I made the chocolate chip cookies exactly as described, except I used the peanut butter there instead of the cashew butter, and wow was I impressed. When I finished eating some, I got that thought of "I should eat something else since I just had cookies", but then remembered how healthy these were. These could practically be a full on night-time meal because of how nutritious they are. I recently cut out added sugar and this is a great way to satisfy that sweet craving!!
Made the regular chocolate chip today, I was very skeptical due to the use of beans but went with my move anyway and I’m glad that I did! I’m Impressed at how good they are, thank you.
Just made the choc chip version, very delicious soft cookie. I added golden flaxseeds, oats and pecans to my batter, it has a lovely crunch to contrast the soft cookies. Edit: If anyone is struggling with a loose batter, I definitely recommend putting the batter in the fridge to firm up before baking, just like you would a standard cookie dough. Also for my thin cookie lovers, letting the cookies set up overnight gives them a more sturdy texture. Just had another cookie for breakfast and it was even better than the one last night.

Another fabulous set of recipes from Javant! Thank you for these scrumptious options. I've made two out of three so far - the regular chocolate chip cookies with chick peas (amazing!), and the double chocolate ones (I used a can of black beans for those instead since that is what I had on hand). Both were absolutely delicious and the texture was something between a cookie and a brownie. Just wonderful!

Totally get it, thank you! I've been thinking about it and maybe we can make our own chocolate chips, melting chocolate and mixing it with dates that had been processed in a food processor until they are "creamy", then mixing with the chocolate, spreading the mixture in a tray cover with parchment paper, letting set and then brake it into tiny pieces or using a pastry bag, dropping it like little morsels on parchment paper. If this idea is not too crazy and if you have any tips, please share with me, in the meantime I will try this crazy idea and share how does it go later on.😁

In the written recipe I recommend flattening them , unless you want a fudgier texture. They are suppose to be a soft-batch cookie with more of a cakey consistency. Hope that helps
Do you have any crispy cookie recipes? I really like crispy cookies more than soft ones. But I still really enjoyed these ideas. Maybe if I put coconut in this recipe it would make them more chewy and crispy on top? Either way I’m loving your channel!
I have always liked soft batch cookies, so these are the perfect recipe for me. I do have cookie recipes posted here using almond flour as the base and those could be made crispy easier by cooking them longer.
@@healthyveganeating I hear you 😌Thanks for sharing!! I found if I store these in the fridge I do enjoy them more. They turned out more like brownies than cookies for me. And when I think of them like fudge or brownies I do enjoy them more! The flavour is good 😌
I cannot do chickpeas or cashew butter. I can probably swap out the latter with sunflower butter, but any thoughts on replacing the chickpeas? Perhaps black beans? Quinoa flour?
Hello from India! I tried this recipe today and it tasted good. However it was soft and cake-like in the inside. Is it how it's supposed to be? I was expecting a more crispy texture.
I mentioned that this recipe is for soft batch cookies rather than crispy. Please read the entire recipe, including the notes. If you follow precisely, and let them cool completely, they should be great. 🙂
Oh my goodness! I just made the chocolate chips one. I'm definitely making the other two in the future. ❤❤❤ I won't put in baking soda again because you can taste it very slightly.
Tried these.❤❤❤❤❤Is it a crime to eat these multiple times over several days???? I'm older, I need to increase my protein intake😁 Making more right now.
As always, I appreciate you sharing your great recipes with us. My question is can I substitute date sugar instead of actual dates? If so, do you know the amount I would use for each date? Thank you so much! ❤️
Yes, I am sure that would work, but it would take an adjustment to the amount of water. I haven't done it with date sugar, so I am not sure what the measurements would be.
@@healthyveganeating I sure will! I already made your awesome fig newtons. I had Turkish figs in pantry, which was good and tasty, but will next time also try with mission figs to get that classic look, slightly different taste. Keep up the great work 👍

@@healthyveganeating I made them! Amazing. They taste as sweet as if they were made with sugar - and peanut buttery. The texture's soft and very close to cookies made with flour. Delicious. I'm going to share the recipe.
HI JAVANT I love your recipes. I tried the cookies and I have no idea what I did wrong -they looked like yours going into the oven(I only made the regular chocolate chip cookies) -but after baking they spread a little and were real soft. I used sunflower seed butter no added oil and they were darker coming out of the oven? Maybe left in too long?Yours looked denser and you were able to chew them . Mine were not dense nor chewy. I did have to use the whole half cup of water slowly to get your consistency and I did use bought date past instead of dates which i measured with the tablespoon. Any ideas? Thank you.
Thank you so much for appreciating my recipes! As far as the cookies are concerned, these do bake up like a soft batch cookie. They are a little "cakey" in texture, not chewy, but they should still hold up once they've cooled. Perhaps a little extra baking time would help. Also, using the store bought date paste could be the issue. As for the darkness, when you bake with sunflower butter and baking soda it can turn dark and greenish in color, this is due to a chemical reaction and is said to still be safe to eat. Hope this helps.
Looks so , delicious! I can’t wait to make these delicious cookies! I will definitely also research and look for those dates. Sweetened chocolate chips thanks for providing such great recipes.

You can use any variety of white beans
❤❤❤ don't like chocolate but I could watch you discuss how grass grows😅
🤣🤣
😁 I like that 👌🏾
😂😂😂
I'm going to try them with raisins. If I use chips I'll eat too many at a time.
You sir are amazing! Those cookies look delish! Thank you so much.
You are so welcome
Hey dude - you’re a legend & love your recipes - thank you👍🙏
I appreciate that!
So happy I discovered your channel! Thank you!!💙
Thank you for being here and appreciating! 🙏🏾
These look so yummy! My grands will enjoy making!🤗
Do the beans or chickpeas need to soak in water for an amount of time before using? Thank you!
They should be cooked first or you could buy them in a can already cooked
Would you mind sharing what kind of food processor you use, please?

Hello from India! I tried this recipe today and it tasted good. However it was soft and cake-like in the inside. Is it how it's supposed to be? I was expecting a more crispy texture.
I mentioned that this recipe is for soft batch cookies rather than crispy. Please read the entire recipe, including the notes. If you follow precisely, and let them cool completely, they should be great. 🙂
Thank you so much for all these yummy yet healthy recipes, you are so appreciated ❤
You're welcome, thank you for appreciating!
Thanks for sharing this. Looks amazing.. definitely gonna try. Trying to make some changes to my diet 👌🏿❤
Hope you like it!
Oh my goodness! I just made the chocolate chips one. I'm definitely making the other two in the future. ❤❤❤ I won't put in baking soda again because you can taste it very slightly.
Glad you liked them, hope you enjoy the next ones as much 🙂
These look great!❤
Thank you!!
Tried these.❤❤❤❤❤Is it a crime to eat these multiple times over several days???? I'm older, I need to increase my protein intake😁 Making more right now.
Love it! 😁
Amazing! I was skeptical when the dough was more like cake batter but they turned out great!!
Glad you liked it!!
Looking good. I'll give it a try. Thank you
👌🏾
These will ALL have fairly high protein . Yum. Already subscribed so I added the notification Bell .
Awesome! Thank you!
Is there an alternative to the protein powder? Thank you! The cookies look really good.
Two of the cookies don't have protein powder in their recipes.
Can these be frozen?
They look soooo good. Thank you!
Yes they can!
I absolutely cannot wait to make these and share with my friends and family! Thank you for all your amazing and healthy vegan recipes! 🌱☺️
Nice, I love that!
You and your delicious recepies are a godsend. Bless you! 💚
Glad you like them!
these look insanely good!! i will make them! 🙏 thank you!
Please do!
@@healthyveganeating I sure will! I already made your awesome fig newtons. I had Turkish figs in pantry, which was good and tasty, but will next time also try with mission figs to get that classic look, slightly different taste. Keep up the great work 👍
Nice! I love Turkish figs and apricots 👌🏾
Thank you! Gonna try these for sure. I'm a huge fan of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, but since going vegan, I haven't had them because I'd always used box cake mix. I love the idea of using beans, so I might just get creative with one of your recipes! 😁
Sounds great!
Those look delicious!
So good!
I so enjoy watching your videos! So much insight on healthy living, healthy eating vegan style. These cookies are on my mind 24/7 LOL! I cannot wait to make them.😃Thank You so much!!!🙏🏽
You're so welcome, hope you enjoy!
Thank you your recipes are amazing. I ❤️ baking haven't done much before finding your channel now I'm fired up. The lemon blueberry cake my absolutely favorite
Love it. The lemon-blueberry cake is one of my favorites too!
Love your channel. I'm going to try the peanut butter recipe soon.
It's so good!
@@healthyveganeating I made them! Amazing. They taste as sweet as if they were made with sugar - and peanut buttery. The texture's soft and very close to cookies made with flour. Delicious. I'm going to share the recipe.
Beautiful! 👌🏾
I may love them tooo much! Sadly I have no control with desserts so I prefer to stay clear. Enjoy them!
They’re made from beans and dates primarily which is why they’re super healthy for a cookie 🙂
You are so welcome! You can purchase them from Whole Foods and online.
I love your channel and I will be sharing among all my friends into healthy eating 😊
Thank you for your channel
Thank you! I love this message!
Hi. I am new to your channel. I am definitely going to try these. I know if Black Bean Brownies, which I absolutely did not think I would like, taste really good then these have to taste good too. Thanks for the recipes.
You're welcome, enjoy!
