    Bro wtf?!!! I'm friends with this guy lmao. DM him very often. Been following him for YEARS, yeah this guy is stupid strong LMFAO. And he absolutely is natty, he's just been lifting for well over a decade now. He is especially good at OHP for some reason. He hit 405lbs with a PAUSE at the chin a few months ago. Sure okay it didn't start at the shoulders, but it was a HUGE pr. He doesn't do mainly powerlifting, so his powerlifts are good but can get even better. He doesn't even max out, anyways. Really cool of you to cover him, Strength Central!

      @@thekingmeruem yes. Its hard to explain but Natural dudes who are a mix between fat and muscular dont quite look like that. You can literally see each muscle group poking through the layer of fat, like the typical strongman. I dare you to go to any gym and find a fat muscular guy who's natural and looks anything close to this guy or peak eddie hall/benedikt magnusson and whoever else.

    • @twirdman2
      @twirdman2 Рік тому

      5 years ago if I was to guess dude was sitting at about a 12% body fat. Dude now is likely sitting at a minimum of 35% and I wouldn't even be surprised if he is in the 40%+ range. He has no visible musculature now despite obviously having an incredible amount of muscles.
      So at 200 pounds he had about 24 pounds of fat. Now using the 35% he has 133 pounds of fat. So of the 180 pounds he put on 111 pounds of it is fat. Hardly mostly muscle thathe added. Dude worked hard and super strong but he didn't put on mostly muscle.

    100% possible he's natural. Doug Hepburn pressed 450 lbs/204 kg overhead with no leg drive at 300 lbs/136 kg bodyweight back in the 1950s; a few years later Paul Anderson pressed 485 lbs/220 kg and push pressed 545 lbs/247.5 kg at a bodyweight of 365 lbs/165 kg or so. Both these men were lifetime naturals. Drug-free strength potential is massively underrated on the internet these days.

    • @bdegrds
      @bdegrds Рік тому +1

      No. New lifters believe these lifts are possible natural because they don't know or actually understand what goes into lifting big weights. Lifting heavy vs what you and normal people lift are as similar as driving a Toyota and an F1 race car.

      @@bkbrawla666 The man himself!! Good luck - 440 OVERHEAD is a very, very elite club; historic level strength. (As for Paul and Doug, I have pictures of Paul pressing 480 off the rack and push pressing 545, Doug's 450 press too. These obviously weren't done in competition though)

    • @thatguyfrommars3732

      @@bdegrds I have bench pressed 400+ lbs at 235 bodyweight on multiple occasions drug-free and my ohp is closing in on 300; I have a good idea of what's possible. Guys like Doug (who didn't have the best genetics), Paul, and Andrew have been willing to put in the work necessary to make it happen, but it IS possible. Doug Hepburn in particular was so poor he was paid in chicken eggs at one point and his home country refused to sponsor him for the World Weightlifting Championships in Stockholm in 1953. He was literally funded by newspaper charity collections. There was no way he had access to what was then experimental technology let alone afford it.
      And if you really want to know what the human body is capable of without going into SHW territory, check out John Davis - an American weightlifter who cleaned and STRICT PRESSED 375 lbs (170 kg) at a bodyweight of 193 during the 1940s. Just because the overhead press isn't as emphasized today as it was back then doesn't mean all lifters from 60+ years ago were on steroids!
