It's a veritable "plethora" of Ray! Also have not seen that Moonlighting soundtrack since seeing it at a department store music section when I was a kid in the 80s. I knew about the show, but I didn't think much of it since it was too grown-up for my tastes.
Craig, as always an ecclectic variety of showings! Mary's Danish I recall seeing in the early 90's when they toured in my area. Redd Kross are great also. Candi Staton-couldn't have said it better myself! Sidebar: I have on order The Secret Sisters releases you recommended. 😎🎶🎤Have a great 4th!
@@onmyturntable7036 you will have to let me know what you think of the Secret Sisters. What albums did you order? I would’ve loved to see Mary’s Danish. Wish they would’ve stuck around for a little longer. Great band. Candi is a goddess!!!
@CraigsVinylPlethora I ordered Put Your Needle Dawn, and You Don't Own Me Anymore. Recently on PBS there was a 3 part series on the history of disco, and Candi Staton was a good part of that with clips and interviews. Definitely check it out!
WoW congratulations on that Cure uk pressing ❤ . Madonna’s comp sounds amazing 😍
🎶 😎
OMG, I remember that song, "I'm with the DJ"! I'm trying to remember, I have it on a dance comp CD, but can't remember which one. That Koko Taylor album rocks.
Does that look like her autograph? I’m not sure I believe it’s real. DJ’s girl is the best!!!
@@CraigsVinylPlethora I have no clue on the signature, without any documentation about the provenance it’s difficult to tell. Even with the records I own that are signed, they were signed in front of me, but I have no other proof beyond my word. You should be able to google her signature and make a comparison. That’s how I verified a signed copy of a William S Burroughs book I bought online.
Ah! Third Eye! I didn't realize you already knew this album. So great! 🙌🙌 You may know this, but Sofia Coppola was Steve McDonald's girlfriend at the time, which is why she's on the cover.
I did not know that they were dating. Third Eye iris really the only album of theirs I’m familiar with but my is it brilliant!
Are all of your glasses prescription? I could listen to Ray Charles every day. Mary's Danish is a name I haven't heard in a while. Check out Vinyl Richie. He's a Redd Kross fanatic. Cleopatra puts out some interesting tribute albums. I could listen to you sing Lil Kim for a whole video. 😅 "Queen Of The Blues" is so classic. Got some good ones there (so jealous of your "Disintegration" score). Cheers!
Yes all of my glasses are prescription. I’m blind without them! I have another cleopatra tribute to the cure that’s pretty interesting. Lil’ Kim, Lil’ Kim bring it to me now!
A great showing of records. You inspire (influence) me to buy many records!!!! I am still missing a number of Cure albums in my collection and I really want to have all their work, but i might go the CD direction. Have you heard any of the recent Cure reissues? How do they sound? peace brother!!!
Most of the recent cure reissues are on picture discs so there’s that. I have a few of both and they’re not terrible. The double disc reissues that came out like 10 years ago are pretty good. Lots of extra goodies.
@@CraigsVinylPlethora I need to have more of The Cure in my life! Thanks for the reply!
Great to see that Madonna's "Celebration" was reissued. I have an original 2009 pressing. It looks exactly like the reissue except for the hype sticker. I have not seen anyone show Blancmange nor Mary's Danish in years. You never disappoint Craig. A wonderful update~
