I can say, without any shred of doubt, that you have one of the best UA-cam channels for cooking! I made your Mississippi Pot Roast and added into the dish a dash (😉) of red wine and boom, the best goddamn pot roast I have ever tasted! I would literally put this gravy on my cereal without milk and be content lol! Seriously, I want to tell you to keep up the good work and keep posting your recipes! 😃

I cooked Mississippi Pot Roast yesterday. A friend suggested I try it, but he used a Crock Pot. I told him I would use my Instant Pot. I watched this video, pressure cooked my roast for the same time as the video. It was perfect. I watch a lot of Pressure Luck videos and learned how to use my Instant Pot. I have plenty of leftovers to bring to work for lunch. Thank you very much for these videos. 😁

I have had my instant pot for about 3 years and I have tried other recipes from other people. Non of those were a hit with my family. I only use your cookbook, videos and recipes now and my family raves about my cooking. I made the Mississippi Roast tonight and when it was time to make the gravy I had my mom, husband and a daughter saying you can't make it like that! I made it the way you said to and they all loved it. I made doggy bags of gravy for them to take home. You rock!!!!!!!

What Synfully said.....also, because of you I want to cook. I follow several UA-camrs who have cooking channels.
You make cooking so easy!! For me that’s so important. I’ve never been one to understand food, what goes well with what, or how to make something good. I’ve just never been a cook! You have changed this for me 100%! I hope you realize just how important you are to many of us here...if you don’t realize it, start, because we/I appreciate you so very much for what you are teaching me! Thank you!!

Jeff. You have changed my life. I was scared of seasonings, growing up in the south where salt, pepper and fatback were pretty much IT. THEN I got my instant pot. And I found your channel!!! Now, I throw it all in there and experiment and I ain't scared no more!! 😂
Bless you. Thank you from Alabama. 💖

I am from near Chicago and we have this thing called Italian beef. If you do basically the same thing but use Italian dressing to replace the ranch you will have Italian beef for an amazing sandwich served on a good Italian bread and the gravy for dipping or soaking the bread. You will thank me later!

I owned a Chicago Beef restaurant in So Cal (I'm from Chicago). BUNCH of WHINERS here, It's too wet, blah blah, or the pizza is too thick, etc, California has NOOOOO LOVE for authentic Chicago Food, I even bought Al Capones chimney to brick a wall. No one cared!!!

Any Ital. Beef sandwich I've ever had, has been a different texture of beef than what you get in this recipe. If memory serves me correct, its a sliced beef as opposed to a shredded beef which is what the pot roast is

I’ve done a lot of research and your recipe is the most flavorful. Adding garlic and brown sugar takes it over the top. I really enjoyed this dish. Only change I made was adding Worcestershire sauce like you did in the Mississippi Chicken recipe. So flavorful. I’ll definitely make this one again. That gravy is amazing. It’s lick-your-plate-clean good. I love your recipes so much.

I made it this evening and it was a huge success! The meat was so tender and full of flavor. I used the "deli-cut" pepperoncinis so you don't have to cut the stems off! Next time (and there will be a next time!), for ease, I'll brown the meat in my cast-iron skillet.

Made this yesterday. Super easy! I did the sliced peppers and it came out a bit spicier than I thought it would but it's incredible! I thought it was a bit salty at first (maybe consider using unsalted butter to make the gravy). But the next day, the salt had mellowed and actually it was a bit more spicy but even better!!! Love it! Will definitely make again!

I followed this recipe exactly and my instant pot kept going to "food burn" so I'd take everything out, wash (and scrape) out my pot and tried it again - twice - finally (the third time) I added 2 and a quarter cups of extra water and it was fine after that. When I was finally able to get it cooking it did come out very very delicious even though I watered it down so it would cook. I feel like the flavor was not compromised at all, in fact I feel like if I hadn't added the extra water it would have become too salty. It was probably the single best pot roast I've ever made so if anyone else is having trouble with the sauce being too thick and going to food burn then this was my experience and how I fixed it.

Mine did the same thing. Show "food burn". I took meat out and it looked fine so not sure what happened. I put a rack in the bottom so that the meat wasn't sitting directly on the pot and started it again. That did the trick. I am waiting for it to finish so we'll see what it is like not sitting in all of the liquid. Hope it's good - it's been a bit of a nightmare making it!

Thank you so much for this recipe, I've never had luck cooking roast beef or making gravy and both turned out wonderfully. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent and look forward to your book in April.

Never move the meat when it sticks to the bottom. Once the right amount of browning forms it will release on its own.

Make this tonight. The meat was unbelievably tender and yummy! We did find it to be pretty spicy and a little salty. I think next time I'll use less of the pepperoncini and not sure how I'll cut the salt. Thanks for the amazing meat though!

Honey....don't force the meat to move around, let it sit till it lets go by itself. Perfect carmalization! God built that into the meat for us! Thank you God!!
Great video! Thanks, keep up the good work.
Looking forward to whatever's coming next.
