    Omg the icecream. The way she used her hands to scrape the ice cream back into the container was absolutely disgusting. If I saw my mother do that to my ice cream, I wouldn’t be eating it with if she washed her hands or not.

    Your mother in law is hilarious!! Her critique of the food prep is spot on. LMAO!! Two things that drives me insane with Alicia's cooking, is how she has to touch all the food & she cooks everything on high heat. Did you guys notice how long she cooked the asparagus??

      My x would cook food on high then get mad because it burned. Lol . Doesn’t make it cook faster just burns it. She needs a cooking refresher course. Lady has lost it. She should have tried the recipes beforehand and have everything set out ready to go.

    Please reassure your MIL the children do not eat Alicia’s cooking. Every week she buys dozens of cereals and cups of individual macaroni and cheese. It’s probably not healthier, but at least it was prepared in a clean and controlled factory.

    Plz don't judge all our cooking w Alicia. We grill our asparagus. We also didn't feed our kids fast food or constant junk. Our grandkids want to eat here bcz I cook more than take out. That butter ensures clogged arteries PLUS hollandaise doesn't take that much butter either.
    I'm Irish, German, Souix w a French maiden name bcz I was adopted. I love your MIL & of course love your unfiltered opinion.

    Are there any quickie courses on chopping techniques for Alicia? I used to dice bacon for perogies or just crispy toppings on a salad. You need a really sharp knife. I used to chop and dice so much, my knives got dull. Had to buy a knife sharpener. I notice she uses a paring knife for everything she cuts. Maybe she should watch a video on different types of knives and what they are used for.
    Bread knives, steak knives, butter knife. carving knives. she uses the same knife for everything.

    Time management takes about one month of straight cooking almost every day.
    She's been cooking for years and still can't time different food and how long each one usually takes. Veggies, depending how course they are are cooked at different times. Depends on the meat you are going to prepare and serve. It takes an interested person about a month to learn about timing. Meat potatoes and veggies have different cooking times. You would think after a few years she would have learned an easier faster way. You learn by doing. She hasn't learned a thing about cooking.

    • @carmenbrown3437
      @carmenbrown3437 Рік тому +3

      You can do that, as long as you don't leave the bacon on high heat for 20 minutes. You really don't need to cook your vegetables in a stock pot. you need to saute them for about one minute before adding the meat and potatoes. You add the carrots and turnips about 15-20 minutes before end of cooking.
      Basic stew.
