I work at a brand new non-alcoholic bar in Orlando! We use Monday whiskey and gin & the ritual rum & tequila and they are fantastic! As well as many NA bitters, aperitifs, wine & beer!! Love this!
Thanks from those of us who come from long lines of severe alcoholics yet like the images associated with certain drinks. Like reclining in a leather chair with nice glass of Scotch with two cubes of ice and a good leather bound book.
Super excited about this, was diagnosed with epilepsy two years ago and had to stop drinking some of my favorite alcoholic beverages due to my meds. I’m definitely gonna look into this.
Very entertaining! Good new direction for your channel - should increase your viewers. I'm from Scotland so non-alcoholic whisky is an unusual concept... Great facial expressions when you were tasting them!
Need more people embracing non-alcoholic for sure! I said adieu to alcohol more than a year ago now, but still have that craving for that taste sometimes. I've tried different alcohol free beers and it has been hard to find one that has quite that flavor, but it is good enough to make it worthwhile to avoid the alcohol for sure. :)
I've tried them all and my 2 favorites are Becks NA and Clausthaler Dry Hopped IPA. Both could pass as regular beer at a bar. After mowing my little one acre field there's just nothing like a nice cold beer!
I cannot imagine ever buying non-alcoholic whisky myself, but anyone who is a place where they have a use for such a thing, I am TOTALLY in support of them having the best experience possible. Thank you for bringing this to the people. Somewhere out there are people who need this, and I hope so much they get these four and decide vehemently that your ranking is totally backwards.
I quit drinking due to health and attempted suicide. All my friends drink when we get together so I bring my Kentucky whiskey. No alcohol. Still feel apart of everything. Toasted to our fallen friends. I enjoy it.
@@travischaddock4826 I’m a brain tumor survivor and I get chronic migraines and alcohol is a trigger so I love no alcoholic spirits as an option to have a cocktail once in a while
Non-alcoholic beer and drinks are f****** stupid LOL. Yet they pretty much saved me when I decided to become sober. I go to bars I'm still able to socialize, spend money, have a beer or two and watch the game. So I secretly love them now but I will never tell. oh....shit.
Due to medication, I cannot drink anymore. I appreciate this review. I've watched a few now, and Monday's seems to have hit the mark the closest to a palatable whiskey substitution. Just like everything, taste preference is to the individual.
I just learned about non-alcoholic whiskey so I bought some Spritless today. I’m enjoying my non-alcoholic Jack and Coke now. You just can’t expect that this will be the same thing, because it definitely is not. But the drink I made is tasty, so that’s fine with me, and the 15 calories per serving is going to be good for my waistline!
Thanks JB. I didn’t know there was non alcoholic whiskey - which was my drink as well. After not a ton of success with the NA beer, my hopes aren’t overly high but I’m gonna give it a go. The more options the better!!
Well that was unexpected but quite interesting to watch to be honest. I would joke that this test should not be done being sober :P But I prefer black Ceylon tea anyway :D
Only one I've tried is the Lyre's Highland, which they market as being the only one designed to sip neat. I was not impressed. A good effort to simulate the burn with a Cayenne pepper, but the burn just kind of lingered uncomfortably. Where it really fell short, and I suspect its the same here, is the texture. Just too watery, and lacks the mouth feel of the real deal. If they can figure that out, they will have a compelling option.
I'm going to put in a plug for Quebcol liqeurs made in Lac Megantic. Lot of good artisanal gins here. I do like near beer! I hate Jack, but I like Honey Jack.
Just starting my non-alcohol journey. Was SO hoping one of these whiskeys was like the real thing. Like others, appreciate your honesty. I tried a 0-rose wine the other day. Horrible. Like flavored kool-aid. Like I say, just starting the search. If anyone out there can just cut me to the chase... and save me a bunch of time and expectation... Is there ANY zero-alcohol in existence that tastes like the real deal? Can it be done? Or are they all hugely disappointing. Oh and btw, I'm talking mostly straight, or on the rocks. Vodka, rum, gin, tequila, whiskey?? Thank you in advance!
From my experience, the best non-alcoholic spirits are botanicals that aren't trying to be something else, but just doing their own original thing. Tennyson's Black Ginger, Seedlip Herbal, and Pathfinder Hemp and Root are examples of what I'm talking about. The NA whiskeys I've tried are disappointing. There are some NA gins that are decent.
Lyre's Highland Malt (Traditional Reserve) is the one you are looking for, but it's often out of stock. There are so many types of Whiskey. Bourbon, Irish, Tennessee, Scotch? You like a peaty Scotch, from what you have described. None of these were modelled after a peaty scotch. The labelling of these whiskies are horrible due to trademarks of names. Refill the amount you used in those bottles with your favorite bourbon and then you'll be able to drink them, they will have very little real whisky in them. Unless you are trying to abstain completely, mixing half and half or at least 10-20% real is the only way you can use these. I agree the American Malt is the worst Lyres product hands down, and Ritual doesn't make much of anything I would order again. Oh and another trick is to use these in a Whiskey sour. It really helps alot. It also helps to put real whisky in an atomizer and mist the finished cocktail with it. Have a great day and thanks for your reviews. You might want to try to new Seir Hill Mashville. It is a Tennessee style like Jack Daniels. That would probably be really good with your gingerale. The Lyre's Highland malt is designed as a sipper.
Great questions!! I am back on my N/A videos and we will do that. I also have N/A champaign we will do a video on for the New Year and N/A Beer :) Thanks for the suggestion might as well try!

I am drinking Kentucky 74 Old Fashioned right now with Stirrings Old Fashioned mix and a bit of Liber Old Fashioned Syrup and orange peel. It is amazing, tastes like a real Old Fashioned, just the right amount of sweet and bitter. I tried Ritual and it was disgusting.
I gotta say…I love you…great honesty! Maybe n/a gin has a better chance with tonic. As for whiskey…let’s only drink the good stuff until somebody comes up with a decent flavor!
@@morningcoach BTW, I tried Monday n/a gin and bourbon, in the wise words of my Mom…pure horse pee! I’m sticking with only the good stuff. Life is too short to live without good whiskey❤️ and I’d rather just drink a nice Tonic than mixing with bad Gin. I’m following you!

Non alcoholic cider really captures it for me.
I find that Sober Carpenter is right on for NA beer, with Athletic Brewing IPA also being identical flavor that I can tell.
Heineken 0.0 works for me, athletic brewing IPA is great too. IT's hard to find mocktails that don't have a shiteload of sugar. 😆

I am working with a few guys who are coming up with something might be good will keep you posted.
Do you have any update videos? Did you try the “mixture” approach?
