Rare Tiffany Interview @ Bergen Mall in Paramus, NJ
Переглядів 47 тис.14 років тому
Some footage of Tiffany singing at Bergen Mall in Paramus, New Jersey along with a short interview. I found this I think on youtube a few years ago but I can't seem to find it now so thought I would upload it for all to enjoy. It's the only video I've seen of her (although a very short segment) performing Danny, among a few other songs off her debut album.
I got to see Tiffany live in a small hotel garden venue in Hampshire UK a few days ago and she still hits every note. She was close enough to touch! I’m very lucky
80s were a great time. I remember going away that summer to visit family and returning to hear how i missed seeing her at the bergen mall. It's funny cause that was the garbage mall of the three at the time. Now it's one of the better ones. I felt like i missed the biggest thing. New kids did the same couple years later. The girls went nuts.

Does anyone know the place and date of the mall in the second feature?
I’ve never even heard of this mall or town.
I love Tiffany. I always have from the very beginning. I seen her in concert she was awesome.
Sounds pretty pitchy dawg! Did they not have floor monitors?
1:05 "my special guest TinFanni" lol
Thank you for this!
I am from Paramus, and had the privilege of seeing her at Garden State Plaza.... Great video..
Very Cool. I grew up very close to the Plaza in a town called Saddle Brook.
"*self-entitled* album". Nooo!😂 She was amazing then and still incredible in 2022!
Wow... I grew up in Bergen County in the 1980s... went to all the Paramus Malls back then with my friends. Except... The Bergen Mall was known as the WORST and most dated mall, even back then it was a laugh compared to Paramus Park or Garden State Plaza. The Bergen Mall was stuck in 1975 until well after 2000 until it finally got totally rebuilt. Still sucks. But that's because Garden State Mall is right next door. Anyway, the Bergen Mall had this atrociously ugly water fountain, with square brown and canary-yellow tiles, if I recall. It was super loud, super ugg, and totally 70s. I miss it now, though. The lighting fixtures hung 20 feet from the ceiling and were wildly tacky and dated by the 80s. The kicker was 'The Basement'. There were cruddy little mom and pop shops, stores that obviously couldn't afford upstairs rent. And it showed. It was dark, dank, and dirty and musty in this basement. And they decided to give it this country western theme. Why? Who knows. RIP Bergen Mall. Oh... and the Shoprite across from it, with it's huge arch? Anyone remember that? I just remember it has a giant arch as some bizarre modern (for 1975) architectural highlight. But it succeeded at its goal of drawing your attention, so... Well, that's my quick trip down memory lane, as a guy born and raised in Northern Jersey.... and everyone knew the Bergen Mall. And they knew it was awful, even in 1987, as malls go.
I remember all of that.
Remember like it was yesterday. Tell you this, I miss that mall and life we had back then. Things were great.
shut up and let her talk
Young kids today will never understand how big malls were, and it's sad they're losing stores and everything's just a click away online!
So happy to finally see her singing Danny live in the 80s
Tiffany Motherfxxken Tiffany- I love you babygirl!😘
Tiffany and Molly Ringwald were the cutest redheads of the 80's!
Sweetie, if you want to be Ella Fitzgerald you have to learn how to sing and then sing real songs.
i thought it was very clever to do a mall tour back then - it got a lot of publicity.
What's the ending songs name ?
The last one she's performing or the last one playing in the background as shes talking in interview? The last she is performing is "Johnnys got the inside moves", if I recall.
Yes it was Johnnys got the inside moves” thank you and God bless you !
She's a really good singer. I love her voice. I didn't appreciate it when I was a teenager.
Benatar, Joan Jett also did a lot of covers... so what?!
Que ganas de A ver estado ahí y verla en primera fila. A la reina de los shopping mall.
I was there that Saturday. She fucked up my autograph 45 by signing it to Ben
Upload de full video please bro, good job, tiffany the best singer ever
That's all there is. Found this on UA-cam like 13 years ago or so. I saved it to a file and glad i did becauae the video vanish from UA-cam a year or two after. I too wish there were full recordings of these live performances.
Natural redheads have such a unique cuteness that is all their own - her and Molly Ringwald are some of my fave female celebrities from the 80's.
Was never a fan of Molly even though I love redheads.
15? Geez I feel so old now. She's like 3 yrs older than me.
Jetsons The Movie made me into a fan of Tiffany. She did three songs for that film called You And Me, Home And I Always Thought I'll See You Again. She also did the voice of Judy Jetson in the film. She is such an underrated singer and I love her a lot. She is right that her voice is a gift from God. She is really talented. Tiffany is no has-been. She doesn't deserve to be forgotten. It's good to know that she is still out there singing and doing what she was born to do.
@Mongrel Skull you're fine, Cody. Thanks for telling me. I'm doing alright. I hope that you're doing fine.
Not many people there to check her out. Almost like a busker. Within months she would be mobbed wherever she went. Within months after that she disappeared. She did have a nice voice.
miss tiffany all these years growing up
I was at Cutlery World that day in the mall.
Awesome!
"She's in. She's today" Exactly...and I'm not saying this to praise her. The reason why she didn't find success in the 90's was because her audience outgrew her and moved on to the next product, and that's always been the problem with teen icons, and then there's that one kid who said that she was like Stevie Nicks. That's like comparing the Jonas Brothers to The Beatles. The only teen roles that I can think of at the top of the hat which are artistic and mirror actual real-life experiences are Marlon Brando's performance in "The Wild One", James Dean as Jim Stark in "Rebel Without a Cause" and his performance in "East of Eden", and Mickey Rourke's and Matt Dillon's performances in "Rumble Fish". Some of you will think that I brought motion pictures into this whole thing and therefore may believe that my examples are irrelevant, when factually it is totally pertinent to my argument.
THANK YOU SOO MUCH for uploading this and sharing it with the world! She's AWESOME THEN and she's AWESOME NOW!!!
my dad saw tiffany in concert
This is from 87. I still remember the Cutlery World store. Best place for knives. I think the record store was Sam Ash.
Sam Goodie! Sam Ash is the guitar shop, also in Paramus, not too far from there, 10 minutes or so walking distance.
I saw her perform right around this time at the Garden State Plaza. I must have been 11.
Lol...i was 12
I was 11 and missed it lol.
The dude's got it - Stevie Nicks. I'm not a big fan of her music, but I LOVE the influence in Tiffany's voice.
THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS!! Danny LIVE!!!!! YYAASSSSS
Me too. Loved to find this live. So great
the only mall tour I would ever want
if I could only put my 45 year old brain. In my 17 year olds head I will go back in time
Steven Correa your her age
Her voice and looks are heavenly
Music truly is shit today.
Man what a voice!...and the natural beauty too. Love the part @ 2:33 "...it was a gift from GOD" ...yeah she is!!
i remember listening to a radio station that was playing clip after clip off her first album and the dj was tearing it to shreds. after playing a clip of her version he'd then play a clip of the original. only one thing he stated sticks in my mind "People, this girl is nothing more than a pretty face making money on cover songs!" i dont recall this ever happening to any other artist. it's sad that when she's mentioned it's rarely because of her talent.
AJ Eds the dj was a man wasnt it? case closed.
They really spent a lot on those chairs.
no ive been there a couple years ago
Age* not game lol
K, if she were here that game now, she'd our sing Katy perry, Jessie j, justin bieber, nicki minaj, ect.
nice
