  • Some footage of Tiffany singing at Bergen Mall in Paramus, New Jersey along with a short interview. I found this I think on youtube a few years ago but I can't seem to find it now so thought I would upload it for all to enjoy. It's the only video I've seen of her (although a very short segment) performing Danny, among a few other songs off her debut album.

    there was a radio interview with tiffany around 2000. she was promoting "the color of silence" and she talked about a funny incident in a LA supermarket where she was shopping and she had no make up on and her hair was all over the place. some guy approached her and said "you know, you kinda look like tiffany" well anyway the reason i brought that up was because I am that guy.

      I would had likely just said "thanks for your art" and looked for an entertaining facial expression. But we're older now and wisdom can dictate coulda shoulda woulda circumstance. Glad you had that luck though.

    Jetsons The Movie made me into a fan of Tiffany. She did three songs for that film called You And Me, Home And I Always Thought I'll See You Again. She also did the voice of Judy Jetson in the film. She is such an underrated singer and I love her a lot. She is right that her voice is a gift from God. She is really talented. Tiffany is no has-been. She doesn't deserve to be forgotten. It's good to know that she is still out there singing and doing what she was born to do.

    80s were a great time. I remember going away that summer to visit family and returning to hear how i missed seeing her at the bergen mall. It's funny cause that was the garbage mall of the three at the time. Now it's one of the better ones. I felt like i missed the biggest thing. New kids did the same couple years later. The girls went nuts.

    i remember listening to a radio station that was playing clip after clip off her first album and the dj was tearing it to shreds. after playing a clip of her version he'd then play a clip of the original. only one thing he stated sticks in my mind "People, this girl is nothing more than a pretty face making money on cover songs!" i dont recall this ever happening to any other artist. it's sad that when she's mentioned it's rarely because of her talent.

    I'm from Germany, but but i actually know the mall in Paramus. Spend a few months in northern New Jersey in the late 90s. IIRC it was down the route 17. I used to live in Mahwah. And going down to NYC you would pass it. Remember buying some CDs there. For some reason they wanted the home address, probably just the zip code to know where people come from in the surrounding. I gave them my german address and they went "WTF you came a loong way just for 2 CDs". i think they were being serious

      Yeah, this is true. I grow up in this area. I remember going to the Bergen Mall routinely with my mother/sisters. Back in the day we loved STERNS. It was an awesome store. Everyone we knew shopped @ STERNS and loved it. We were all unhappy the day the company closed its doors for good. Still, miss the store in fact. The 80's. Good times. As for how the mall is doing now, it's doing incredibly well. Century 21 moved into the STERNS building. Its the next best Century 21 next to one on Wall Street. Fantastic store, fantastic mall. I love it.

    @q1w2e3r4t5y6i8 7 років тому +1

    "She's in. She's today" Exactly...and I'm not saying this to praise her. The reason why she didn't find success in the 90's was because her audience outgrew her and moved on to the next product, and that's always been the problem with teen icons, and then there's that one kid who said that she was like Stevie Nicks. That's like comparing the Jonas Brothers to The Beatles. The only teen roles that I can think of at the top of the hat which are artistic and mirror actual real-life experiences are Marlon Brando's performance in "The Wild One", James Dean as Jim Stark in "Rebel Without a Cause" and his performance in "East of Eden", and Mickey Rourke's and Matt Dillon's performances in "Rumble Fish". Some of you will think that I brought motion pictures into this whole thing and therefore may believe that my examples are irrelevant, when factually it is totally pertinent to my argument.

    Wow... I grew up in Bergen County in the 1980s... went to all the Paramus Malls back then with my friends. Except... The Bergen Mall was known as the WORST and most dated mall, even back then it was a laugh compared to Paramus Park or Garden State Plaza. The Bergen Mall was stuck in 1975 until well after 2000 until it finally got totally rebuilt. Still sucks. But that's because Garden State Mall is right next door. Anyway, the Bergen Mall had this atrociously ugly water fountain, with square brown and canary-yellow tiles, if I recall. It was super loud, super ugg, and totally 70s. I miss it now, though. The lighting fixtures hung 20 feet from the ceiling and were wildly tacky and dated by the 80s. The kicker was 'The Basement'. There were cruddy little mom and pop shops, stores that obviously couldn't afford upstairs rent. And it showed. It was dark, dank, and dirty and musty in this basement. And they decided to give it this country western theme. Why? Who knows. RIP Bergen Mall.
    Oh... and the Shoprite across from it, with it's huge arch? Anyone remember that? I just remember it has a giant arch as some bizarre modern (for 1975) architectural highlight. But it succeeded at its goal of drawing your attention, so... Well, that's my quick trip down memory lane, as a guy born and raised in Northern Jersey.... and everyone knew the Bergen Mall. And they knew it was awful, even in 1987, as malls go.
