    You and Classic Vinyl Collectibles should pair up and do a live event. Seeing you two on a split screen showing off your collections and sharing stories would be cool.
    Talking Heads 12”-ers has been a work-in-progress for me for years. Tracking down NM-M vinyl makes it harder. I rewatch “Stop Making Sense” for inspiration. to putting together a wishlist of 12” single I’d like to get since it is my opinion that there best music came pre-1984. My favorite 12” single in my collection is “Life During Wartime.”

      That's a great idea; maybe one day we can make that work. Totally agree with you on the Talking Heads 12" singles - NM condition is hard to find in the U.S. (especially at a reasonable price). "Life During Wartime" is actually on my want list on a white promo sampler jacket with another track - "Psycho Killer". I might pull the trigger and land this gem in my collection. Another track I love is "This Must be the Place (Naïve Song)". If I can get their original 1982 LP - "Speaking in Tongues", that would be cool also. Yeah, the best of luck to you scoring those 12" singles.

    Wow such nice copies you got there, I love all this stuff when In plastic sleeves too. You got a nice stack there, loving Erasure, yeah Shake the disease always a favorite from them, and Ultravox as well. Insane how much they want these days for The Cure Talking Heads and Depeche Mode. Thank you for the shout outs (the link doesnt work in the description) but maybe be some letters short. Yeah if you put our collections together it could be a record store. You showed many I dont know i'll have to catch up on. I rewatched one of your Videos when you asked for more from Real Life, in the description I mentioned some more artists like Section 25, English Boy on the loveranch, and many more. New Order Lowlife I had to make sure I got with the OBI wrap, The Perfect Kiss with the frogs, great era with such sounds they added. Maybe you and I should do a trivia question on vinyl records, or songs and each do a record giveaway to the guesser with the right answer such as New Order Blue Monday kick drum beginning is taken from what disco song. I am always going through your Videos just to see what you got and jpsound is a seller of mine also. Glad to see you got Dance with me, did you ever get Real Life-God Tonight? I just published my Electro video last night, Italo part 4 coming soon and 5, plus Darkwave and unboxing soon. Thanks for the Video here, some nice gems and scores you got.

      Thank you very much, my friend! My goal is to purchase (3) records from a seller in NM condition and save on shipping costs; hopefully fulfill my want list. It was ironic that you showed the Ultravox vinyl when I was actually waiting for it to be shipped (beautiful track). Yeah, this is the 1st time I put a link in my description; thanks for letting me know - I'll correct it soon.
      Someday I'll score a copy of "Low life" by New Order (prices still too high). I still need to get "God Tonight" by Real Life. I have Section 25's LP with Looking from a Hilltop, but I'm not familiar with the other tracks. My local record shop has a Section 25 LP that has a $50 price tag on it; I think it's entitled "Bad News Week"??
      JPdiscosounds has an amazing collection with NM vinyl; reasonable prices, shipping costs, and very clean jackets to pair with the record. Yes, that would be cool to do a trivia question on vinyl records for the fans; surely that would make the winner very happy! Hopefully I can score some more records and post another video before Christmas. Thanks again for your dedication on watching my videos.

    Good to hear from you Chris. Hope things are well. I had the commercial 12” of INXS “Original Sin” and I remember many of the vocal lyrics were omitted from that remix. Found the promo years after which has the LP vocal mix. Found a promo 45 w/ pic sleeve a few years ago. Great track!!

      Hey Phil! Same here my friend. Hope you’re doing well. Love the LP vocal mix or just the song in general. It’s my favorite from INXS. My next record from this group would be the ‘82 release with Don’t Change. Why is this LP so expensive?

    • @HitsTownUSA
      @HitsTownUSA 2 роки тому +1

      @@klassicjam Things are going well Chris. Been working on a project of getting my 45's converted to MP3 which includes scanning the sleeve art and tagging it to the sound file. Just finished the 80's and now I'm working on the 70's.
      A little trivia. Daryl Hall does the backing vocals on "Original Sin". As for the '82 release, my gues is why it's so pricey has to do with a limited number of copies sold. There most likely isn't many of them out there. In the U.S., their 1983 LP "Shabooh Shoobah" was their first LP to get any notoriety because it contained their first Top 30 single "The One Thing". Another great rocker!

      @@HitsTownUSA Hey Phil, best of luck to you with all your Music projects. Thanks for sharing that factoid about the background vocals to Original Sin from a Legend. Makes me love this song that much more. The One Thing is a great track also; got a promo 12” copy in my collection now. Still want the ‘82 LP; it was in my local record store; but it’s gone now. Maybe next time. Take care, Phil!

    Great video as usual klassicjam, we're always looking forward to your new content 😊 you would love the record fairs here in the UK, we have a ton of New Order stuff everywhere, original copies can be pretty expensive so I just bought all their LPs on new re-releases (which are pretty good too). Also a big fan of that late 80s erasure, we have a copy of the original Oh L'Amour with the Thomas the train artwork, which was recalled for copyright reasons, so I don't know if you can find that one in the states. Look forward to the next one 😊😊

      Hey Jack, thanks again for your comments on my videos; it means a lot to me. I've honestly never been to a record fair, but it sounds like the ones in the UK would be awesome (especially the New Order material). I'll keep a lookout for the Oh L'Amour with that artwork (it would be a matter of great luck to score that rare gem). Really the only Erasure stuff I see here in my local records stores would be Chains of Love, Sometimes, Blue Savannah, and maybe A Little Respect. Wishing you all the best on your collection. Hopefully yall don't have to wait so long for my next video. Trying to put a batch of records together with several sellers on Discogs. I really want to make another trip to the Record Store - so much fun!!!

    Nice collection of stuff! Some long time favorites with those Ultravox, Alphaville, New Order & Depeche Mode records. I much prefer the 12" version of "reap the wild wind" over the LP version. I never owned "Acid Rock" by Rhythm Device. Good find....I don't recall having ever run across that one. That song really hung around. I remember it being big in the gay bars around 89/90 and then not too long afterward, it became a goth bar staple. I need to look for that other "Behind The Wheel" 12" with the black sleeve (not the beatmasters one). Cheers!

      Thank you very much, my friend !! So happy to finally stack my shelves with these collectible gems. Some Big Time synth-pop bangers with New Order & Depeche Mode; always wanting more - so addictive! Always a pleasure having your wonderful comments on my videos. Stay tuned for another video soon.

    What will you do about the sealed Talking Heads single? Open & play it or keep it sealed for a future sale? hmmm, one of life's hard choices. LOL.

      Hi Trevor! Basically waiting for the right price, condition, accepted offers, and shipping costs for these gems on my want list. Just having the vinyl in Near Mint condition without any issues is so worth it. I should have another video posted before Christmas; it's worth the wait because there's more amazing jams on the list. Take care, Trevor. I look forward in hearing from you again on my next video.
