This video review is fantastic, thanks so much for doing!! When Penn said "I like a beer, but just don't like how it makes me feel the next morning", an alarm bell went off for me because that is the EXACT SAME reason that I started looking for good NA beers!!! I have been experimenting and attempting to find good NAs for the past 18 months, and have had a lot of bad NA beers. At your recommendation, I picked up a single of Untitled Art IPA and I completely agree. When I first sipped it, I was like "oh wow, this tastes like a normal IPA and doesn't have any of that NA funk that a lot of them have." Will definitely be buying more Untitled art, the only drawback is that it is very expensive where I live --- as in more expensive than the barrel aged beers I can get from Founder's Brewing (in my hometown of Grand Rapids, MI). I am an IPA fan, and also love a good rich stout. I have tried many many "dark" NAs and most of them are terrible. I will say that the NA from Guiness is fantastic and tasted nearly identical to normal guiness. My buddy and I even did a side by side and you could barely tell any difference. And a very surprising recent find was Labatts Blue NA. My friend bought some by accident and didn't want it, so he gave it to me. I will say this is one of the best NAs I have ever had. It tastes just like real beer, and is quite good. I am not normally a big Labatts fan, but I will drink this NA for sure in the future. As a bonus, I think it is pretty cost effective compared to some of the other "craft NAs"
I agree on the Guinness NA. Virtually no difference from the taste of Guinness. I'll have to check on if I can get Untitled Art here, but Athletic's Run Wild is my IPA fix. I also agree with Penn on waking up the next morning. I wasn't as motivated as I am now.
I think this may be the first comment I have ever made on any UA-cam video. I am a marketing & events director for Billsburg Brewery in Williamsburg Virginia and we have started carrying non-alcohol beer (and we serve mocktails, too, so I plan to watch that one also) I SO appreciate Penn being critical and an “IPA-hole”, which incidentally is a great trivia team name that I fully intend to steal- Anyhow, I love an IPA and I can’t imagine drinking non-alcohol beer because it seems to me that it would be impossible to replicate the hoppy bitter finish, but I’m actually going to go try the Untitled Art because of this! I typically purchase the nonalcoholic beer for our Taproom cooler and this has given me a lot of good ideas for what to serve. Big Thanks from me & Billsburg!
Penn and Kim, I'm glad for you that you are trying to be more healthy. I'm also grateful that you are setting a good example for us all. Keep up the good work. Now it's time to think about that live pot luck concert.
This is great, thanks for doing this and the mocktail video! I have been incorporating more NA beers and other drinks these days as alcohol no longer agrees with me quite as much as it used to, lol. I most recently tried NA Corona and it was pretty spot on to the "real" thing!
Drinking game… take a shot every time IPA is said 😂😂😂 great video guys.. definitely good for those looking for beers that are like the original but non alcoholic
I give you guys so much credit for drinking non-alcoholic beers. There is only one reason I will drink beer, and that is to get the effect of the beer. I cannot subject myself to something that tastes like a beer, but is not going to make me relax like a beer. I just can't do it. If I'm not going to drink something alcoholic it's going to be soda, seltzer, or good old-fashioned water. Life is too short to subject yourself to things that taste like something, that aren't. No, I don't drink diet soda either. I'm just one person, and there are stronger people than me for this.
I am wanting to limit my alcohol this year, so this video (and the one coming soon re: "Mocktails") is coming at the perfect time. Thank you! It's nice to know that when you're craving something grownup, you can still be smart.
Thanks for a very interesting video. Really informative and helping viewers know non alcoholic options are available. I also love the fact your top pick is from my home state of Wisconsin. Unfortunately I don’t like beer. I had one 50 years ago. I think it was my last. Love your channel. Great stuff.
I love this! My husband and I cruise quite a bit (LOL; obviously) and we don’t drink hardly at all, so we appreciate the reviews! Also, if you haven’t tried Leer’s Non-Alcoholic spirits, you should-we love them and were introduced to them on Carnival cruises (we now mix drinks with them at home).
Excellent reviews! Glad you tried the Untitled Art, I’ve been curious myself about it, but couldn’t get myself to try it, something about the branding of the can I couldn’t get past. 🤷🏻♂️. But now I have to try it!
Penn, thank you for your opinions on the NA beers. As someone who works in the beverage industry the NA trend continues to grow each day with a variety of different companies trying their hand at it. I agree Untitled Art has to be the best overall beer (also they don’t just have IPA. They have blonde, golden, sour, stouts and porters)! One that truly surprised me was the Stella Artois NA which truly taste like a Stella. If you can get your hands on it try to find the Mikkeller Raspberry Ale because Kim might really like that one. My wife truly enjoys it and is not a beer drinker (she says it taste like a raspberry soda). Thank you again for all your information on these beers!
If you haven't tried Go Brewing, their Sunshine State IPA is yummy, as are their sours. Love the seasonal grapefruit IPA as well. I was underwhelmed with most Bravus beers, but their West Coast IPA I probably truest to name, followed by their oatmeal dark. I haven't had a single beer by Untitled Art I don't love. They win in every category in my book, worth the price.
Thanks for the reviews! Hey Kim, I am not a beer drinker at all, but decided to do the same thing and decrease alcohol. Corona makes a nonalcoholic beer that is so refreshing. Add some fresh lime and it’s a perfect summertime drink
I appreciate this video. I had no idea there were so many N/A beers on the market. Sharp, O'Doulls, Buckler, etc. are among the seven or eight varieties in my area.
I love this video. I've been doing sober summer as well (almost 3 months) BUT I'm also an IPAhole too Penn - love me some strong IPA, DIPA, and even a few TIPAs :) I wish I could get that untitled here (east coast Canada) as that would likely check a lot of boxes for me as well. So far my favourites are Harmon Half Day IPA, Athletic Wild IPA, and Partake IPA (in that order). There are a few local ones here but they are not as good as those three. I was going to try the partake Hazy IPA but now I'm not based on your review LOL.
Love this series. Totally need one for champagne, wine and maybe just seltzers. Maybe an adaptation/ herb one? What would that category even be called? I am a life long sober girl and often enjoy dealcoholized wine or champagne at parties.
Agree agree agree ! Penns Best is also very affordable, purchase at Total Wine if you’ve got one. Untitled Art has been a favorite of mine for a couple years, along with Two Roots which sadly is going away. (Someone should offer them money as their recipe is the best) You guys missed Guinness which is exactly like the leaded version … maybe do a follow up? But great review and I have tried pretty much all of these.
BrewDog AF beers are pretty awesome. They can sometimes be a little light in body, but the taste is spot on. I'm a pale ale/session IPA with a lemon wedge kind of gal and BrewDog Nanny State is my fav.
I found this was better than the mocktail one. I like that Penn rated them based on how they are supposed to taste. If you do another nonalcoholic wine, mocktail, spirit, hard liquor one, can you rate them on how they are suppose to taste. Nice to know that there are actually a lot of good non alcoholic beers out there!!
Penn, you should try the Untitled Art brand stouts. I kid you not; their Chocolate Milk Stout and S'mores Stout are truly outstanding. Maybe not for the beach, but during the winter months.
I love Untitled Art's alcoholic variety drinks as well. Their beer is solid, and their seltzers are the best. Didn't surprise me that their n/a beer is the best of the bunch too. Solid brewery. This was insightful though, thank you.
Super excited to try Untitled Art now. Busch NA might also surprise Penn. It’s my husband’s favorite of the inexpensive NAs, but he otherwise enjoys Clausthaler Dry Hopped.
Athletic Brewing also sometimes puts out a west coast IPA called Tucker’s. It sells out FAST on their website but it’s my favorite of all of their line, I like it substantially more than their flagship IPA (which I do like).
We love the Athletic Brewing Company beers. My husband really likes their hazy IPA. I think their stout is great. If you put a lime in the up-side-dawn it tastes like a Corona, and their Cerveza tastes a lot like Dos XX. If we can find it we’ll try the Untitled Art, even though we are right next door to Wisconsin, Iowa is way behind in the non-alcoholic drink options. I just wish someone could come up with a really good NA wine.
When I drank alcohol, I was a big fan of wheat ales, like Blue Moon! Im not sure what classification it belongs in, but I also really enjoyed Yuengling! I believe it's a Lager! I will definitely be getting that Untitled Art one though! This was a cool video!
Hop water is amazing (I love hops). I'm excited about this video because I haven't dived into nonalcoholic beers yet and this gives me some places to start.
Try hoplark drinks ! It’s not a beer but selzer with hops “hopwater” or hoptea - unsweetened iced tea with hops. They have very hoppy ones and different levels of caffeine based on the tea. When you want something less heavy than a beer but want the taste.
I'd love you guys to try some German beer. Many have a non-alcoholic version as well and in my humble opinion I think they usually taste a lot like beer. But then again I don't drink that often. 🙃
Penn, you once joked in the comments about us hanging out. Unfortunately, I'm not into sports and I don't drink, but I think you're cool and would love to hang out and be friends. If you're drinking less, than that means we would be more likely to be able to be friends which makes me happy.
Just a little tip for Penn, if you google where they have it in your area, you don’t have to do as much driving from store to store looking for your favorite.
Unfortunately I wouldn’t rely to much on that because companies tend to not update what they carry. As someone in the beer and wine industry google says I carry one brand and I have never had it in my store so if you go that route make sure you call the place first before making the trip. :)
@@trudat1498 I bet some companies might be better at others at that :) You are probably right as well but it’s just my experience with things like that.
You should try Clausthaler Dry Hopped. The liquor store didn't have what you liked so I picked this instead and it actually wasn't bad at all. First sip, I could tell it was different but from then on, it was awesome beer...in my head.
As a former IPA head- turned sober- I really really really like- Rationale- their 3 IPAs are very accturate to NE stye hazy- and juicy hops flavors-- ALSO- Untitled art- westcoast is good and their Double IPA was really good. Lagunitas IPNA in a bottle is my favorite non alcoholic beer. If you haven’t tried that one, I recommend it! Quit drinking 8 months ago and loving life !🎉
Oh my goodness you guys this was as helpful as it was fun to watch. I am 7 years sober and my beloved is 10. We both miss the experience of kicking back with an IPA on a summer night. You forgot Coors 'Edge' and Lagunitas 'IPN/A'. Two of the best widely available NAs imo. Other good ones are: Asahi 0.0, Stella Artois Liberte, Peroni 0.0, and the Sierra Nevada NA. NAs are great on a hot day if you are in a situation where you want a beer but don't want the buzz.
Penn, I get you with the beers. Wish we could get more of the NAs out in SoCal. It’s a hunt. Hubs drinks Heineken 0.0 because it’s easy to find. I haven’t found one that I like yet. Gonna hunt down some of the beers you rated. 🎉
The Two Roots IPAs are also really good, particularly when they have Resin Riot. And the Untitled Art West Coast. Best low cal in my opinion is Wellbeing Match Day Light.
Quite the coincidence that this video comes out right after I decide to cut out alcohol for my long term health. Love the Athletic Lite, but now will be on the look out for the others that Penn liked!
I started enjoying non-alcoholic beer in Europe because they have a lot of it over there. And I like it during the day with a sandwich or lunch. When I don’t wanna drink something sweet
You know this is probably a good idea... No need to worry about Lola getting into stuff and experimenting. I will admit at her age I already knew what beers I liked and which spirits I loved. I drink beer occasionally - by occasionally I mean like every 6 months and 1 beer.
Here in Europe they make really good non alcoholic beer. I have had the Heineken before and as Penn notes close to the real thing. Same with most NA beers overhere. I prefer a Hefeweizen N/A I buy in Germany. I like the darker beers and harder to find them as NA. The NA IPAs I have tried are really close to an IPA. Odd thing is over here they sell alot of American IPAs along with regular IPAs.
All of Untitled Art NAs are quality. just found the west coast IPA this week too. I’m told their process is different which is part of what makes them stand out.
I love how Penn is super into breaking down each beer like a good cicerone and Kim is truly there for support.
😂 true

Kim's expressions make this 😂
Makes this unbearable
I love how kim is just nodding and smiling the whole way through.
During the pandemic, I was depressed as H-E-double-hockey-sticks but your videos helped me keep my sanity. Thank You.

I'm 16 weeks pregnant and loved watching this. I'll be going to get untitled art at my nearest total wine in Minnesota. Thank you!!! I love IPAs

Love the hashtag sobercurious! I've always assumed NA beers were flavorless, but it looks like I have some exploring to do!
I don't care about beer or fake beer - I watch just for a couple minutes of cuteness!
Agree...Untitled Art is for sure the top of the line NA beer. Brew Dog is another strong brand that is more in line with Brooklyn.
I appreciate this video. I had no idea there were so many N/A beers on the market. Sharp, O'Doulls, Buckler, etc. are among the seven or eight varieties in my area.

best na beer review ive seen, thnx guys!!
BrewDog AF beers are pretty awesome. They can sometimes be a little light in body, but the taste is spot on. I'm a pale ale/session IPA with a lemon wedge kind of gal and BrewDog Nanny State is my fav.

Thanks. This is awesome. I hope you find some more NA wine and do a video on those. ❤
Golly, Penn DOES have extensive experience in beer! Lol Fun recovery on the whole blonde Kim interaction. 🤪
I've had a few of these. I'm always a bit let down by Partake, but the Heineken is surprisingly good. I'd love to try the Brooklyn ones. Cheers.
Great review! We'll need to add this to our list of non-alcoholic drinks to try 🙂
Clausthaler is my favorite, WA hops and brewed in Germany, where the NA beers are on tap everywhere
We love the Athletic Brewing Company beers. My husband really likes their hazy IPA. I think their stout is great. Please try the Coors Edge. It tastes just like the old Coors Banquet beer.
My brother recently introduced me to Bravus Brewing's NA blood orange IPA. Very refreshing on a warm summer day.
I work in a wine and spirits store, and I have tried almost all the N/A’s we carry. Majority are really good.
What a great video, subscribed.
When I drank alcohol, I was a big fan of wheat ales, like Blue Moon! Im not sure what classification it belongs in, but I also really enjoyed Yuengling! I believe it's a Lager! I will definitely be getting that Untitled Art one though! This was a cool video!

Brew dog has some very good NAs and most at 20 calories. Just stay away from the Elvis AF unless you LOvE grapefruit.
Quit drinking 8 months ago and loving life !🎉
I'm an IPA fan myself. While not a IPA I highly recommend trying the Clausthaler. It's a solid Non Alcoholic beer.
Her reactions 😂. But I really appreciate his honest opinions.

I am a huge hop head and way before my time. So much so I have been homebrewing for decades to make beer that I like to drink.
Hop on!
Loved this!
Guiness, Corona and Athletic Brewing IPA NA have been our favorites so far.
There was so much potential for so many Penn's best jokes. 😂😅
Highly recommend Woodland Farms Brewery… the Pointer & Dark are fantastic!
If you like stouts or dark beers, try Bravus Oatmeal Dark (brewery is located in Anaheim)
Penn, I get you with the beers. Wish we could get more of the NAs out in SoCal. It’s a hunt. Hubs drinks Heineken 0.0 because it’s easy to find. I haven’t found one that I like yet. Gonna hunt down some of the beers you rated. 🎉
I’m in San Diego. Try Clausthaler Dry Hopped. Trader Joe’s. ❤
The Two Roots IPAs are also really good, particularly when they have Resin Riot. And the Untitled Art West Coast. Best low cal in my opinion is Wellbeing Match Day Light.
sober summer from vermont - we have rescue club by zero gravity up here. the pils is wonderful!

I'm not a beer person either but my hubby has tried many and loves Hairless Dog black ale. (Made by Finnegan's)
As a fellow IPA-hole who is cutting back on alcohol consumption, I appreciate this video.
New name for the Partake Hazy IPA…..inspired by Penn and Kim :Partake Dyed Blonde💕
I was thinking strawberry blond.
Penn should try Hoplark and their hop teas/NA beer. My favorite is the Citra bomb hoptea I swear it tastes just like Hopslam (Bell's brewing)
Penn needs to try Two Roads Juicy IPA. I've had so many NA beers and this one is my top 3!
Where did you get these?
Here in Europe they make really good non alcoholic beer. I have had the Heineken before and as Penn notes close to the real thing. Same with most NA beers overhere. I prefer a Hefeweizen N/A I buy in Germany. I like the darker beers and harder to find them as NA. The NA IPAs I have tried are really close to an IPA. Odd thing is over here they sell alot of American IPAs along with regular IPAs.
And the Penn's Best is the best price of all of them. 👍🏅🏆
Decided to give my liver a break too. This is a great alternative, tea totaling gets old fast and I dislike soda.
Guinness Zero is also an NA that gets really close to the original. 9/10 highly recommend.
What is an ipa?
Bravus Brewing (California) have an entire line of NA beer and they’re quite good. Give them a try!
really like u did this! tasted tried shared how felt
All of Untitled Art NAs are quality. just found the west coast IPA this week too. I’m told their process is different which is part of what makes them stand out.
"I'm an IPA*sshole." LOL!! None of them are going to meet the standards of Voodoo Ranger.
