Hi Jennifer, yes the "wait" was well worth it. It's rare to score a record this collectible for decent lower than normal price. Sometimes we have to be patient for the right time to pull the trigger. Hey Jason! Great times at A-F/X with the awesome music, friends, and not to mention the drinks to get everyone in the mood. Think I do remember you at the bar. Wow - such a long time ago, but the music still lives on today. On my breakbeat collection, mid to late 90's, I probably have it almost full. Just lacking DJ Icee - "Encyclopedia Funktantica" from '95 or '96 and a couple more gems from that era. Thank you for finding my channel and hopefully brings back some memories from back in the day. Good luck on your vinyl collection! Remember... it's all about "quality" not "quantity".

OMG, what a coincidence, back in 2008 i bought that same Roxy Music -"more than this" 12" German single at a local indie record store for $ 5.oo. That same year i bought the Frankie Goes To Hollywood 12" too. It cost me $10.oo. Vinyl was so much cheaper in 2008.
No doubt, my friend. Amazing that you scored Roxy Music German import for only $5.00 (that has to be a world record). I paid $14.99 for my Frankie... gatefold LP (excellent condition). Just 2 weeks prior, I picked up a copy and the seller wanted $22.00 (condition was not that great). I'm so happy I waited. Back in 2008, I was hitting all the record stores in my nearby big cities quite heavily. I was pretty active on Ebay selling and buying records on a frequent basis. Yeah, it was amazing how cheaper vinyl was during that year. Thanks for watching my video, and look out for another video coming out in a couple of weeks.
You and I really have the same mind and knowledge. Thank you for the shout out, looking at this again I was thinking that's definately a German release, and friends how do we know that? They were huge with that banner and other placements with the words "Maxi single" and "super sound single". Modern Talking (Deiter Bohlen) they loved putting Maxi Version as the description of what versions of the single it is. Well we already know that,....... its a 12" long play. Everywhere else uses "extended version". I thought it was brilliant of you to put cardboard and the vinyl behind it all, this lowers the risk of ringwear and a mint Roxy single that nice would be detrimental to have a slight ringwear on such a beautiful NM sleeve. Take notes viewers and new collectors on what he and I talk about, especially when buying, go for atleast VG+ (very good plus) or NM if affordable mostly talking when buying on Discogs. This is both media and sleeve. Always keep everything in plastic, even cold weather will 'ruffle' the edge sleeve. Happy collecting.
Same here, my friend. We understand the vinyl collecting business (or hobby) very well. Appreciate the comment as always! Yeah, I was thinking how lucky I was to score a copy of the Roxy Music single in this superb condition; first I slid a heavy cardboard backing and it started to tear the sleeve on the sides (so I found a thinner backing and worked well). I predict the value of this single will rise over the next few years. Probably from You and I displaying our records and letting the listeners know the rarity of these gems.
Be on the lookout (probably after X-Mas) for another video; still waiting on a couple to arrive. I thought I would have more, but it's getting harder and harder to buy a batch of quality vinyl from just (1) seller to reduce shipping costs. Just hard for me to justify; especially when there could be opportunities of "make offer" and shipping for (1) low price. Happy Collecting !!!

Great video as always. Pretty Hate Machine is my favourite album of all time and was my introduction to industrial music, I also have a vinyl repress of it, but I'm very jealous of the Head Like a Hole and Down In It singles. NIN on vinyl is pretty rare in the UK - I came across a copy of the Fixed EP recently at a fair, but it was £200!

Hi Jack! Always a pleasure, my friend. That's awesome you have a copy of this Historic NIN LP. So many tracks with Trent's creativity and so influential for other artists trying to capture that sound. "Head Like a Hole" 12" single has been on the high side of the money spectrum for quite some time (waited 3 or 4 years for the right time to strike at a lower price). "Down in It" really gets my heart pumping - just a killer tune for sure. It's better sometimes to wait; like a victory to score a vinyl gem lower than sellers are asking.
