In this video I will be showing you how to re format your SD cards or other memory devices be able to be fully to connect to your MacBook with the USB-C HubPro.

i thought that this was a video about what to do if your SD card won't show up? The first thing he does is put an sD card into the slot and it shows up! Pointless showing how to format a cardf if the machine won't show the card!

My problem is that my Macbook pro card reader cannot read my SD card.
My issue was that my MacBook Air would not show my sd card via the reader. When I plugged the reader in a text box flashed up that I couldn't see what it said. So I recorded the screen and watched it back in slo mo - it was a box asking if I would like to connect the reader to my Mac but was flashing up so quickly and going that I couldn't see what it was saying.
The fix was for me to plug in the reader and immediately start pressing enter/return to hit the ALLOW button - after that to works every time.
Wow u know what this video really helped me a lot.. I was thinking about how I will solve this for couple of days and realized I need to check ytc and found ur video.. thank u.. hopefully I’ll be able to use my camera again and transfer videos and photos in my MacBook pro.. 😩😩😩

when I go into disk utility and select erase, i am not able to change the format to xfat and erase. it is set on ms-dos (fat) , what do i do?
my hard drive is already exfat
was working fine til last week then stopped
i"m using a mac air OS high sierra 120gb
my drive is 3tb with .8tb used from gameplays/movies
so i can't back it up necessarily w/o losing it all
since i'm guessing the only fix is to reformat it to something else and then back to exfat?
i've tried the terminal dot_clean - failed (the drive itself and videos)
tried multple video formats (mkv/mp4/avi) using handbrake - failed
even copied clips from the drive an tried to copy it back onto it but it would stop.
with that information, would my only solution be to purchase another hard drive? would suck but i've exhausted every other option i've seen

'19 MacBook Pro, GoPro 5 Black. Have used many terabytes of video footage over last year and a half. Always been able to put MicroSD in my Hyperdrive like yours in the video and play every video file directly from that. Just the other day I decided to delete my MicroSD cards from the MacBook Pro instead of doing so on my GoPro like I've only ever done. I've checked and they are done in exFAT. Now unless I save the video to computer, it will not play. Maybe for 3 seconds then stops and I get the dreaded "Disk not ejected properly" ! Along with a Finder window popup. I've even tried to reformat on GoPro camera but unless video is saved to computer, it will not work. Trying for 2 days to figure this mess out. Please help.

my and android phone forces me to remormat the micro sd card back... sucks... how do I get around that?
Blow in the Sd card slot and push it 4/5 the way in not all the way in it should pop up try a couple of times ,also power all the way down and try again it should finally pop up

My MicroSD cards are all in ExFAT format, still doesn't allow me to read any files. and the SD card displays as not mounted on Disk Utility. Does anyone face this problem?

I have a problem: my SD card isn't even recognized on my Mac, but when I insert it into the Windows computer, I can see it and edit the files. Does anyone have a solution for this? I specifically bought an ISY extension to have an SD card slot, but it's not being detected.

Nope - did not load in disk utility. To even try to see what the format is. Brand new MacBook Pro brand new company issued sand disk extreme to specifically purchased to process insta360 x3.
