So relatable! Building a restaurant business is like raising a baby. Initially, it’s amusing but it truly takes a village to raise one. It’s no easy task and the challenges mentioned are, just the tip of the iceberg. As she rightly said, patience really is key. I am grateful to serve food and smiles every day at my cafe - seeing people happy keeps me going. A must-watch for anyone eyeing a food venture.
Ohh my god.... I literally have tears in my eyes, that happiness vaale tears,,, just wow ma'am, it was an incredible journey❤️. I'm so so proud student of having a teacher like you. Thank you mam for everything everything, thank you for giving life lessons in a unique way, I can never thank you enough but I'm saying this that one of the best things that ever happened to me is getting admission in cdsrc and meeting you. You are that personality for me.. always always grateful. You are my idol and will forever be🤍🙏
Hats off to you. I can’t wait to come back here and update on how things are going. This was well spoken and very informative. Thank you for breaking it down. I’m more confident after watching your Ted Talk. Best Ted Talk hand down.
I’m reversed I was in the restaurant business thank goodness I’m in a safe job now. This lady is absolutely right what she says please listen all new business owners!!!!!
Earlier I was asking myself why I couldn't seem to wrap my head around the struggles of opening up a restaurant. Everyone around me was saying that it'll be difficult but I couldnt really fathom how difficult is difficult. But this is such an eye opener. Thank you, I needed to hear this today.
I was almost given up but the thought of trying once more time before I close it down and came to watch some youtube lessons on how to do inventory. This video pops up ...wow!!! I am so inspired to do it again, although my takeaway wasn't been through this bad. You guys are rock stars. I wish you all the best. ❤❤❤
No words... I can feel your back days struggles .... Till now I have watched many video like this but really this is hard work. confident struggle is the top inspiration video Thank you for this ❤
I'm truly thankful for the insights and journey you've shared. Your speech has left a lasting impact on me, and I'm grateful for the valuable lessons I've learned. Thank you for your inspiring words.👏
I wanna make my own story someday after some years and let everyone listen to it. Hope my days goes as per my plans and I wish everyone of us here struggling to be the best version succeed in life.
Superb Mam, yes we were there in 2014 and also before that, struggle is real, I still remember how much efforts you both have done to make Nini’s Kitchen successful restaurant ❤️❤️❤️
Great video But not quite there…the speaker goes on about struggles and financial difficulties but never mentions once how they overcame all this to be hustling and bustling and breaking even in 8months
Staff poaching, high commissions charged by food delivery apps, food bloggers, maintainance, cops, health inspectors, corrupt VAT inspectors (no GSt then), inflated egos and a zillion other things (the list is too long, deserves 2 more tedx talks)
you could have avoided the hindi stuff in between, somehow all native speakers use their mother tongue to get hold of audience's attention and the video viewer lose the attention. may be @tedx you coud advice them
The whole perspective of a restaurant is not business oriented, but service oriented. You guys talk about restaurants as a business, yet fail to notice the happiness that arises out of satiating the hunger of your customers. 19 minutes of pure bullcrap. "i run a business, so everyone can". Pathetic to see such people in the food business.
You have the name of a Sikh from Punjab state, but your English accent sounds like you grew up in a Hindi speaking or south Indian region. You know that funny Indian accent. They way she prounces 40 like Fawty. Punjabis do not sound funny or girly when speaking English. We are tough and hardcore.😂😂
Did you miss the part about the Army background? Which means growing up every where from Kochi, Kerala to Meerut U.P, to Jalandhar, Punjab to Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh to Ahmedabad, Gujarat? I’d rather be a proud Indian than just being restricted to a Punjabi, which by the way I am also proud of❤

"We were so broke, even our reality check had bounced" ...amazing, amazing words. That resonates so much.

There needs to be a crash course telling people what they’re signing up for, before they actually take the plunge.
L move
You gave up 😢...she didn't...that's the difference why she's successful and you are not

Very Inspiring Ma’am. And hands down the coolest TedEx talk ever!!! I feel so privileged that I have been your student! More power to you Ma’am❤️❤️
Honestly, a Cook, manager, and a server can run a 50 to 70 guest by themselves.
Provided they’ve done it before.
It all depends on the menu( meals)
Wow … that was beautiful and real at the same time ! Thank you for the video ! 🙏
Glad to listen you mam. It will inspire to most of one in hotel industry..

Staff poaching, high commissions charged by food delivery apps, food bloggers, maintainance, cops, health inspectors, corrupt VAT inspectors (no GSt then), inflated egos and a zillion other things (the list is too long, deserves 2 more tedx talks)

You are just telling us ur story of success not the indepth about restaurant business.
you could have avoided the hindi stuff in between, somehow all native speakers use their mother tongue to get hold of audience's attention and the video viewer lose the attention. may be @tedx you coud advice them
inspiring story but this accent is so hard to understand

English of Indian, omg i cant understand unless i turn the cc on
It’s marketing video, Tedx quality is getting questionable
