Just started on 0.0 in last few months as decided lifestyle needed to change. Only ever drank on weekends previously but to excess. This has taught me that I don't miss the alcohol and can still enjoy the hops/malt flavours. Also sleeping better and don't miss the hangovers. Good video. Thanks
Tbh it's helping me with sobriety . It's tough because I was an alcoholic since I was young. And the feeling of brew containing alcohol whether the bloating or headache or all around body was just deteriorating. Since I have drank non alcoholic beer I get the feeling and same satisfying feeling without feeling ran down. I can wake up and function I can drink 12 and the ones I drink are %0.0 . So no actual buzz is happening. I remember what I say . I don't feel guilty drinking them around my family. And most importantly I'm sober. I'm all for it.
Alcohol-free beer helped me to get through the nightmare I was living. In the beginning, was hard to quit so alcohol-free beer helped me a lot. Now I drink it occasionally. I'm proud of my life now and proud of who I am. You're videos also helped me to find motivation and quit alcohol. And life is so much better now, basically, I took back my life from the chains of alcohol.
I live in Spain and every single bar has alcohol free beer and I see more and more people drinking it here. I don't really drink it at home but if we go out in the evening I will have a bottle or two. Its good if its ice cold and if I have one on the table nobody around me knows that Im not drinking so you avoid that discussion, if you want to.
I'm 22 years old and I've been drinking heavily for the last 4-5 years. I dont class myself as an alcoholic just more of a habit and something to pass the time in the nights after a days working. I started out drinking heavily on the weekends and then for a long time even spilling over to during the week with work the next day. When gradually it turned into drinking 6 pints of beer a night every night of the week. I've made the decision to quit drinking because I know it will reduce my anxiety which drinking alcohol does not help with at all. I find that alcohol has given me a dull personality with no joy in life, energy or motivation. I've actually forgotten what my personality was like when I was younger and didn't drink alcohol. I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing the changes in myself for the better with replacing alcohol for non alcoholic beer 👌
It's awesome yeh. I would also recommend erdinger free. Bit expensive but amazing taste. I have it as a treat sometimes but generally drink Heineken zero.
Personally I think Heineken 0% tastes like water. Guinness Pure Brew or Stiegl Freibier are the best two I've tried. Apparently they use yeast that doesn't make very much alcohol in the brewing process of Pure Brew, so there's no need to boil it off after brewing which helps retain the quality.
Afb saved my life I would drink 2 Becks everyday for 3 months also drank plenty water, helped me tapper down and wean me off booze. For some people these 00 beers are a help.
Excellent insight Kevin. My alcohol consumption shot through the roof with the pandemic, and I've felt the effects on my health and demeanor. I've gotten my consumption down to 7 standard drinks a week over the last month, and have feet like I'm missing the taste much more than being drunk. I was looking into different non-alcoholic beers when I stumbled onto this video. It's good to know that I should approach this option with caution. Thank you.
i went from 18 cans to around 10 alcohol free beers. i feel much better. i feel like i can still socialize, which was my main concern. i'm happy with this. anyway i'm going to stick with this!! but actually i'm fairly sure it's just the glass as i'm happy drinking health juices in a glass bottle.
I’m 67yrs young as a young man in my twenties I drank my share of beer all and continued through my life never drank whiskey or hard liquor and didn’t consider myself having a drinking problem. But I would at times like on weekends drink morning to night also after work and weekends. I was diagnosed at 57 years old with alcohol fatty liver that turned into cirrhosis never had any symptoms and to this day I now have fatty liver disease cirrhosis edema and ascites i have to have fluid drained from stomach bout every two months so please slow down or stop,
Don’t agree with “Don’t have it if your trying to quit” everyone’s different but here’s my view and I’m new to this.. I’m 42, been daily drinking since 23 with many attempts to wind it back or quit. Never been more than a few days without it. I suspect now that I’m not addicted to alcohol but rather the habit of finishing work and grabbing a beer then as the sun goes down a wine. It’s only been 3 weeks but I’m finding it really easy. No real reason for attempting to quit this time, just though I’d give it a go. Each to there own I guess.
That's OK. I'm coming from a few years of coaching a variety of people to get alcohol permanently out of their lives. For some, AF beers are helpful. For others, they remind them too much of the thing they're trying to eliminate and therefore can prove flawed. It's all contextual and depends on the individual. I would advise caution. Anyone within the first six months of quitting is still in the high motivation period. That can give you a false confidence that you've everything sussed out. It's a flaw I've seen time and time again. I hope it works out well for you Daniel.
Alcohol-free beers are the healthiest drinks in a pub after water and tea (and who wants to drink these in a bar) ... all soft drink alternatives are usually high in sugar and caffeine, plus the sugar free alternatives are usually high in aspartame (which you wanna stay well away from) or just taste awful.... its a revolution happening now and I hope in time that all pubs will have a draught tap for them so that we don't have to keep paying for expensive half pints out of bottles... my faves at the moment are Zero zero, Nanny State and Patronus weissbier (v. cheap from Lidl and quite tasty)...Nanny State although it has 0.5% Alcohol (which would prob burn off in an hour) is known as having the lowest calories per bottle, its something like 26 calories!
I was at my bro in-laws for Thanksgiving a year after I had stopped. I cracked open that Heineken 0% smelled it, and gave it back. I wouldn't recommend it. I 'm in year 5 now, and still won't drink alcohol free beer.
I think it's about as good as a slice of bread, it has carbs (sugars), but that's either bad or good depending on whether you can handle a blood sugar spike, or care to use the energy at will (vs packing on extra calories and convert it to fat).
I'll pick me up some O'Doul's when I know I have to get up the next morning and I'm grilling out or whatever it may be. Really helps fill the void for me if I know I can't drink that night.
Alcohol free beer is better than an alcoholic drink for your body's sake most other things we can drink are full of dangerous sugar which is worse than anything else to eat and drink healthy is a massive task and expensive.
I'm guessing it's probably not lol, but it's like a crutch in the beginning to help quit. It helps to list out all those top reasons to quit. For me, drinking kills my productivity even when not hungover. Less energy and clarity to achieve more life goals besides just work. I stopped doing most art when I started drinking a lot more. Consuming a lot of alcohol makes the rest of your life very "consumer" based and less creative.
I,personally won't touch the stuff,it tastes too much like the real thing, which I know is the salient point. But I know that just a taste of alcohol would put me back to square one!! Cat
This video is a bit old now. Heineken 0.0 is excellent. I've been alcohol free for almost 2 years now and enjoy these once in a while. I refrained from alcohol beer until now though. I still agree though that it would be dangerous to make a regular habit of drinking these because it could be a bit of a gateway back to the real thing.
Ever since I have seen non-alcoholic beer on the shelves, I have taken the opportunity to drink this type of beer. But I can't drink it everyday. Plus it has to be chilled even with no alcohol. I don't drink alcohol, but non-alcoholic beer has allowed me to feel more like a man.
I definitely drink less, drinking non-alcoholic beer. Like you say, it's great to have something to make you feel included. There are a lot of new alcohol free beers coming out that have very very good taste which is cool.
Been AF for 8 months, i no longer want too get drunk but miss the social side so going too try AF beers as i never really cared for the actual taste of alcohol, thanks for advice
Simply put: "I love the TASTE of beer. Eighteen months sober. I was a moderate drinker, so it worked for me. Might not be okay to help you if you have, or have had a drinking problem. 😀
NA beers for me are a COMPLETE GAME CHANGER... i'm also realizing i was never really an "alcoholic" as i don't miss the actual booze AT ALL... what i really liked about drinking was the relaxation of a beer, the social part, the taste, etc.. i've even given NA wine a go recently, it's not as good as the beers, but the association with winding down, and the familiar taste is enough for me. i strongly urge someone like me to quite booze, and just drink NA drinks, you'll be absolutely SHOCKED how little difference it makes. there are people who actually require alcohol to function, and that is a completely different journey, and i'm thankful i'm not in that camp. good luck all...
My view - I’ve been sober for 4 - 5 months now, decide to try the Budweiser 0.0 drank 4 on Saturday night and Monday Tuesday woke up feeling hungover, then the nausea started and anxiety crap pretty much ended having my withdrawals I had when I quit 5 months ago! On day 9 had some anxiety and fatigue today , mood swings damn it I shouldn’t of tried it. Has anyone else have this happen to them ?
i definitely get a mini hangover for some reason, the taste buds playing tricks with the brain , but at least you can hang out at a bar and shoot pool etc
Good video. I had the same issue when I stopped drinking. There was NOTHING to enjoy when I was at dinner with friends - well, very, very little. The new explosion in n/a beers is phenomenal. I will say that n/a (Brits may say AF) beer is the placebo effect. That taste was strongly associated with drunkenness. Since I started drinking n/a beer after around 5 years sober, this wasn't the biggest issue in the world. However, if I were to advise someone new to sobriety/non-drinking, I'd say to wait a full year before drinking a n/a beer. Long-term sobriety is fully worth it and those who can't put that flavor aside for 365 days have more steps to work...
Just been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis at 36 so pretty devastated with everything thst comes with it. With that, I have been finding info on non alcoholic beers ingredients having positive effects in relation to the pancreas and anti inflammatory properties.
I I don't know if its healthy or not. But people drink for different reasons, some people drink it to be accepted in social circles, its hard for some people to say I don't drink. After one one year of being sober, I am brave enough to say I don't drink. I was never a big fan of beer. It does not taste nice for me so alcohol free beer taste just as bad.
I remember one time in high school I may have been 17 18. I tried to buy Milwaukees best NA and still had to be 21 in my state. By the time your 21 you can buy whatever lol I thought it was funny tho
it sounds disgusting , I looked at this option when I first quit drinking, but decided I wanted to rid myself of it completely, I dont even walk down the alcohol Lane in the supermarket! anyway I would like to hear your ideas on alternative refreshments.
so I've been trying to find out if non alcoholic beer delays withdrawal symptoms cuz I like beer for the taste so I still wanna drink and it helps to satisfy the urge but I still need the detox to happen. do you guys think it prolongs the onset of withdrawal symptoms? What would you say to my 14 year old son that likes beer flavor but doesn’t want alcohol
They've helped me quit. I personally see nothing wrong with them.
Me too.
Me three!
Me four 4
Me five
Me 6

Got to be healthier than drinking soda as a non alcoholic beverage. The list of ingredients is usually countable on one hand for a starter.
I love non-alcoholic beer I normally drink a lot & it’s working for me I haven’t touched alcohol 🍺 I have successfully done this
What are the benefits of drinking non alcoholic beer? Can u tell me
You live longer.
Asteroids live long too
Is it good for people that are going cold turkey ? just to help you with the craving .
@@ArmandoLuis1318 for me yes, I dont crave alcohol but some foods like pizza I really enjoy pairing them with a very cold beer

Most of them now state 0.05% alcohol, not 0.5% alcohol on the can or bottle.

In Dubai all the doctors advise the people with urological problem to drink free alcohol beer and water

Its a hell of a lot healthier for you drivers license! Especially if you are a bus driver and relying on that license for your income!
I totally agree. The main reason I left the poison.

It must have been something you ate
i definitely get a mini hangover for some reason, the taste buds playing tricks with the brain , but at least you can hang out at a bar and shoot pool etc
It can't be the alcohol causing your problems must be the hops
Nocebo effect
🥴
I drink Coors NA and Busch NA. Refreshing and easy drinking.
I absolutely love Coors edge beer

Non alcohol beer is best for who suffer from kidney stones.
They make some really good alcohol free beer no need for the other stuff
Totally disagree it's great for quitting imo. 1 year drinking al free and not a thought of alcoholic beer
19 years sober thanks to na beer
2 years myself, I still drink the non-alcoholic pretty heavy though.
Bet u drank alot of o douls back in the early 2000s.
I I don't know if its healthy or not. But people drink for different reasons, some people drink it to be accepted in social circles, its hard for some people to say I don't drink. id say its a healthier option to drink in a bar than say a few glasses of coke or orange which are loaded with excess sugar
I remember one time in high school I may have been 17 18. I tried to buy Milwaukees best NA and still had to be 21 in my state. By the time your 21 you can buy whatever lol I thought it was funny tho
We need a Guinness AF
This exists now brah
Yeah but its blonde
Athletic Brewing Company produces their non-alcoholic beer to end up with less than 0.5% alcohol, so they don’t remove anything at the end.
it sounds disgusting , I looked at this option when I first quit drinking, but decided I wanted to rid myself of it completely, I dont even walk down the alcohol Lane in the supermarket! anyway I would like to hear your ideas on alternative refreshments.
Try tea. It has a million different flavors and add honey
Help me quit alcohol too!!
Hops effect your brain and your gut and give a slight buzz. I have used them to get off alcohol but I am still wary about using them too much.
thanks a ton!

Skipped to conclusion। Was great
I find them great and the serve a purpose, had a bbq today and had a couple AF punk ipas i enjoy them, i just wondering if they had the same effects like beer belly swelling etc,,
you explained it perfectly :-)
yea other alternative to non-alcoholic beers! what are they? other alcohol free drinks that are close to beer or other similar drinks :-)
Heineken 0.0!! The flavor when needed
Is it legal for them to buy it if they’re underage
Rage slayer Realms oh yes it's very legal
Can I pass a etg test if I drank a six pack of Heineken 0?
yes, there wont be enough pure alcohol to trip the test and your driving will not be impared in any meaningful way.
Maybe buy an alcoholic tester and do the test at home. You don't want to do the test with the cops while driving on the road incase it does.
WEll'l Kev i have Erdinger non alcohol isotonic wheat beer have done for years now, i only have ONE after a meal it is not Addictive like alcoholic beer there does it for me.
I liked this video. good shiiiiiit
Real question is is it legal for kids to drink and consume
Rage slayer Realms of course
So an 11-year-old can you just go to the store ask for non-alcoholic beer buy it with his own money and just go out and drink it
Rage slayer Realms Of course I've been doing it since I was 5
I think the answer is no because even if its 0.0 alcohol there is still a small amount of alcohol present, so can not be sold and consumed by children.
I'm a non alcoholic!
Keep up the good work
It’s prob not “healthy”, but it’s better than alcohol beer.
This guy looks like Tyson Fury
I love na, but I wish it was cheaper
Terrible idea if there has been any level of dependency
Mocktails are tasty. Please share.
alcohol trigger migrain
corrrect
