    I would have expected either worse form or bigger shoulders. He's simply super strong. Amazing.

      That's already super strong, lol. I'm a beginner and I can't even do full clean sets with 12kg yet.

    • @Sam-sf8by
      @Sam-sf8by Рік тому +3

      @@Werkvuur it took me years do reach 20 clean reps with the 12s, they are a challenge. I've been training 9 years and I've been experimenting for the past year and a half with doing a sort of "top set" for accessories (just for one muscle I wanna prioritize) with a heavy weight. The first days of this you won't be able to lift the dumbbells more than half way, but with time you'll start feeling them lighter. I think it's just the tendon getting used to the force output, but I have been doing it consistently from 18 to 26 now (going from 5-15 reps ). My shoulders improved marginally, but it's more of a force aspect it feels like

    Kyriakos grizzly the bloatlord himself has done lateral raises with 50kg for reps with good form (good for him atleast)

  • @djsubliminalreeve
    @djsubliminalreeve Рік тому +3

    the secret to doing heavy lateral raises is doing a pause at the top and slowly get better and better for like a 10 rep. i pause at the top with heavy dumbells and compared to every other gym rats reps mine are solid. its about creating stiffness in the core like your doing a compound lift. to many people cant even pause 10kg at the top for 1 rep as they always swing the dumbells. i usually only swing the last set a bit for some cheat reps.

    • @sirRustyiron

      yeah that's because those are full metal pentagon dumbells. The ones we usually see (the big ones) are coated with layers of plastic so it gives it that 'large; appearance.

    Not impressed too much momentum and too much trap activation

  • @mindblown42069
    @mindblown42069 Рік тому +1

    Hmmm, not exactly a clean lateral raise, they’re noticeable in front of him hitting more anterior than medial, also a bit of momentum generated with the trunk. Good enough form for strength pursuits, which he clearly has achieved, less good for bodybuilding.

  • @patricklang7162
    @patricklang7162 Рік тому

    Some people may not understand how fucking hard that is. Im not super strong but my
    Strict press is about that total weight on a barbell and he’s doing lateral raises. Fuck that.

      regardless who cares about his form its still extremely good for doing 80 lbs each hand... just think about the weight you use and you're already doing the exact same form, you'll realize how strong he is
