You're right on point with your thoughts. I raised 4 sons and also had a licensed daycare in my home. I bought a lot, but i did it on a budget. In doing that, I fed very nutritious meals to all the kids in my care, and I kept costs down.

Yes, it’s so excessive for no reason but to the detriment of their health, it’s sad.

    Hi Katie
I have no idea how you can apply eyeliner while talking. Amazing!😂
I grew up in a blended family of 8 children. It was a circus most days. Breakfast was cereal. Lunch was a sandwich, and dinner was very balanced. Sweets were dessert. Most processed foods didn’t exist mid century.
    We’re were all healthy.
    I’m sad for those children……😢

Yes!! And as I see more and more YTers do videos on these large family influencers and talk about how large families just can’t work or aren’t sustainable without exploitation or neglect….I’m always like “but that’s not a real large family!” 😂

Whats is sad is taht she blasts these kids medical conditions, mental health problems and the abusive background they cane from. I saw a video where she was went to buy one of the kids diapers and went into a whole spheel abt it, like as if that kid is not gonna get bullied

Some channels are there for the shock factor and whatever they do. I don’t watch them because they are not based on reality and can be wasteful.

That is true - I can’t imagine living like that, always creating a negative buzz about you. But I get that the money it brings is good

@@KatieMarie I wouldn't want to thrive on the negativity. I rather have my life private, even if my I don't make as much money as those channels in my work from home 9 to 5 job.

I used to watch the Dougherty channel sometimes because the parts where she was preparing all the meals was interesting to me. Now that it seems to be more about the hauls and the crazy foods, I stopped. I agree that the child you mentioned never really seemed happy to participate, nor did the older foster girl. I think she and her brother were kinship fosters if that makes a difference in whether they can be shown or not. It really could have been a good channel if it centered on her role, rather than exploiting the kids.

I get that and agree that if it focused on her as a mother, then fine. And I understand it can be really educational or relaxing to watch people cook - I do enjoy a relaxing cooking channel!

UA-cam deleted my comment. So much for free speech! In a nutshell just said I don’t support family vloggers because I find them to be exploitative and risky to the children’s safety. They need to have more laws in place to ensure that they are not exploited and are paid for their work even if the money goes into a savings account or trust fund that they cannot touch until they are legal adults at 18 years.
Also said I don’t like the channels that do super budget friendly and bulk cooking. It makes me queasy to see all the cheap ingredients, high salt, high sugar and harmful preservatives in the bland looking food they make🤮.

Thanks for commenting again - I think I saw both of them, but YT can get weird sometimes and take a while to post a comment.
Yes, I agree with UA-cam becoming such a lucrative avenue, more laws need to be passed to protect children - it’s too easy to use kids with these family channels and it must be so draining on them

      @ You are welcome! 🧡
Yes unfortunately some see that they can make easy money off of their kids so they exploit them. I used to follow this channel which was a cancer vlog channel. I had to unsubscribe because after the wife passed away the husband was still asking for money even though they had already collected close to 200K from subscribers and had medical bills paid off. The little boy was getting bullied according to the dad for being on UA-cam but he still made him be on camera when he was grieving his mother and sick even though he was uncomfortable and made sad faces. It broke my heart. The Gofundme was reported for fraud and was allegedly shut down, but he is still asking for money in videos for vacations and to fund his expensive shopping habits. He bought a RV and 2 new vehicles all in same time frame.

That’s how Z looks in every video she hates it and I guarantee she’ll be the first one to snark when she turns 18 and gets out of there….I believe she’s going to run as fast as she can and she’s very intelligent and articulate so I don’t think she even cares about any social media money she’s going to be successful

Iv seen her channel and watched her. She will do what ever it takes to make money, this is why one of her kinship kids left. Lusha wanted everyone filmed and exploited everyone’s health issues to the public so she can come off as a hero of a mother like “ look what Iv done, I’m a hero, Iv adopted these kids with issues ( like no one else would) we’ve learned that the kids shouldn’t have sugar and certain things like milk, dairy, yet she turns around and buys nothing but, sugar, processed foods and dairy, she was ( or still is) a big lover of white claw. She’s definitely a bad mother

Go away if you don’t know you don’t know 🙄 people are concerned for the kids but it always gets twisted to being “jealous” and people need to mind their own business…also it’s funny how these families put all their business on the internet for the world to see but nobody is suppose to have an opinion about it….its no different than rating a movie you’ve watched 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️

She’s putting it on social media by her own choice - that is making it other people’s business. And it’s a concern for the well being of her kids, as well as the calling out how fake the life she presents is. She puts a bad name on having a big families - and as someone who grew up in a big family, I know first hand the assumptions people usually think about big families.
