After running unpredictably for some time, my Kenmore, today, refused to budge. With Ron's help I took it apart (and put it back together). The 4 drum rollers and idler pulley had accumulated not only lint but also hair choking their shafts. This surely caused my dryer to occasionally shut down prematurely. Cleaned and lubed, it's spinning smoothly like I forgot it could. One of the rollers is worn peculiarly, so I will probably order a new set and belt. Couldn't have done it without you, Ron. Thanks.

Thanks very much for this. As you probably know, it's a challenge to find the right video for the specific dryer that you need. This one fits the bill for me and was a tremendous help in figuring out how to get into the dryer itself. Thanks for putting this together.

Thank you for this video. Because of it I was able to fix my friend's dryer. It needed the idler/tensioner pulley replaced. And I replaced the belt while I was there. I wouldn't have known how to it without that excellent shot from the back showing exactly how to do it. Even so, getting the belt routed properly was still
    a hugh pain.

Just wanted to say Thank You! followed step for step with success! (although my model is a different number (90 series), the door switch was different, but no issues). We almost assumed it would be the motor due to the age, but was just the belt. bought 2 belts. 30 bucks vs a new machine! :) i'm not a handy person, but your instructions were clear, took away plenty of intimidation. Still some, but all good. :)

Thank you Ron, as others have said, the instructions and the video shots were very helpful. One snag I ran into was that I reversed the drum when re-installing. Seemingly not a problem, but noticed that the belt was now running over some screw heads afterwards, thought it may cause wear to the belt. So... dammit, pulled it all apart again and flipped the drum, now operating perfectly. To avoid this, viewers may wish to mark the front of the drum, or pay more attention than I did. Thanks again!

Only thing bout putting the door on b4 gettin the belt on the pulley is that if you have big hands and forearms like me you will have to do it 1 handed bcuz you will not be able to reach on the left. I think putting something under the drum as you replace the belt keeping the drum in place while you get the belt on will make it easier on gettin the door back in if you go that route replacing the belt b4 putting the door back on. But This is absolutely the BEST video showing the easiest and clearest directions to disassemble the dryer and how to remove the drum and put it all back in.

I wanted to thank you for your excellent how-to. Everything was spot on and helped me make quick work replacing the belt. One recommendation, I couldn't easily get my arm in on the left side so getting the belt on the tensioner was next to impossible. I tie-wrapped the tensioner pulled to the left which made getting the belt on a snap. Once it was on, I was able to easily cut the tie-wrap.

Thanks Ron for a great helpful and informative video. Because of a shoulder injury I was not able to lay on the floor and wrap the belt on the pulley. My solution was to put the top back down, then lean the dryer against the wall, so I could reach in with my hands while standing. I used a bit of tape to hold the belt in place on the top of the drum so it did not slide back when I tilted the dryer. Once the belt was in place and the dryer back on the floor, I lifted the top and removed the tape.

The shot as others said of putting belt on pulley while drum is in the dryer is such a helpful picture. Other videos for my model show a completely different way to get at the parts which are completely wrong. Not sure why the model you worked on is perfect for my 800 series but happy I found your video. Thank you very very much.

Hey Ron. Thank you so much for this vid. I have basically the same dryer and was able to replace the broken belt and took the opportunity to replace the door switch also which had failed quite a while ago (I was still able to use the dryer). Your video is awesome...I used it step by step to fix my dryer. Works like a champ now. The only thing...and a very very minor one...is the low volume. I agree. I have had to replace the belt and thermal sensors on several occasions, necessitating taking the dryer apart each time. The HARDEST part is manipulating the belt while holding tension on the spring arm. I noted that in this video, the fan shroud was removed giving more room to access the motor and spring arm. I wish there was an easier way....
