is where you shine. Thanks for all you do.Keep
I think you might be getting some rim resonance, but that is hard to measure. At the same time crank up the rebound dampening, that will keep it from bouncing UP as much. A soft rebound is hell on a chassis and the riders butt. Crank the rebound up until it NOTICEABLY slows down, then try it again.... like 3-4 clicks from maximum, then reduce from there. Do the same thing to the front as well. You want a VERY slow extension of any shock on that bike to absorb the rebound and any kind of rebound hop or resonance associated with bumps or tar strips. Your shocks and tire patch can oscillate 3-4 times from a single road imperfection. You won't see it, but you WILL feel it. Cranking up the Rebound dampening will help stop that. BOTH ends. You'll feel it in the rear, but both ends have to be stiffened equally for best performance and ride quality.
I had the same issue on my Superduke 1390 but in the front. Had new tires put on and the front end was bouncy at speed. Took the wheel off and turns out it was installed WAY out of balance. Balanced the wheel/tire and problem solved. Make sure your rear wheel/tire is balanced. I used a gravity method nothing digital when balancing by mechanics who prep race bikes. ✌🏼
I'm working in a tire shop, and I would recommend trying a different rear wheel. I know those carbon wheels are expensive, but it's a rotating part as well which can cause massive vibrations.
The only thing i can think of is like bushings, bolt and nut spacers, anything that has those on the rear end of the bike check it, anything that will make it vibrate or chatter up down are usual cause by worn out bushings or bolt or nut spacers or bearings maybe. Keep riding safe D!!! More power to your channel
Not sure how much aftermarket you have on in the rear but you may just need to reset and go to OEM parts and specs. Add a component back each time and see if you can pinpoint it. There's a possibility too if you have less bushing/dampening it's just increasing your NVH. Does the rear wheel also have like a shock absorber in the hub? I know on my R6 there are rubber bushings to help with the drive harshness and shock to the rear wheel from the chain. I've only been around bikes a couple years but like to wrench where I can. I'm sure your tech is phenomenal though.
If the problem began to occur when you changed out the rear shock then it may be a faulty rear shock that was installed. Especially if you are experiencing a “chatter” even after the suspension tune. Sounds like the shock is not dampening that rear wheel. I’d try to see if you can have the shop swap it with a different one.
try to look at your rear wheel or tire , chain is aftermarket try to put back the factory one , your sprocket , these are the main ones to checkout first
By the way, if you have chattering in the rear end in the swing arm, I mean other than your tire being out of balance or your chain or your sprockets doing something weird it’s pretty much your swing arm, bushings or your shock. It shouldn’t be complicated.
I ended up getting a 2024 M1000RR on last Saturday...once I was in the showroom, saw it, sat on it, I forgot all about any video's of guys reporting problems with thiers.>LOLZ>..and now I am backtracking and praying I didnt make a mistake!! LOLZ. I am slowly chewing away miles trying to get to the 630 mile mark to get the NANNY Tune off this thing and then gotta decide how many miles I go before I tune it and pray the motor has zero issues. I have seen a few now where they were denied warranty due to a tune....(S and M's combined, not just Manny and CaliMoto). Hope. you get this all sorted brudda!! Seeing 650Ibs I am thinking I am gonna go with the Arrow exhaust even though the Akra may make more power...
My 1st thought was the bad suspension initially caused uneven wear on the rubber. But now that it's a new tire and still doing it, why not just go with another tire all together? You can always throw those tires on your R1 or w/e when its time for new rubber.
Try coasting in neutral and see if it persists. Sounds to me like the motor is twitchy and is causing vibrations back through the frame etc. maybe the carbon fiber is resonating a bit as well. I wonder if you had a mellow fuel map on the bike if it would calm the vibrations. maybe the chain is too tight and isn't helping the issue. Try a different rear tire? maybe the rear tread is making it bad.
So just going based off experience with cars. Since you already changed the tire, I’d see if the rear wheel is out of round at all or out of balance. Which I’m sure if he changed the tire, he made sure it was balanced. Could be either sprocket or the chain having a “kinked” link or two. If all that is good, only other thing I could think of is wheel bearing or rotor. Hopefully you can get it sorted out!!
You check the suspension, chain , tyres what about the Rim ? Seems like it’s at a certain speed so maybe speed Balancing should be the next step? Hope you figure it out soon and keep up the great content!!
Unfortunate to see you having problems with your gorgeous bike D! I hope everything goes well and you get back out on the road soon ! Fastlane Gang bayyybeeee ❤ stay positive 🙏
I like this video. It shows the entire ownership of a bike. I just got my first bike and realized I didn’t know the proper way to wash it. These technical videos are great man. 👏
was the bad tire michelin? i installed a new tire last week and instantly got a vibration now. i put on the new michelin power 6, they only been out few months.
It is a Michelin. Power Cup 2 to be exact. I loved having it on my S1000RR. Went to the Power 5s (6 weren't out yet) for longevity but I'll probably go back once these wear. I'll just have to buy a rear tire every riding season because they only last about 3,000 mi
My bike used to do that, back wheel vibrating,i adjusted the chain slack with me on the bike and that solved the problem .I am 210lb ,the bike squated to much and the chain was too tight.I hope this can help you !
IMHO, just swap the whole rear swing arm assembly (swing arm, chain, sprocket, rear tire+rim, rear shock, etc) with another bike, and test ride if it happens again.. this is just to isolate where the chattering comes from, instead of spending cash, try and error replacing parts.. might cost a bit in labor, but it will helps to narrow down and save time when troubleshooting it..
It might be related to the carbon rear wheel that the M1K comes stock with. The carbon ThyssenKrupp wheels on the S1K M‘s and M1K‘s have caused all types of issues before so I’d recommend swapping them out for the forged aluminum S1K wheels, just to test it out. A hairline crack, damage on the inside or the axle hub, you won’t be able to see when it’s on the bike
Possible slight bent in the countershaft? That could cause differences in chain tension as the bike rolls that the rider would feel as a vibration that changes with speed. It could also wear sprockets in an oval pattern if it's severe enough.
Maybe check balance on the rear sprocket I guess it wouldn’t make a big deal with the wheel dampeners but they usually don’t balance a tire with a sprocket on
Maybe check the chassis, check wheel alignment,if it keeps blowing rear shocks, it maybe, and hate to say it. But it could be a manufacturing fault. Not quite right wheel.swap a swing arm over to check yours is good. Good luck
So many M1000R & RR issues - tempted to add one to my collection alongside my V4S but nervous about all the feedback. Might be better to get an S1000RR and mod it instead.
Is it electric rear suspension? Dont know too much about the M1K. But if its electric then the problem isnt with your mechanical components, its the electrical system. Try manipulating the wheelie control a bit just to see the change
Try swopping out the back rim. It might be not perfectly circular anymore, try even using a good alloy rim, that is if BMW approves that.. just for testing, a slight deformation in the rim can cause vibrations so bad they can take out the shock. Then if it doesn't shake with a different rime, replace your back carbon rim. Good luck D, & hope you get well soon.
you are literally one of my idols i look up to, your the reason i love motorcycles and am currently saving to purchase one and hopefully meet you here in texas!!
Had Dunlop Q3s do this on the front. Also, check to see if the chain is lined up straight with a front sprocket, use a straight sprocket gauge. Could be bad front or rear sprockets. Who knows? I just thought I would throw that out there.
from what I’ve been seeing between the BMW and Honda! I think you won’t regret it! Plus, you still have the H2 & the R1! Will you really be missing out on anything, besides how beautiful Mona lo
shock absorber is most likely messed up, or there could be internal separation in the rim (partial) but you should be able to see that when you change the tire. Thats a tough one.
I agree, something small. I say even get the rear off the ground so suspension is free and see if you can shake it at all. I bet it's something very small causing it.
Keep trying. I think trying another M might be the right path to see if the m's are all like that? My S1k never had anything like that. I thought its suspension was fantastic.
If your rear shock isn't electronic (idk about the M1000rr), try adjusting compression and rebound all the way counterclockwise(adjustment screw/s). While you do that, count how many clicks it is as well that way you can revert it back to how they set it up for you last. @FastLaneD
I had a weird chatter/vibration on my ducati 150 miles out of the factory and it turned out to be "uneven wear" on the chain. They replaced it under warranty (which is not normally done for a chain) seeing as it obviously wasn't anything I had done to cause it. Hand rolling the bike forward the chain would tighten and loosen as it traveled through the sprocket.
I had a constant vibration and noise coming from my rear on my Honda CBR and I was convinced it was the sprockets... Changed things and it was still there. Then we checked out the rear wheel bearings and OMG, the bearings were literally broken in pieces back there. Bike rode okayish and I could still send it.. But once they changed the rear wheel bearings, and I got the bike back, it rode better than it ever did before! So maybe its worth opening up and having a look to see the how the bearings are doing... Hope you get it sorted. By the way Lance Isaacs is a great superbike racing legend from where I'm from. He used to race with my cousin in the national superbike championship in SA back in the day :)
Just a thought. Are the wheels balanced ? Mine turned up with no balance weights. Some wheels can be way out of whack. Sometimes if you feel it bad at the back the issue could be caused by something up front or vice versa..
Not all to sure what the dealer did do and check. I know what you told/showed. Got a new rear shock, set up the suspension, new tire including balancing I assume. Hence it's still occurs, I guess with the new tire they did check the alignment in the back. That it's similar on both sides so your tire is straight and the chain is straight as well. First thing that comes in my mind. It may loosened up while riding for example and is slightly adjusted the chain/tire being straight.
I'm far from an expert but it definitely sound like something related to chain/sprocket/wheel. Just in the way you can literally hear it pulsating through the exhaust note, sounds like it's some sort of rotational mass. Maybe brakes? You said they were aftermarket. These bikes are engineered at such a high level, the slightest change in weight can throw off the balance of everything. I would start by focusing on anything that's not OEM bone stock components. Hope you're able to figure it out, you could really see how much you enjoyed the bike when you first started your ride before it started doing it again. I would investigate anything aftermarket and as you already said, try to talk to as many fellow M1000RR owners as you can.
I think the problem could be your traction / dynamic control cutting in and out rapidly. This would align with your evidence that the effect was reduced when you changed the tyre, but, the problem is not the tyre, only that the tyre is part of the system, so changing it, has an effect. So, If I was you, I would get them to have a look at the whole dynamic control system and try to diagnose what isn't working as it should. I think something is causing the bike to cut and resume power really quickly, giving you that judder sensation.
Just to add, if you roll down a hill or coast the bike, is the judder still there? Try switching off the bike while coasting, is the judder still there?
Do you think it’s the sprocket? I was watching a video that mentioned the rubber jugger dampers can get worn after a while which keeps the sprocket from ripping out of the wheel. It from factory allows 3mm of play but if they’re worn it could cause a lot more play. Did they look into that?
Yeah I know it isn't cheap but I would really try a different brand tire. Maybe they have a rim that has a different rubber you could just throw on for a quick rip. Just finished watching the rest of the video. Try a different brand tire. the tread looks like that could be the reason. I noticed that all of your other bikes have different tires then this bike. Try lowering the rear tire pressure 5-10psi and take it for a quick rip. see if it calms down
Hey, I’m a BMW Product Specialist in North America. Here are a few things that could make the bike feel weird for you.
Make sure the wheels are properly balanced and on factory spec pressures
Make sure all suspension components and frame components are properly torqued. It’s possible the front end could cause the rear to feel weird. This was the fix for my M1000RR feeling too stiff in the rear, the front was too stiff.

Isn't it stock suspension tho'? He talked about changing it for something non-stock.
The dealer also replaced it under warranty, which I'm assuming they wouldn't do, if it wasn't OEM.
It’s still got the OEM suspension on it 🤘🏾 #FastLaneGang 🏁

Check the rim.. something in the geometry may be slightly off
Check the alignment of the sprockets, check the chain for stretch, check the pitch of the sprockets, drive and driven, swing arm bearings.
You are correct to make sure chain sprockets are lined up to each other and tires are balanced.
It’s gonna pay off well
Probably have a lot less problems with the Honda also. Nobody should have to deal with these problems with a $40,000 Motorcycle
It’s hard to diagnose what it could be without being there or riding the bike but those are just something’s to think about
Get the rear wheel balanced, check bearing.
We did both! Beau just forgot to include it on that list…all of that is good tho 🤘🏾 #FastLaneGang 🏁
@@Topendzits a bmw thing...lots of guys have the issue, some just live with it
@@FastLaneD Is it worth trying a different rear rim? Maybe there is a defect in yours which you are feeling.
Yeah its probably a wheel / tyre issue - swap out the wheel + tyre and then see what's what before you decide on a big suspension job.
Only thing I can think of is maybe one of the bearing either for the rear shock or swing arm is bad. Or if you didn’t, you can get both sides of the rear tire balanced
Good point. Many mechanics are quick to say a bearing is good without loading it during a bench test. Get some load on it and issues spring up.
Good luck
Florida got you looking real moist in the face all the time with the humidity fam 😅 Hard for me not to glisten too.. humidity was enough for me to say no to FL. Duc > BMW
I noticed that also
ZX-10RR my man!
Hell nah
@@6misery Any reason for this very informative reaction? Kawi literally copied the BMW playbook with the new generation ZX-10 but has a much more powerful engine and far larger and cheaper aftermarket collection.
I don't think you know how good the RR is, it's a $31K bike and rivals the V4S SP2 with the race Tune on regular 93 Octane with a basic tune and slip on. A decat + M4 Slip-on + high flow filter usually gets around 199-204whp depending on the tuner that's like 220+ at the crank.
kawasakis are so boring unless its the H2/ H2R or the new ZX4 RR .
That's hilarious but not true at all it's all a matter of opinion@@jls.mp4
Almost like riding on ice 😂 proceeds to do a buck 80 😂
That's sucks man. I really hope you get it figured out.
Its funny you mentioned how slippery a new tire is. I just did a track day at barber on new tires and it absolutely downpoured to boot. Scarey as hell.
could be too much preload tension on the spring causing harsh rebounds which would also explain it blowing the shock out all the time
you don't have to scrub those tires in.. the Michelin Power Cup 2 are ready to go as soon as you mount them.. but good vid, I hope the issue gets resolved.
I just have to commend you on promoting Better Help and talking about mental health. No one is immune to mental health issues. I’m from a generation that did NOT talk about mental health, and we suffered for it.
I know those carbon wheels are expensive, but it's a rotating part as well which can cause massive vibrations.
check your front tyre for air leaks or
Sell it, & get the RR-R
I start checking to see if the rear wheel needs balancing? And make sure everything on the rear end is torqued to spec.
Could possibly be your rotors or brake discs, could have gotten then really hot sometime.
it wouldnt do that riding normally and cause the shocks to fail and the whole bike to bounce 😂
I’m really thinking it could possibly be the wheel weights Try taking them off then see how it performs
Fastlane Gang bayyybeeee ❤ stay positive 🙏

was the bad tire michelin?
i installed a new tire last week and instantly got a vibration now.
i put on the new michelin power 6, they only been out few months.
It is a Michelin. Power Cup 2 to be exact. I loved having it on my S1000RR. Went to the Power 5s (6 weren't out yet) for longevity but I'll probably go back once these wear. I'll just have to buy a rear tire every riding season because they only last about 3,000 mi

Could be the chain and sprocket, cush drive, maybe swing arm bushings? Idk man im stumped too.. that's all I can think of
It might be related to the carbon rear wheel that the M1K comes stock with.
Maybe check balance on the rear sprocket I guess it wouldn’t make a big deal with the wheel dampeners but they usually don’t balance a tire with a sprocket on
The rims are carbon fiber right?? I’d check that out next!
time to upgrade to a triple R
Maybe check the
chassis, check wheel alignment,if it keeps blowing rear shocks, it maybe, and hate to say it.
Try manipulating the wheelie control a bit just to see the change
what about an after market suspension? Also could it be the electronics controlling the rear shock that may be is misbehaving?
Try swopping out the back rim. It might be not perfectly circular anymore, try even using a good alloy rim, that is if BMW approves that.. just for testing, a slight deformation in the rim can cause vibrations so bad they can take out the shock. Then if it doesn't shake with a different rime, replace your back carbon rim. Good luck D, & hope you get well soon.
you are literally one of my idols i look up to, your the reason i love motorcycles and am currently saving to purchase one and hopefully meet you here in texas!!
Bruuh a Busa is perfect for you gang
I bet it's something very small causing it.
maybe the rear wheel is slightly bent. makes sense that you changed out the tire and it's less vibrations
Keep trying. I think trying another M might be the right path to see if the m's are all like that? My S1k never had anything like that. I thought its suspension was fantastic.
ummm my stock 2017 gixxer calipers float.
As for your bike - maybe the chain has stretched spots and you feel that as it goes around the sprockets..?
Is the frame somehow cracked?
lol no
If your rear shock isn't electronic (idk about the M1000rr), try adjusting compression and rebound all the way counterclockwise(adjustment screw/s).
He used to race with my cousin in the national superbike championship in SA back in the day :)
what a beautiful bike bro i love it sad for this kind of problems hope it will get fixed soon
Did you have them spin the bare rim on a truing stand or a tire balancer to see if it's a bad carbon rim ?
Yup, maybe its that...
Check the rim to c if its balance and check it for wobble
Could be something with the electronics for the different rider modes. Like it can't figure out what mode to be in. 🤷♂️
Do you think it’s the sprocket? I was watching a video that mentioned the rubber jugger dampers can get worn after a while which keeps the sprocket from ripping out of the wheel. It from factory allows 3mm of play but if they’re worn it could cause a lot more play. Did they look into that?
Check the wheel bearings (the good old shake test). Maby put some ceramic wheel bearings in 🔥
Yeah I know it isn't cheap but I would really try a different brand tire.
