#LEGO #LEGOMovie
I remember going to the theaters to see the lego movie in for my birthday in 8th grade with my friends, we loved it soooo much. I ended up getting Bennys spaceship for Christmas later that year and became interested in vintage lego. which has certainly grown from then on.
I remember a kid getting VERY excited when the TMNT were featured so much that he called out "Michelangelo" so loud during silence. I'm glad he had a good time
@@HollyOnFilmLoL 🤣😆TMNT. Yay. Are the best .🐢🐢🐢🐢🐀
Lego movie is responsible for Chris Pratt voicing Garfield 😐
A crime
And Mario 💀💀💀

"And that's when he realizes he's alone and has no friends"
Never heard a more relatable quote in my life
Liam Neeson as Bad Cop was really funny.
He was fantastic and it was such a fun callback too to him in Taken
This movie was dedicated to Ole Kirk Christiansen! A carpenter, a toy maker, and a true master builder that inspires by many to create anything is possible and *only the best is good enough*
The Lego movie is still my number one favourite movie still to this day
I rewatched it just the other day, and it's somehow even more hilarious and clever than when I first saw it in theaters!
The storyline too never gets old
I love the Duplo at the end. Little kid voices for these things that want to destroy everything…😂
I miss the days when LEGO worked with Warner Bros. I feel it was the true peak - The Movies, The Dimensions properties, more DC sets, Scooby-Doo sets and LOTR/Hobbit sets.
Daily battle between “let them play” and Lord Business here! Our house LOVES the LEGO MOVIE(s)! Chris Pratt needs more characters in LEGO. (Emmett, Rex, Starlord, Mario, Owen Grady)
I love this movie and thought it was so clever, funny, original, and whimsical. It definitely got to the heart of the importance of creativity which is a huge cornerstone of LEGO. I do relate to Will Ferrell's character anytime my nieces and nephew come over to play. There's my collection and then a separate selection for them! lol!
Saying that it came out 10 years ago makes me feel old
I didn't realize this video was gonna be a play by play of the Lego Movie.
Yes it did! After watching the LEGO Movie, I broke the pattern of just building what is on the box, and embraced the “Build what ever you can with the pieces you have” idea. This started with a car carrier (way back in 2014 when I was 9 yrs old) to a life-size Lightsaber (in 2023). Thanks for talking about such a great movie. I am going to watch it very soon.
The Lego Movie is still my favorite animated movie ever made. It was the right movie at the right time for me.
I haven't seen the Mario movie as I'm not a very big Mario fan, but I'm a huge Chris Pratt fan and enjoy almost all of his movies.
There was also that Unikitty spin-off show that nobody watched.
the lego movie is what the lego movie 2 aspires to be
“Cover the what??” Favorite LEGO joke!
I love your commentary on this. So funny!
Hell yeah, Holly with a mic
Amazing movie that truly changed people’s perspective on LEGO. Amazing sets too!
I get humor is subjective, but Lego movie is still in my top funniest movies I’ve watched. At the time it came out I was in my mid twenties and didn’t really play or care about legos. I was taken by surprise with how entertaining and hilarious the movie was with its vast references to so many pop cultural icons. It definitely peaked my interest back into the brand and a few years later I bought my first set as an adult. Now over the last few years I’ve probably spent an unholy amount on legos and I feel like it all started with the Lego movie.
Also, side note, only set I ever got as a kid was one of the Harry Potter 2001 sets, the final challenge, with Harry and Quirrell. So maybe a seed was planted then, but really Lego movie opened the door.
How was Benny not mentioned ONCE?😭
Just to let you know, you spelled years as tears in the description.
7:53 forgot to mention the real Michelangelo (Buonarroti) and his famous statue "David"
Great Video Holly
Growing up is realizing that the dad is (mostly) right. NEVER GLUING MY SETS THOUGHHH
What a recap!!!! Watching the movie now!
Idk if anything will top the hilarious irony that is the fact that many afols (who probably saw and enjoyed The Lego Movie when it came out) have now become exactly what the movie portrayed as bad with their “rEsaLe ValUe” and their sealed set collections 😂
Omg I literally am a Lego movie baby. It birthed Bricksnaps
2:00 I quote the Lego movie all day long literally the jokes land so hard for me
I guess I didn’t realize it but the city is totally a dystopia!
Hey love your video, they really inspire me. Do you have any tips on Lego content?
It's crazy that it's been a decade. I still remember seeing it in theaters.
Lego movie was a cultural reset and im glad you said it.
I adored the LEGO movie
I still think they missed an opportunity for a really obscure joke by not naming the second movie "A Separate Piece."
The lego movie is single-handedly the greatest movie ever made
That's pushing it. I think Snakes On A Plane is better.
@@TheFirstCurse1 lol
I was gonna buy lego levi hoodie but i wont its $220 and holly sold hers
This movie really changed my life for the worst😂 at least I know what I’m interested in.
Only I love this franchise is teaching the value of family
I don't recall him getting an Oscar.
holly talking for 18 minutes straight ... another future voice actor? 😊
Great video, Still such a fun film 😊

It’s to the point where I feel like a weirdo/troll clicking and commenting on your old videos. But I genuinely want to know what’s wrong with your lips?
1st
Can you do videos we actually want pls. Your Lego room and display series ain’t finished
I'm still waiting on a few things before I'm able to make the big updates that I want to
Who's to say that no one wanted this video?
10 years… That hurts to say out loud 😭
It flew by so fast
Isn't Good Cop/Bad Cop also voiced by Qui Gon himself Liam Neeson?
Your recap of the mobie was hilarious 😅
Bricksbirg looks so cool
Surprised you didn't shout out your fellow Aussies at Animal Logic, the studio that did the animation!
A friend of the show too! (And by that I mean I’ve been inside their office twice)
I have fond memories of this film . Before i saw the film, i got the melting room set, and i used to do this thing where i would mix Lego sets into my collection (which now i kinda regret) and i used to rebuild them into something else and i watched the movie and that movies message being be creative build what you want is probably the reason my creativity and my imagination is bigger than anything in 2014 i was 6 years old in school i thought this movie was the most magnificent fantastically perfect amd i watched it maybe about a month ago i watched it again and it is still perfect oh and this film is the reason i love classic space and i say spaceship excitedly while building lego spaceships and benny is amazing thanks so much for reading
Oh holly thanks for the heart reaction i appreciate it also i love this video and your channel as a whole
I need to re watch this movie 🎉
I genuinely can’t believe it’s been a decade since this came out!! I remember seeing this in a theatre with my Mother. We really enjoyed the movie for what it is! I do love the theme of inspiration and while the plot element was nothing new. They really managed to make it work. Also, the movie Being an “anti glue Lego” message was nice too
I WAS 6 YRS OLD I MADE SOME INTERESTING BUILDS AND I SPENT A COUPLE 100 DOLLARS ON LEGO😅
To be fair this movie was Goated, i remember when it released, i had watched it so many times i had the movie memorized 😂
Hay holly ❤ thank s for the run thru. On the movie. Scriped Plot ..i wacheded the movie few years back as i got a dvd copy . .but not every thort about. The scrpt of the movie .
I feel like this is one of the reasons why people hated Big Hero 6. The fact it got nominated for an Oscar, but not The Lego Movie it and even beat How to train your dragon 2
Chris Pratt instead of Frank Welker in the garfield movie was a huge mistake.
The Lego movie turned me gay
What - no sharing of the year 7 photo?
It was baaadddd... I also have no clue where it is sadly
0:00 started the video by making me feel old af 💀
good video
Such an awesome movie! I can’t believe it’s been that long already. Well next year it will be 10 years since the Force Awakens.
The real important anniversary is that it's the 20th anniversary of Revenge Of The Sith. That's the one that us Star Wars fans are excited for.
@@TheFirstCurse1 Absolutely 🔥! I 100% agree! Too bad it shares it with TFA on its 10th anniversary while ROTS on its 20th anniversary.
The first time I went to see this movie was when I was 11 years old. It truly blew my mind as a kid, and its crazy to think 10 years have gone by like that ever since this movie came out
The Lego Movie still remains one of my favourite animated movies, not just because I grew up with Lego throughout my childhood and teen years, but also because it was more than just a commercial film; it was a heartfelt, well written and passionate celebration of the power of imagination and creativity that made the childhoods of countless people, including myself.
This was such an entertaining video 😀
