Did the blotter that the interviewer dropped before the show suddenly kick in at 2:11? He's babbling. Genesis' "that's an interesting question" is actually pretty gracious (and extremely lucid, which I'm starting to recognize is one of his/her characteristics).
The Soft Focus interviewer asks some fun questions on this clip. I particularily appreciate the audience reaction and interview interactions when Mel Gibson gets mixed into the conversation.
the interviewer was in three bands nation of uylesses(punk), make up(funk soul gospel), and weird war(punk psychadellic) he thinks punks should dress nice to confuse the establishment and he's a communist. dude's got an ego but either than that he's a nice guy.
Much better than the interview this guy did with Kevin Sheilds recently. Way to 'preppy and pretentious' for me... But he get's the cult heros, and get's them to talk. A Brian Linehan of the underground if you will. LOL
this comment is hilarious. artists are not the only people in the world who think. believe it or not, it's possible to affect the ways people think outside of the art world. and people frequently do -- people who legitimately GET what they're doing, not just little contrarian turds.
It makes it sad because you don't need to alienate yourself from society, and become such a radical in order to get your point across. I totally agree with what he is saying, however i disagree with the extremeties he has gone to. If he didn't change his body the way he did, and stayed the way he was born and spread his message to the world in that way, then more people would listen. Most of society thinks he's a lunatic and won't listen to a word outta his mouth.
The interviewer is having a difficult time forming a cohesive sentence and when he smiles, looks like a serious crack head. Quoting Mel Gibson is really sloppy for a Genesis P-Orridge interview, in my opinion. If you're going to bring up the occult, talk about A.O. Spare's paintings that Gen owns, or his affiliation with The Process.
Ian is the perfect interviewer. Intelligent and just prompting enough for the subject to give more than you imagine. Reminds me of John Robb a lot.
I think the interviewer did alright. He asked some interesting questions and made Genesis feel comfortable enough to answer them.
droppin the knowledge indeed go girl
3:06 That IS a really good question!!!
English is not My native language and I dont get they subs, can u explain me? Please
You never really know people - until you meet them ".
I love his comments on shopping for clothes.
Genesis seems so relaxed, and the Interviewer seems so tense, it generates a degree of dynamicism to the interview. Albeit a humorous one, hehe.

That shit about the aristocracy in England blew me
@0pine0tron6000 I swear if I hear the word aesthetics coming out of that interviewers mouth one more time....

Drivel
There are so many bad side effects than can come from cross species things such as Genesis advocates. He is very mistaken.
Sam
The interviewer is incompetent - nervous, fidgeting and using Paris Hilton vocabulary, like, way too much.
interviewer is not listening and is inarticulate
it's sad because it was part of his mid-life crisis. OBVIOUS mid-life crisis.
this interviewer is horrible...what a great missed opportunity for an incredible indepth interview...
